As a busy, working mother, I am always looking for a deal on clothing, shoes, food, etc. Our family has a glutten and dairy intolerance, so...this makes a deal even MORE important. Our diet is extrememly expensive, so if I can purchase items in bulk...it helps us save money. This freezer allows us me to purchase different food items such as: gluten free waffles, different types of seafood, meats, poultry, vegetables, and foods I've made and frozen. I like to make much more than we need and freeze the rest. This helps when I'm too busy to cook. I can just look in my upstairs refridgerator/freezer, pull out what I want to reheat and pop it in the microwave. Since I can keep all the meats, poultry, and vegetables downstairs, this leaves all the room I need for my entrees. I also like the fact that the freezer is frost free. I don't have to worry about defrosting it. I remember the dryers in the past would cake up with lots of ice that you would have to defrost with a hand...

Kenmore Elite Energy Star Chest Freezer

I enjoy cooking and eating at home the majority of the time. I live 30 minutes from a grocery store so in order to routinely crank out homemade meals, I have to be organized and I have to a lot of food in the freezer.

What is close by to our house are farms that offer organic, grass feed beef, chicken and turkey. When we make a "farm run", we stock up on meats for about six months at a time. We also use the freezer to store homegrown vegetables like okra, tomatoes and peppers. When the weeding, watering and harvesting is all done, it's time for vegetable soup and chilli and what seemed like overkill in the summer is a welcome blessing from the freezer. (Unfortunately I have yet to freeze any homegrown corn but the deer assure me that my corn is quite tasty but should be eaten on the spot and not frozen for later.)

In addition to meats and vegetables, we use our freezer for freezing zuchini breads, peach ice cream- all those treats that it...

Very pleased with the new Kenmore Chest Freezer. We had purchased a whole hog and have a calf that we are raising to butchering weight, We also garden and do a bunch of freezing. Purchased from Sears as we are very pleased with all our previous purchases from Sears....

Our Kenmore 15 ft chest freezer is over 8 years old and never given any problems. The freezer has never been repaired and is still running like a top. We are very pleased with this purchase and would purchase another one if this ever wears out....

We have a Kenmore Elite chest freezer that we purchased 16 months ago. After the indicator showed the temperature increasing over a weekend, I called the Sears service center on Monday, they said the soonest they could have someone out would be on the following Friday. That doesn't work very well with a freezer full of food. I called a local repairman and they were out the next day. They discovered the freezer is leaking coolant and it will probably not last too much longer. They re-charged it to buy me some time. What burns me the most is that we bought this freezer to replace one that we bought at an auction and was close to 35 years old. A 1-year warranty on a freezer is worthless and is a testament to the quality of appliances that are being manufactured today. The next freezer I buy will not be from Sears but from a local company that takes care of me in a timely manner....

My husband and I purchased the Kenmore Elite 24.9 cubic ft. chest freezer in Nov. of 2008. It's nice and big! We have 7 kids and needed a new chest freezer. What I really like are the dividers. They really help keep things organized. I've had a large chest freezer before and they are certainly more challenging to keep oraganized than an upright. We found the alarm to be a bit wimpy but that was certainly not an important feature that we were looking at. Overall we are very pleased with the freezer so far; having it for only a couple of months. I hope this is helpful! Oops! I forgot to mention the lift out baskets. There are 3 and they are great too....

This freezer is the balm... I love it, we all love it in my family... Lets the kitchen freezer be able to hold more needed and conveinient items on a daily basis, while the big deep freezer holds all the upcoming needs. Also, excellent for now only having to go to grocery store every 2 to 3 weeks or even a month and no more week to week since we had no room before......

Well my freezer is my best friend you might say.if you hunt deer hunter you gotta have one .You can count on to work so I depend on kenmore my moms is 45 years old an going strong to bad it was so big i couldnt get it thru the door .we always used it for freezing our vegtables, if we didn't can them dad hunted so we always had some kind of meat in the freezer so we always bought a depenable an reliable freeze or appliance an it was kenmore my brother bought my familys house an that old kenmore is still going i wouldn't trade it for any other. so if you want a tusted appliance a kenmore you can't go wrong.
