Regarding the Kenmore Elite refrigerator model number 596-76593600.

The Sears rep came over the house a few times with out any solution, even the Maytag rep came and didnt even know what to do.

They replaced the icemaker and the computer control module twice, they determined that food placed at the back of the refrigerator will freeze due to a design defect and he also determined that another design defect exists because the temperture sensor is right next to the 40 watt iinterior light bulb.

Just the fridge I wanted, I love the french doors and the bottom freezer. The shelves can be moved around and one slides. Both doors have an abundance of space for varying sized items. Great appliance.

Hi, my name is Deb and I live in Virginia. I have severe back problems so finding a refrigerator to help me with this problem we chose a 25 cubic feet, Kenmore Elite, French Door, Bottom Freezer, Stainless Steel Refrigerator.

The best way to describe my experience with this refrigerator is to say it is fantastic. The French Doors provide enough room to enter party trays, birthday cakes, etc. It has storage on the inside of the doors that will handle a gallon of milk, or tea. There are three shelves attached to the inside of the doors so the refrigerator gives you even more storage space.

The product also has a vegetable drawer and a meat drawer that will allow you to set the temperature to whatever product you want. The greatest part of this item besides the french doors is the external dispenser of ice and water. You can choose regular size ice, or crushed ice, and you get ice water. All of these features make this fridge one of the most enjoyable kitchen products we have...

Freezer does not hold temp, every thing in freezer covered with frost, door freezes and will not open, have to manually thaw out. Not energy star compliant as advertised....

We have had our Kenmore w/ French doors for about 3 years now. My only complaint was that we had it for like 2 months and started hearing something like the fan running real loud in the freezer. Then one day it was doing it real loud and stopped and i opened up the fridge and there was an error code. So I researched the code and it is an LG motor code that alot of people had problems with. So I called sears service and they couldnt come out for like 3 weeks so i would have had no fridge for 3 weeks. So i got someone else and they pulled a huge ice chunk out of it that the ice maker was shooting water into the motor and it froze the fan. So i just cant use the ice maker, which i wanted the one without ice and it was a house warming gift from my grandmother so she insisted, but other than that i am pretty pleased with it overall....

My old refrigerator was 21 years old. I never had a single problem with it. It's works good but I wanted a newer one. But the reviews I've read scared me. But I went ahead and took the plunge and bought the Kenmore Elite French door with bottom freezer and water and ice machine on the door. So far....I love it!! It's been a few months now and it works great. It keeps the food fresh and cold. It's been making ice the way it should. And I just love the crushed ice in each drink. The freezer is roomier then I expected and it keeps things cold. I got mine in black and it doesn't show fingerprints. The LED lighting makes it look so sharp on the inside and outside. I love the deli tray. You immediatly know where to go for the coldcuts/cheeses etc. The other day and had to put a sheetcake in there for my dad's birthday and it fit with no problem. Kenmore Elite French Door Refrigerator with Bottom Freezer. Horrible horrible. Had it one day and everything in vegetable bins was frozen and water was all over the inside of the refrigerator. Awful. But what's worse is the horrible customer service. And, staying on the phone trying to get help took hours. I was lost in the system and now they don't even have a record of my refrigerator being picked up. They don't have any paperwork for you to sign when they do pick it up. I did have the driver sign a paper that I wrote out and that's all I have. I have $2,821.10 floating around Sears that I would surely like to have refunded to me. This is NOT a fun experience....

When it was time to buy a new refrigerator we thought we found a great deal on a fridge we liked at an establishment other than Sears. So we bought it. And it ended up costing us a lot more than necessary because that establishment's customer service was severely lacking in just about everything, competence, friendliness, timeliness. We eventually returned it and immediately went to Sears to get a new fridge comparable to the one we had just returned. I can not say enough great things about our experience with Sears. The customer service was nothing but stellar when it came to installing and delivering our new fridge. We have not needed them for anything since.

We enjoy the filtered water being seperate from the ice maker (in the bottom freezer) because this allows us to fill pots/pitchers/dog bowls with water with no problem. There is no ice maker inside the door taking up valuable fridge space. We love the french doors because we are fairly tall individuals and don't have to bend to...

We purchased a Kenmore Elite refrigerator on 11/06. After a few months the icemaker stopped working. Repairman replaced the thermostat, and again a few months later, it stopped working this time the icemaker was replace. This past June 2008 it stopped working again and another icemaker was replaced. As of this date it is still working and we hope that it is fixed for good but who knows, we feel we may have gotten a lemon as far as the icemaker is concerned. And we have had to purchased a warrenty just in case it goes out. We have no complaints about the refrigerator it self. In fact i really like it, I like the fact it has an alarm so when someone forgets to close the doors all the way it sounds off. I also like the three doors, you can just open 1 door and get what you want....

Purchased my Kenmore Elite French Door Refrigerator with Bottom Freezer app. 3wks ago. After owning it 2 weeks I opened the freezer to find everything was covered in ice like the old refigerators that need defrosting and all my ice froze together. Later that day the temperature started rising in the freezer. I called customer service and after going through several recordings I talked with a gentlemen I could barely understand who told me I COULD NOT BE FOUND IN THE SYSTEM. We have had to call the repair person 3 times already and we haven't even had the refrigerator for a year yet. The drawers and interior structure are made of cheap, brittle plastic. The slider wheels have broken. The frame has broken. It's been a pain.

Love my new fridge. I have the stainless version, with no icemaker in door. Wanted to save the room for storage in the fridge area. Only drawback of this, is that you have to keep stooping down to get ice every time, and yes, if you're not careful, the ice slips out of your hand, through the freezer bottom and down to the ground. The drawers have wide gratings. They should have made them closer together, in cross pattern, so things don't slip through so easily. Other things slip down into the bottom of the freezer as well.

Otherwise, it works well, and cleans up pretty easily. Holds a lot of food. we put a whole pizza box inthere, medium sized - and it fits with room to spare on the side for other things.

There's also a drawer on the bottom of the fridge section that slides out (convenient) for easy loading of sodas and juices and whatever else, witth a partition that allows you to put other things on the other side, so I use it to store cheeses and deli meat. nothing wider than...
