Now it's the Sears owned Kenmore Oasis from August 2008. Another piece of junk recommended from a Sears salesman.

We're expreiencing the same issues as other reviewers: F51 code and extreme violent shaking durning the spin cylce (yes, the machine is leveled). Here's the best part...our machine is too "new" to receive the recall board. We have to pay for parts and labor that others received for free.

It gets even better...I wanted to speak with someone regarding this issue. After bouncing from three different Sears departments, I was finally pointed in the right direction. The answer: I get to MAIL a letter Customer Solutions department; no phone call, no email, just a good old fashion letter to: Sears Customer Solutions, 3333 Beverly Rd. Hoffman Estates, IL 60179

I wanted a different brand & model but hubby wanted to go with something cheaper, we got what we paid for even with the high price. I had this washer/dryer set for a year & half. It doesn't use enough water to clean especially if you're washing bigger items such as comforters. I would wash my 2 sons full size comforters (not both together - just one alone) & it would come out nasty dirty, black spots all over it. Looked dirtier than before I put it in. The clothes would be a tangled mess & I'd have to unravel everything before putting it in the dryer. I have never seen a washer tear up clothes before but we had a lot of clothing ruined because this washer ripped them up, who has extra money to constantly be buying new clothes?! I had some problems with getting messages on it but sometimes it would just keep going with it on or I'd go push it off & it would go from there. Hubby kept telling me I wasn't going to get a new set because this one was still pretty new that I'd just have to...

Kenmore Elite Oasis is really a garbage can. Before the year, my Oasis that a bought on Sears quit working, the digital panel burnt out. Good for my pocket still was under the year warranty, so the panel was replaced by a Sears technician. Then, before the year again the new panel died. I contracted an independent technician who replaced the panel again, and after 7 month is not working properly, only one function is working.

Now my washer keeps inside things that I do not use, for trash or recycling.

THE KENMORE OASIS HE IS A PIECE OF JUNK. THE FIRST ONE WAS RETURNED BECAUSE IT WAS DAMAGED IN SHIPPING, THE SECOND ONE WAS REPAIRED DUE TO SOMETHING IN THE MOTOR. WHILE BEING REPAIRED, THE SERVICE GUY PUT A BIG DENT IN THE FRONT, SEARS THEN BROUGHT OUT OUR THIRD ONE. NOW, THIS ONE IS A PIECE OF JUNK TOO, FOR THE SAME REASON, CLOTHES KEEP DISAPEARRING UNDER THE BOWL OF THE WASHER NEVER TO BE SEEN AGAIN UNLESS YOU GET A HANGER TO GET IT OUT.

I bought a Kenmore Oasis Washer and Dryer system in November 2006. I have had to replace the control panels twice on both machines. I have basically rebuilt both machines from the ground up. The communication between 1-800-4-myhome and the local service reps is horrific. They will bring the repair item and install. If it does not work it wil take you two more weeks to get them back. They do not return phone calls and you have no way of getting in touch to file a complaint. Go buy a $400 dryer and $400 washer from Home Depot. You will be much better off and will not pay every year to repair the macines. DO NOT BUY KENMORE OASIS ELITE WASHER AND DRYERS~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GARBAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My old Kenmore washer finally bit the dust after 17 years of faithful service so I decided to buy another Kenmore. I went to Sears and compared the different washers they had to sell and even bought one but was not satisfied with it. Since I hadn't owned the washer for over a couple of months, Sears gave me a full refund for the washer. I then decided to purchase the Kenmore Elite Oasis washer, and am glad that I did. It has proven to be the washer for my needs. I wanted an extra large capacity washer and one that I could still have control over my water temperature. This washer gave me both. It is also energy efficient so it should save me money in the long run. I would recommend this washer to anyone who has a lot of clothes to wash. It also has a Quite Pak on it and it is less noisy than my old washer. The model number is #110.28032701 and the Type is a 581. I hope it last as many years as my old one if not longer.

