We have to accept the fact that electricity is expensive. And it is not only expensive for you but also for mother earth as her resources is being used to produce the electricity. With a central air conditioning system you actually end up wating more energy than you use. Espeially for small families where only one or two rooms are occupied at a time to have the entire house air -conditioned is an unnecessary waste of energy.

With mini split air conditioners you can actually save a lot of the energy and the same time you can enjoy effects of air condition. With split air conditioners you can air condition the room you want to while other rooms maintian normal temperature. The split air conditioners also come with in buit thermostat. So it knows when to switch off and when to switch on again. apart from the saving on power you can also save on the installtion cost. I own several Kenmore window air conditioners,and they have worked for seven years without incident. I know a lot of people that also own some Kenmore window aair conditioners. Kenmore window air conditioners and other Kenmore products. Kenmore air conditioner for outside are salso great.

We purchased the Kenmore Window Air Conditioner approximately 9 years ago. It has worked perfectly ever since. We bought this when there was a really long heat spell in our area and were lucky enough to find a dealer that wasn't sold out. I called all of my friends and family to let them know that there was a dealer that still had some air conditioners available. They also, have been very satisfied with their Kenmore Window Air Conditioners. And, needless to say, they have all had theirs around 9 years also. The price was very good and there were also a variety of sizes and models to choose from. It has not made my electric bill go up high at all. It is energy efficient. The air filteration system is easy to clean and put right back in. A quick brush of the vacuum is all it needs. It also runs quite quietly. It does not disturb my sleep at all. I'm not able to have central air conditioning in my home, so having it in my bedroom is quite refreshing when I go to...

We have had a window air conditioner installed for a while now and it has always been loud. The one in our bedroom has to be turned off so we can sleep.
The one in the livingroom of the same make does the same. I do no think Kenmore is capable of making a quiet machine. They do cool well so we just have to put up with the noise.

U P D A T E !

OUR POWER BILL WILL BE GIMUNGOUS!

Picture us in late August and early September! My husband and I hide inside the house with the windows closed. Our Kenmore 580 etc. Room Air Conditioner does a great job of filtering air from the incredibly far-ranging smoke of Southern California's ravaging Station Fire. The outdoor temps are in the 100s. We run the Kenmore 24-hours a day as recommended because of the smoke.

Oh, oh! Suddenly, our indoor temps are frigid. Could it be?

Yes. Our relatively new 580, etc. (just past its warranty) now gives us all or everything -- the coldest temperature it can crank out. The Energy Saver has died, and the Mode is full-freeze or nothing.

Once in awhile, a service contract (usually just a wallet-drainer) makes me wistfully wish I believed in service contracts. At least the machine gets us through the smokiest days of the fire. Now... about repairs...

I have this air conditioner and i couldn't be happier with it. I live in a 16 x 80 mobile home and this air conditioner can cool the house down in about a half hour. I never had such a good air conditioner.

Bought a Kenmore window unit to use at night in the master bedroom so that we could turn off the main energy hog unit. Utility bill went down by a measurable amount and the window unit will pay for itself in just a coupla months. Will add another window unit to another room as soon as I have time to. When you compare the number of watts and amperage the smaller window units consume compared to the big units that cool the entire household, it's pretty easy to see how the savings can add up. Been doing this in the winter too, with a small plug in heater in the bedrooms where needed at bedtime and shut the main unit off, or if it's gonna freeze that night, just set the main unit at a lower temp. Major savings realized by not heating/air conditioning rooms that aren't in use....

Love this Kenmore Window A/C! This unit was very easy to install and worth every cent paid for it. It works wonderfully, cooling my room and helping me through the hot summer nights. However it is a little noisy, but not bothersome. All in all I love my Kenmore A/C!

for years we got air conditioners from Sears - and Kenmore brand is what we found to be the best for the money. And we are using them a lot - Chicago is unbearable in summer without one....

The airconditioner is an excellent source for nice and cool air. It keeps my gas and electric bill down even when i keep it on during the night. i love using it and its a great item to buy when you have no local airconditioning in your home. I would recommend everyone to buy this type of airconditioner for the hot and hazy weather in the summer time....

The Kenmore Window Air Conditioner is pretty good airconditioner. We have a one-bedroom apartment and it doesn't cool all of it. This was disappointing. We had to buy a second one for the other room. But it does cool the room where we installed it. It wasn't too expensive. I think it's an average value for the price. The fan on it isn't very strong so we have an oscillating fan right in front of it to blow the air across the room. I think this is an average air conditioner.

I have both a Kennmore air conditioner and a Haier unit . Even though from apperance they look like they are built by the same manufacture The Kenmore model is quiet and all around better unit.It is well worth the extra dollars. I also have found these units work more efficient to cool the room if you also have a ceiling fan or by placing a fan in front of the air conditioner....
