There had been sveral months where money was very tight. We tried the Kirkland brand formula and it was basicly 2 for the price of 1 similac. Our son didn't take to it as well as the similac, but it worked in a pinch. Also caused him to spit up a bit more than usual, but it didn't seem to bother him. Also when mixing it was a bit clumpier than Similac and maybe that's why the spitup happened, it just wouldnt disolve!
...

After my son was born, I started out using Similac and all the other brand name formulas that I received for free. Afterwards, I switched to the Target brand first, since that was a big savings over store-brands. But then we switched over to Kirkland Signature Infant Formula with Iron when I realized I could buy 2 cans for less than the price of one name-brand formula can. What a savings! Since all formulas are FDA-regulated, I knew the Kirkland Signature Infant Formula with Iron was a safe alternative to Similac. My son never had any problems on this formula. I had heard that it could make some babies more constipated, but that was never an issue for him. I honestly didn't see any differences in him on the Kirkland Signature Infant Formula with Iron brand versus the other name-brand formula. He wasn't fussy or constipated. I highly recommend using Kirkland Signature Infant Formula with Iron to save money.
...

Had my son on Neosure for his first 5 months and couldn't take the cost anymore. Thought I'd try Kirklands formula and was pleased with it. I do not have a fussy eater and he took to it well. The first couple weeks of the switch he didn't poop as often, but wasn't constipated either. I also don't have a foaming issue because I make a big pitcher of it at a time and stir it, not shake. I cannot complain at all about this product.
...

All baby and infant formula brands that are sold in the United States must meet the minimum nutritional requirements of the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act (the 'Infant Formula Act') and FDA regulations. Kirkland brand is a blend of properties from Similac and Enfamil. If your baby takes to it, you're in luck, because it is half the price of Similac and Enfamil. If you need a name brand, then waste your money on the others.

My husband and I are suddenly faced with raising our grandson who is now almost 9mos old. I was worried he wouldn't like the change as he had a sensitive tummy in the beginning and while we were helping to care for him from the time he was born we've had to try several different formulas. He has been eating this for 3 months and after the first few bottles loved it! He's not experienced the tummy problems of before and his constipation vanished!

It does foam up more than the Similac we tried, but it doesn't stink as much as Similac. If the foam bothers you, simply...
...

My experience with Kirkland's Infant Formula from Costco:

When my daughter was first born, I was a name-brand mom. I bought the expensive diapers, toys, wipes and formula. I had this thought in my head that if it cost more, it must be better than the store brand. After all, the more you pay the pore you get. Well this is just not true. I was at Costco one day and saw that you could get 2 large (1 lb 9.7 oz) cans of powder infant formula for about $15 LESS than what I was paying for the name brand one. I decided I would give it a try, and I am so glad I did. Kirkland's brand is very much the same as the name-brand formula. They have a side by side comparison chart to show it has all the same vitamins and minerals then the name-brand. It mixes just as well as the other name-brand, my daughter never even noticed the change. Kirkland's brand is smooth, and wholesome looking. I recomend this formula to all my new-mom friends for their little ones. It is a great time, especially in this ecconomy,...
...

I love this formula! I used it for my first daughter and I'm using it again for my second. I started off buying the expensive name brand formula with my first baby but quickly switched to Kirkland brand when I saw the price deference. I was nervous at first to switch but my daughter had no problems with it at all. Her doctor never had a problem with it either. I'm a stay at home mom so I'm always looking for ways to save. You get TWO 1lb 9.7oz cans for just under 20 bucks! Can't beat that, not even at Wal Mart or Target!
...

When I had my son last February the nurses at the hospital provided me with a two week supply of Enfamil Lipil (which I loved) but the price tag attached to that baby formula was much more than what we could afford. After we were done with all the free samples of Enfamil and Similac Advanced (too clumpy) my husband and I decided to go on a hunt for something more affordable.

While at Costco I saw that they had their own brand of formula (Kirkland Signature Infant Formula with Iron) so I bought it and took it to the Pediatrician. He looked it over and gave me the green light to try it. I'm so happy I did. Its 2 cans of 25.7 ounces for 19.99 at our local Costco vs $24.50 for 1 can of the same size of Enfamil Lipil. The baby loves it...it is pretty easy to mix and it has very little clumps.

I have recommended it to my friends and the ones that have tried it have loved it to. It has been great on my baby's digestive system and super smooth on our wallets!
...

I switched from the name brand formulas to the Kirkland Signature Infant Formula with Iron found at Costco for my just turned one-year-old. The price was obviously one of the main reasons for making the switch. I can get two cans of formula for the price of one. Infant formulas are regulated by the government, so you can rest assured that the ingredients in the Kirkland Signature brand from Costco are the same ingredients that are in the name brand formulas. I found that my baby had no idea that it was a different formula. When making bottles, it shakes up nicely and there are no chunks of powder left in the bottle when he is finished. We have been using it off and on since he was born. The only drawback is that it is hard to find the scoop in the powder when you first open the can. I have found myself shaking the can to find it and then spilling some of it on the floor. I would definitely recommend this formula to a friend.
...

My Daughter was 2 months early so in the beginning we had to go with a very expensive formula for preemies..but once she was able to switch to a regular formula we started on the Kirklands brand. I was very worried how she would do with the switch and the new formula but she did great! I consulted the pediatrican and even brought in the can with me and he stated "It was almost exactly the same as Similac and Enfamil and in some areas better". Once we started on the Kirklands brand she began gaining more weight and has continue to grow and develop great. She went from not even on the chart to the normal percents very quickly. All this not to mention the Kirlands brand is less than half the other brands. We have a friend who works at Cotsco and he said it is made by the same people who make the named brands. I wouldn't understand why anyone wouldn't want to pay less for the same thing. If this formula bothers your child then I'm sure that all the other powder formula would as well...so you......

Kirkland Signature Formula has been great for our daughter. It is slightly more clumpy in the powder form, but it mixes perfectly.

We switched from Similac Advance after 1 month of bottle feeding, and noticed a significant change in stools. The Similac was much softer and seedy, whereas the Cosco's Kirkland formula was uniform and much harder. This was accompanied by strain and crying during bowel movements. All of these are signs of constipation, requiring adding water to the diet, which is not normal for a 1 month old. This change was 100% correlated to the formula, and we even switched back after a month of using Costco's Kirkland formula to Similac when we ran out, and the very next stool was back to normal. If you search online, you'll find several other people who experienced this same problem. We solved this originally by giving 1oz of water to our daughter throughout the day. However, I tried switching 1/3 of the Kirkland forumula for Similac and this seems to have corrected the problem as well, and is still much cheaper than switching to Similac alltogether. Another difference between the two......
