I bought this for my husband for his birthday. He had been wanting a good immersion blender. I found the set with the chopper and whisk so I got it. I love the chopper. It is so handy. I have used it more than the other attachments, although they all work well. The immersion blender is handy for soups, puddings, etc. The chopper will tackle nuts, broccoli, turkey, onions, etc. Anything I have put in there, it has chopped. I haven't been disappointed at all.
...

LovingDahlias says "A must-have for the kitchen." about KitchenAid Hand Blender

We owned a Kitchenaid counter top blender/mixer for a few years when I can upon the Kitchenaid hand blender at an amazing sale price. My husband is always making big breakfasts for us on the weekend and to take out the counter top mixer to make french toast batter, mix the perfect blend for scrambled eggs, waffle mix, etc was just too much effort. With counter space that we need to make the most of, this was a perfect companion to the larger mixer. After the first year, the motor went on it but since it was still under warranty, Kitchenaid sent us a new one that continues to work great. If you are buying one, buy it brand new just in case something happens to it, so you will have the warranty to replace it. It could have been a fluke that it stopped working but just to be on the safe side.... I'm still not sure why the first one stopped working. It crushes ice and has made great smoothies as well. Frozen berries and ice cubes are no obstacle for this hand-held blender. ...
...

The Kitchen-Aid Immersion Blender is a great tool. Whether turning hot apples into applesauce, lumpy pan drippings into gravy, packaged pudding into ... well ... pudding! this is the indispensable kitchen item. Don't bother buying a cheap version ... you'll end up replacing it sooner than necessary, you wont' get the power needed to really whip cream, or the extras that makes kitchen life easier....

Jaxpeach says "KitchenAid quality; handy, simple to use, indispensable!" about KitchenAid Hand Blender

I've had a lot of different kinds of kitchen appliances and gadgets over the years, and I have to say this little hand blender is probably one of my most favored, and well-used, of all of them. I have come to appreciate and expect KitchenAid's quality, and this hand blender has not been a disappointment. It is well-constructed and intuitive, and I especially like the snap-apart feature for ease of cleaning. The whole blender-end unit comes off for quick cleaning, and I believe there are other optional snap on tools available, although I don't have those. My blender has 9 speeds, so it is very versatile for a number of different foods. It's a snap to grab out of the drawer to whip up a frittata or mix a quick drink, but there are so many other times when it is much easier to use than dragging out the mixer or the regular blender. I'd give up those items before I would give up this little hand-held. I like to keep my kitchen simple and not overloaded with useless gadgets......
