I wanted ice cubes that look like clear glass. To get them: 1. Plugged it in Ice not clear. 2. Added a water softner, Ice not clear. 3. Added a reverse Osmosis unit. Voila! Perfection. PS RO unit alone Not clear. Works great, makes lots of ICE that looks great and tastes great. Put some cubes in a glass and let them melt for the worlds purest water. I had other units before, none compare!
...

AngelaWLaFon says "Kenmore Undercounter Ice Maker: Never run out of ice again." about Kenmore Undercounter Ice Maker Refrigerator

Kenmore Elite Coldspot Undercounter Ice Maker

On a visit to my future would be in-laws home years ago, I found that they had an undercounter ice maker and I thought it was such a convenient idea that I put it on my list of things I wanted in my dream home. I got it and I am very glad to I did.

The Kenmore Elite Coldspot Undercounter Ice Maker, resembles on the outside, and takes up about as much space as, an undercounter trash compacter. Ours has a stainless steel front panel but there are other options as well.

The Kenmore Ice Maker takes the guess work out with a green light for "clean," yellow light for "OK," and red light for "needs cleaning." It is easy to clean. Simply push the clean button and the ice maker will empty. Wipe out the inside and pour the ice maker cleaning solution through the tray as instructed.

Why I love having the Kenmore Elite Coldspot Undercounter Ice Maker:

-It makes small, square ice cubes perfect for glasses or throwing in the blender for making...
...

zoemartin02 says "Sears Kenmore side-by-side fridge with icemaker is terrible!" about Kenmore Undercounter Ice Maker Refrigerator

We purchased a "top of the line" Sear's Kenmore refridgerator with water and ice through the door a few years ago. The ice maker has been replaced four times so far. This means purchasing a completely new unit and paying to have it installed. The ice making unit that is being replaced is still under warranty since it goes out at least twice a year, but we have to pay for the service call and labor to have it installed. This always adds up to about $150 dollars! I would never recommend a Sear's Kenmore refridgerator and will never buy another!...

In May 2008 I purchased a stainless steel Kenmore undercounter icemaker for a new construction 2nd home. I had the appliance delivered in the box to my current home and drove it to the home under construction. I specifically asked that it be delivered in the original box to avoid scratching the stainless steel. It was delivered as promised in a timely manner in the original box which had not been opened nor was it damaged in any way. It was installed towards the middle to end of June 2008.

Long story short, the icemaker has yet to work. My builder informed me that unlike the other appliances (Whirlpool purchased from Lowes) which all work perfectly fine, this one came without any installation instructions or warranty information.

Of all the appliances I purchased, this icemaker was the only one that I went ahead and bought the extended warranty. I contacted 1-800-4MY-HOME and herein starts my hell with your service department. As mentioned, this is a 2nd home two hours from...
...
