The toast and wave microwave is a great idea but poorly made. Ours was repaired twice in two years due to malfunctioning heating component. After the third malfunction we have trashed the microwave and bought a basic GE microwave. I do not recommend this microwave unless you like buying a new microwave every year.

Works great. The rounded walls add extra space and ensure better heating. Toaster works great for bread or bagels....

When we purchased this unit, we were skeptical of all microwaves due to poor heating/cooking performance...well this Toast N Wave unit dispelled our fears...it is a great and reliable performer and we could not have asked for a better value! Thanks!...

Intro
It was really a weird decision process that led me to this Kenmore Toast/Wave. With the redesign of our kitchen, the designer at Home Depot came up with a very unique plan. I was looking to create a pantry out of an existing closet by opening it up on a different side. Through a variety of things, she came up with a design of putting a cabinet on the bottom and another on the top, and building an alcove for a microwave in the middle. While reconstructing the room, the carpenter took down the size of the old closet to gain some much-needed space that had been left unused in the design and made it more linear. I knew my old white Sharp microwave wouldn't fit cosmetically, so I searched for a black microwave that would fit in the new alcove. For the measurements, and to use the space the best, I came up with the Kenmore Toast/Wave and loved the thought of it, so I had to buy it.
