I have had the Kodak 5100 All-In-One Printer for a few years now. My main use for the printer has been to print pictures from my computer. I think the quality of the printed pictures are very good. I have had trouble with the print head. It is frustrating when things don't come out as they should due to this print head problem. I have called Kodak though, and they have been very helpful with providing me with a new print head a couple times and even replaced the computer once, completely free of charge. So I can't complain too much.

I like that there is a separate place to use photo paper, but sometimes that causes me to accidentally print of the wrong type of paper, probably my fault though. the ink that this printer takes is very inexpensive because the print head remains in the printer. This is especially nice because I tend to go through a lot of ink for photos. Despite of a few problems I still like this printer and would like to stick with the Kodak brand for my photo printing...
...

I went to buy another Lexmark printer as I found it's cheaper to buy a new machine than to buy the ink. A salesperson came up to me and showed me the new Kodak 5100 all-in-one. I was a little hesitant as it was just new on the market. He then explained to me how the printer came about and it sold me. I asked about the ink cartridges and he said that that was the best part and took me to where they sold the ink. I couldn't believe the price! I buy the double pack which is $22.95 I was spending close to $85 on Lexmark ink cartridges! I bought the printer and an extra package of cartridges and it cost me $35 more than I would have paid for the Lexmark cartridges! I have owned my Kodak printer for two years now and it hasn't given me an ounce of trouble. The ink actually lasts quite a while and I can attest to that having 2 teenagers with a lot of homework! I highly recommend the Kodak 5100 and also the fact that I don't have to go to the store any more to have my pictures...
...

When I purchased the Kodak Easy-Share 5300 printer I was very excited about the economical replacement ink cartridges. Because I home school 6 children I thought the printer/scanner combination was perfect for me. I was using it on a daily basis and found that I was having to replace them quite frequently. And I was not even using it for photographs. It made me a bit upset because although the cartridges are less expensive, it seemed as though I was replacing them ALOT. Also, if the black ran out, I HAD to replace it. Otherwise it would not make any copies even in color. However, when I started to have trouble with the quality of the printing Kodak was extremely helpful with the online service. It was amazingly easy to chat with their tech people. Once they figured out was wrong, a new part was sent immediately at no cost as it was under warranty still. So for the money, I think it is a good product because the service is great. As far as the ink goes, I have just started printing more...
...

I just got off the phone with Kodak. These printers are defective and they will replace them free of charge. Just follow the troubleshooting steps on their website. The last step informs you to call the 800 number and use code PH01. The kodak rep took my info and is sending out a replacement printer which hopefully has all the bugs removed by now.
...

Purchased Kodak 5100- failed on initial set up, Kodak replaced. Replacement broke down every six months (usually eating up 3 sets of ink). Gave up and purchased a ESP3 because I liked the quality - ESP3 no better. Less then a week and photos are awful. Friends purchased Kodak 5100 and have had the exact experience. Overall the printer has cost me more to operate then any other printer on the market. I worked with computer printers for over 25 years including HP (probably about 50 different models), Brother and Epson. All were more reliable....

I have had my Kodak All in One printer for about 6 months now. I have been very pleased with the quality of the print jobs I have completed on it, and i like its versitility. It is really nice to have this combo at home. I have no been overwhelmd by the cost of at home printing. And I am very glad to own this product.

On the other hand, I have also had a lot of problems with the printer feeding more than one page at a time. In fact the whole paper feeding process has been frustrating for me with this printer.

I am by no means a computer expert; but, I doubt that most people reading this review are. So, if you are like me, I would recommend that you keep shopping before you buy this printer.
...

This printer has never print anything with out streaks, I have done all the maintenance it says to do, and things seem to be getting worse. Everyday it will stop printing black ink, so I have to run a printhead cleaning witch does seem to help (although everything still prints alittle gray) and then the next day same thing. When I print photos at the "best quality it comes out with green streaks. I am ready to cut my loses and buy something new. Maybe mine is just defective, but I would not reccommed the Kodak 5100 to anyone!!...

The new kodak 5100 printer is ok. Not as satisfied with this printer as I was with my previous printer, but it does an ok job. This printer is really loud. Photos so far have been good but not fantastic. Does seem to go through ink really fast. Printer seems to be quick. Overall I am quite satisfied, just had really high expectations since I really loved my previous printer....

This Kodak Inkjet Printer works pretty good. I'm very satisfied with the quality and turnout of my pictures. Overall, I would say it's probably one of the best printers I've personally used. I used to have a hard time figuring things out due to my lack of tech skills, but this printer is easy to use with user-friendly instructions. If you're looking for a good quality printer, I'd say go with this one!...

When I saw the infomercial on T.V., I knew I just had to have this printer. Everything they say is true. The quality is that of Kodak and this is another product that they can be proud of. The ink lasts very well and the price is less than have of what I am used to paying. I had a problem with the printer, called technical support and they told me exactly what was wrong and how to send the part back free of charge and while I was doing that, they had a new one with two complimentary ink cartridges included on its way to me. The support is super and the all in one printer is just the best in my opinion. It is perfect for those who are not real computer friendly as it is simple to use. I would highly recommend this to anyone who ants great pictures and documents....

I love the new way Kodak has the ink...

My husband almost backed out of getting me this printer until he saw the low price for the ink. We have a teen that loves to print out things and it gets costly with the other printers. So the $99 we paid fo rthe printer has saved us soooo much in the long run. And the ink last a long time unless doing really large graphics. I am a writter and am always printing out my revisions to read and edit and having to pay only $9.99 for the black in is soo cool.

I love the way Kodak put the USB port right on the printer and the program to use it is really easy as well. I do scanning in and the scanner is wonderful no lines in the middle like some have been reported to do.

I have a digital camera and love the way the pictures come out with the Kodak printer as well, they are instantly dry so when I am printing a lot out for friends and family I don't get smears and stickies. I usually print 3 or 4 copies of each picture to send to family when I print......
