Cookie999 says "This Kenmore refrigerator is one of the best buys we have made." about Kenmore Elite Refrigerator

Several months ago, we replaced the very energy inefficient refrigerator that came with our home with our new energy efficient Sears Kenmore Elite refrigerator. In addition to the rebates offered for switching to an energy efficient appliance, we got a great deal on this refrigerator from a local distributor and we couldn't be happier with our purchase. The stainless steel look is aesthetically pleasing and matches well with the other appliances in our kitchen. The slide out drawers are very convenient as are the pull-out bottom freezer, the cold cuts/cheese pull-out drawer and the two pull-out temperature controlled fruit and vegetable bins. The refrigerator door has a lot of room for condiments, drinks and other miscellaneous items. We have limited space in our kitchen for a refrigerator, and, while the Kenmore Elite offers many of the features we wanted, it miracuously fits into our kitchen just perfectly (primarily because of the pull-out freezer drawer). Naturally, almost any product...
...

ajc1958 says "Kenmore Elite french door refrigerator. Ongoing design problem" about Kenmore Elite Refrigerator

Be careful how you stack your refrigerator and freezer or you will end up with defrosting freezer food, It's a difficult chore due to the lack of organizers in the tiny little freezer.

There's an ongoing bad design issue with the water dispensing bottle inside the bottom left of the refrigerator door. The bottles keep splitting where they mold a division between the upper and lower halves of the bottle, I'm on my 3rd bottle in 3 years.

Not overly fond of the manual ice dispenser where everyone dips their hands in to grab some ice. Chilled water is another area very lacking in this model. You only get about a pint of chilled water in one hit because it is chilled in the bottle inside the door rather than running through refrigerated pipework as it is dispensed.

I love my Kenmore Elite Refrigerator. It is a 26 cu.ft. side-by-side, with a brushed stainless steel front, black handles and trim and a black metal casing. It is very attractive in my kitchen which has all Kenmore appliances, also brushed stainless fronts.

One thing I especially like is the size of the freezer compartment. It is particularly large because the icecube-maker is located in the door so that it doesn't take up rack storage space. I have been able to store anything from a 22-lb turkey to a large pizza from Sam's Club (bigger than most in the box) in the freezer without any difficulty. I have 4 boys so I shop at the discount stores and require lots of freezer space and this baby has it.

Because I am a bit of a neat freak, I have to have a refrigerator that I can keep clean...not only looking clean but smelling clean. I have owned this one for over 2 years and it still smells like new and clean it is a breeze. Even my 18 year old son can clean it and do a good job! ......

We got very helpful service from the salesman on deciding which refridgerator to buy. Our only complaint is when we started to purchase, the delivery date was Tues. Nov. 18, I was very happy that I could get the fridge so soon, when some questions arose and the clerk had to cancel the transaction before it was completed and started over, then the delivery date was changed to Dec. 9! What is wrong with the warehouse inventory computer, that such a thing would happen! I feel that this could be changed and it should be changed!...

The Kenmore stainless steel, top freezer fridge is a great deal for the money. It has been very consistant as far as cooling and the freezer does its job to a tee. I only paid about $600 for it on sale at Sears. I have been very happy with it and would recomend it to anyone....

eacariker says "The Kenmore Elite Trio is a very innovative refrigerator for us." about Kenmore Elite Refrigerator

It took us almost 2 hours to review the various features and benefits of the many refrigerators offered for sale to us in the Sears Collin Creek store. We finally decided on the Kenmore Elite Trio (78764). The primary reasons that this one was our choice were that it is a "french door" model that was available in Bisque (Almond for us old folks) and has the ice maker in the door of the top section (very uncommon in french door units). It also has LED lighting (VERY efficient and no heat), flexible shelving and efficient use of space. We are replacing a Whirlpool side-by-side that we bought new in 1979 when we moved into our (last, hopefully) home; this old dog was extremely reliable and a good friend for all these 29½ years. It had a special door on the back of the refrigerator door that would allow you to get to the shelves without opening the main door, a VERY handy feature that is no longer available in anything we considered. The Kenmore Trio seems to be made by LG (Korea),......

I am a very careful shopper and take good care of my purchases. This refrigerator has gotten very light use. It is under 2 years old and has already started dumping water regularly on the inside of the refrigerator in large quantities. The repairmen has been out 3 times and has been unable to repair it and I have been charged $300.00. The refrigerator sound like a freight train. A one year warranty. Its a lousy product from Sears. While it styling is terrific. The quality does not match. Looks isn't everything....

I love this refrigerator. With double door accessibility, everything is within easy reach. Shelves are adjustable and drawers are roomy and well planned. The freezer section has an upper basket so that items are easily divided for access. The only disadvantage is that the left-hand door, which has an extra safety lip, doesn't always close all the way by itself. However, there is a warning beep which tells you if a door is not sealed, a feature I find very reassuring.
...

NikiTaylor says "Good Morning, Kenmore!" about Kenmore Elite Refrigerator

The headline is my own twist on the movie Hairspray's song, "Good Morning, Baltimore". You can probably tell I have been listening to the soundtrack too much. I love long-lasting appliances, and this refrigerator is no exception. It was my grandmother's, and it has been here for awhile. I estimate it is close to twenty years old, and it still runs perfectly. It is the freezer on top of the refrigerator combination, and it doesn't have any extras like an icemaker. Inside are two levels one on top of the other and compartments inside the door.

There is enough room for food and drink for three people. I think the refrigerator is white, but it is hard to tell because there are so many magnets there from my mother's trips. You can not only get things out of the refrigerator. You can also read the family vacation history. It is aggravating when the magnets fall off while opening the door, but that is the price of knowing history. My father does just kick the magnets under the refrigerator sometimes....
...
