We bought a Kodak AIO 5300 about 2 years ago. We fell in love with it right off the bat. My mom thought the print quality of some photos I printed for her was so great, that she went out and bought the same printer. We both have really liked our printers until about 6 months ago when BOTH of our printers stopped working at the same time. We had the same problem - we'd put a new ink cartridge in because it wasn't printing with all the colors anymore. But then it still wouldn't work. We both contacted the Kodak Customer Service Department, and tried the things they suggested. In the end, it turned out to be the print head for both of us. The nice thing was that Kodak sent us both replacement print heads at no charge to us. It was easy to replace ourselves, and the printer started working perfectly again after that. However, now, a few months later, my photo paper tray isn't working properly. I haven't contacted Kodak yet, but I am confident that when I do, they will assist me. It is a great...

The Kodak Easy Share all-in-one printer is perfect for my family. We use it mostly as a printer but is perfect for the occasional copy of scan. It was easy to install on our computer and works very fast. Sometimes it may take a few minutes to warm up, but we have never had any problems with it being to slow. It is light weight so I can put in back in my bedroom when I am done, and doesn't take up much space. To be a printer scanner and copier it works great, I would definitely recommend this to all my friends. The printer refills are moderatley priced, they are for sure cheaper than our old printer. You can change the settings to draft mode and not use as much ink, so it will last longer. I print almost everyday and I don't have to replace my ink more than once or maybe twice, for the color, a month. We did find this printer on clearence and paid $40, so it was worth the money we paid.

If you want a high quality all-in-one inkjet printer that does not cost a lot in consumables like ink, then the Kodak EasyShare 5300 printer (or its family of printers) is the printer for you. It has the features of a typical all in one. It scans, prints and photocopies. It doesn't have a fax function, but this is not usually a strict requirement in this age of email and ftp downloads. The printer connects to any free USB port on your computer and can print a photo within a minute.

The EasyShare 5300 has a large 3 inch LCD screen that allows editing and printing of pictures from a memory card such as SD or compact flash, without needing to turn on the computer. It can also make black and white and colour photocopies as well with just of a button. The printouts are always crisp and beautiful. Scanning is also very easy from the on-printer menu or using the software that is included with the printer.

I was so excited when Kodak started coming out with printers that I rushed right out to buy one. After buying a 5100, I also purchased a 5300. These printers print beautiful printers when they are working. There is a known problems with the printheads though. I have replaced my printheads several times and even had Kodak send out several different replacement printers and have still had problems. Customer service has been really painful to deal with as it is not handled in the US, and I was never able to get them to let me speak to a supervisor or transfer to the US. In doing more research after having so many problems I have found that Kodak has actually withdrawn from the Better Business Bureau which to me says alot about what kind of problems they are having. On a positive note I recently found the email for the executive director online and sent him an email describing what I have been going through. They are now working with me on a higher level and have done a total...

I was very happy with the deal I got when I purchased this printer until the second ink changing. The printer heads in this series are deafaulty. I had to spend two hours on the phone with customer service for them to send me a new print head. The printer was printing ink at all. Finally I recieved the new one and installed it. My printer worked until the 3rd ink changing and now it's not printing at all and my ink is brand new. Its so fustrating and upsetting. When it does work its amazing on using little ink and the pictures are beautiful....

I would not recommend this printer for anything other than printing occasionally. It has a nice copier and scanner. I have had to replace the print head twice and it is only one year old. I use this printer for a small business and have found it isn't very accommodating for printing brochures which are only fronts and backs of two pages. The ink seems to print lines through pictures. I have to clean the print head often, probably once a week. That seems to help - but only for a short period of time. After trying to troubleshoot the problems I have had with this printer, I contacted Kodak and they were very accommodating. Each time (twice) they sent me new print heads.

The printer also seems to be very sensitive to paper. I get a lot of paper jams. It also seems to pull several pieces of paper through at a time. Therefore, when printnig brochures, I have to sit and watch it and feed one piece of paper through at a time which is very time consuming.

Kodak easyshare is well worth the purchase. I would recommend it to anyone. I have had mine for 2 years and never had a problem. I purchased two other ones within a year and a half. So definetly a seller. My husband kind of doubted it at first but he told me, "well honey you were right once again." Don't hear that too often....

The Kodak 5300 all in one printer is by far the best printer that is available on the market today. Not only is it reasonably priced but you can actually afford to purchase the ink. The 4x6 photo dock feature allows you to print your own photos right from your home. This printer has the best photo quality I have ever seen!!!...

I switched from canon to kodak after the canon ceased to print just after the warrenty expired. Ink costs were the driving factor. I've had many different photo-quality printers, the worst of which was a lexmark. (put back in the box it came in after a month, no one even wants it for free.)

For a inkjet, this kodak is so fast for draft copy, it'll startle you! Cost per page about1/2 to 1/3 of any other brand I've used. I print photo-art on all kinds of materials, canvas, cardstock, textured papers, magnet sheets and all brands, kinds and finishes of photo paper. The blacks are deeper than most printers on all the medias.

To give you an idea how much use it gets, the first month I used 7 color, and 5 black cartridges preparing for a gallery show.

Also archived thousands of color/black&white photos from my mothers collection after she passed away, put them on disk to share with all the family. Everyone commented on the quality of the images that were scanned.

I love the all-in-one aspect of this printer/scanner. The quality of the print is excellent. The refill cartridges are only $9.99 for black and $14.99 for color. This printer/scanner is very easy to use even for us technologically challenged folk.
The negative side of this machine is, is that it is big and takes up a bit of space. Also, it doesn't warn you of low ink levels, it just won't print another thing until a replacement cartridge is installed, You have to make sure to always have extras on hand. Replacement cartridges are only available at Best Buy in my area and this makes it rather inconvenient, as it is a bit out of my way to go to. Overall I am pleased with this product and recommend it to everyone.

My mother bought me a Kodak digital camera for Christmas. Being in her 70's, and not knowing much about printers, she though she had to buy the printer, too. I already owned an all-in-one that I liked, but switched it out anyway. I love this printer. It does a wonderful job at all the functions, and is especially great at making everyday prints....and so easy! The thing I like the most is the cost of the print cartridges. $9.99 for black and $14.99 for color.....amazing! I can get a pack with both black and white and color at Sam's Club for $19.99. They last just as long as my expensive printer cartridges for my last printer. I have had no problems with it at all. Again, it is wonderful....

One of the reasons I always shyed away from buying a second printer is the high cost of ink cartridges. So until recently in 2008 I had been without a printer for almost eight years.

When I saw the 30 minute infomercial late one night about the EasyShare 5300 Kodak printer offering black & white ink cartridges at $9.95 each and $14.95 each for color, my ears perked up. I watched the infomercial, watched the comparisons and ended up buying one later in the week.

Yes, it is true. This printer from Kodak uses ink cartridges from the prices I stated above, sold in most retail stores. Their claim is that not only is their Kodak ink cheaper but will last on photos and documents for years longer than regular inkjet cartridges, due to an ink that Kodak has developed. You also get about 50% more photos/documents than you would with the expensive ink cartridges most stores sell today. That is their selling point and it is all true.