For the money spent and value received, this is the worst purchase I have ever made. The washer, at totally random times, flashes error codes on the display, beeps and beeps until the power cord is pulled, and best of all, IT WILL TURN ITSELF ON IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT, THEN START BEEPING, FLASHING ERROR CODES, AND SLOSHING WATER AROUND! The first time this happened I was sitting close to it in my office late at night and it scared the %#$@ out of me. Now it's happened so many times I just have to laugh! I've had the warranty board replacement done and it fixed NOTHING! Now the dryer is also becoming flaky. Sometimes it won't recognize when the buttons are pressed, and is also starting to flash error codes occasionally and randomly. I'm totally disgusted with these products and I'm shocked that Sears won't do the right thing for it's customers. Check the Internet, lots of people are having these problems. Seriously, DO NOT CONSIDER...

Kenmore Elite Oasis Washing Machine:

Do not buy this product. An F-1 Error Code appeared after 15 months of ownership. Now if comes on 4-6 times a wash. I have read other
posts with the same problem. I had a Sears Tech come out and they wanted $ 385.00 to fix it. I declined. After paying $ 69.00 for the Service Call the Tech told me they are getting a great deal of calls for the same problem.

I believe Sears knows and has decided not to address the problem.

We purchased the Kenmore Elite Oasis machine brand-new, in 2006 from Sears. We have had nothing but problems with it since day 1, and getting Sears/Kenmore to make good on the repairs has been difficult at best. The machine easily gets unbalanced, and Sears/Kenmore has been to our home repeatedly to fix it. By the way, this is not a case of user error, we have had half loads of laundry get unbalanced. Kenmore was recently here to repair it last week, saying we need a water pump. They replaced it, and the very next load, the machine did not work again! They are coming back again next week (great scheduling by Kenmore. They make you wait a week for an appointment, then tell you your "window" is from 8 A.M. to 5 P.M.! Not very customer friendly, especially for a house hold with 2 small children in the middle of summer. So, in less than 3 years, Sears/Kenmore will have fixed THE SAME problem 5 times. They actually sent us a letter 3 months ago admitting that the machine...

I moved from an apartment into a home with a Kenmore Elite Oasis HE washer. A really long and fancy name for a big hunk of crap! The crappy little washers in the laundry mat at my apartment were leaps and bounds better than this thing. The washer literally stinks and so do my clothes. I press every button I can to try to get my clothes clean. For example: Heavy Duty Wash, Heavily Soiled, warm/warm, stain treat, prewash, and autosoak, extra rinse----and my clothes still are not clean when they come out! We are talking about close to an 80 minute wash time here!

I'm embarrassed to have guests stay over at my house because my towels smell disgusting and my sheets smell far from fresh. Did I mention the foul odor the washer emits when in use? Oh, and that ours is already leaking from the bottom.

Be prepared if you wash clothes in hot water. The lid gets so covered in evaporated water, that it will leak all down the front of the washer.

I feel embarrassed when doing...

I have had this Kenmore Oasis HE for approximately 6 months. It does a wonderful job cleaning and really saves alot of water. The clothes spin so dry that drying time is cut to a minimum.

In April 2006,I purchased both Elite Oasis washer and dryer.Paid over $2,000 for the pair,it was the most I have ever paid for a washer and dryer.Have had problems from the very start.Clothes do not come clean,even on whitest white cycle the whites do not come white.Problems with the spin cycle,and washer sounds like a 747 jet landing.Dryer is coming on by itself and flashing and beeping.After reading other reviews I find their are other customers with the same type of problems.I could have purchased 2 regular washers and 2 dryers.There should be more than a 1 year warranty on these washer and dryers.There are only 2 adults and I have not used the washer and dryer many times for it to fail after only 3 years.I am totally dissatisfied and will never purchase another Kenmore Elite.

We purchased a Kenmore Elite Oasis washer and dryer about one year ago. The washer apparently retains water, which in about one day produces a disgusting odor. After about three months we complained to Sears and they replaced it without question. The new washer has the same problem -- an odor that is unbearable.

The dryer seems to run forever, and does not dry thoroughly.

This set was expensive and not worth the money.
