kassy68 says "Turns off before clothes are dry, Takes forever to dry" about Kenmore 700

Hi. I've had this dryer for almost 3 yrs now with nothing but disappointment. I used to have a gas he3t dryer.. LOVED IT , still have the washer.. We moved and didn't have gas hook up so we went and bought the biggest dryer we could to match load sizes with my front load washer.

The first couple months It was great.. 45 minutes and dry

After that, I've had them out to look at it 6 times for NOT drying.. My dryer turns off before the clothes are dry and in a time frame of 60minutes to where they should be dry..

Repairman have said the vents good, sensors and everything else is good.. even replaced the control mod.. GUESS what.. it still doesnt dry. We have replaced the heating element and tonight a new belt as the last one broke.. Seriously < My old Maytag was still drying great after 12 years.. just wanted to update..

Long story short.. I've had two off the record repairman say this dryers are known to be terrible and a disappointment... I would NOT recommend...
...

I recently separated and had a front loading dryer - didn't think I would like having this Kenmore 700- turns out, for the money I paid - I like it much more than the front load dryer I had. It has a large capacity - I can put a king size comforter in it with no problem. Clothes do not shrink in it if use the auto feature....

kodimilo97 says "worst set i have ever had" about Kenmore 700

Extremely disappointed in the Kenmore 700 series washer and dryer(electric). Previously had an Amana set, wish I still had. The dryer with a light load takes at least 2 cycles before it is dry, usually 3. The washer "walks" across the floor, scares my dogs to death. Called Sears they came out to look at the washer and I was told that is normal and if it bothered me too much they make a rubber mat to put under the washer to help with vibration - $75 for the mat!! Would most definately not recommend...

My Kenmore (first time gas buyer) is phenomenal. I love it. I haven't had it long enough for the "newness" to wear off. I will review it again in three months....

rstinnett says "Clothes come out wrinkle free!" about Kenmore 700

We bought this Kenmore 700 dryer to match our Kenmore 700 washer. We've been delighted with our purchase. After dealing with an old dryer that took forever to dry even the smallest loads, it was a welcome change to have our clothes come out perfect in next to no time at all!

The Kenmore 700 has a great Wrinkle Guard feature that continues to periodically cycle the clothes for up to 90 minutes past end of cycle. So if you are busy with the kids or preparing dinner you don't have to make a mad dash to the dryer to get the clothes out the minute the buzzer sounds.

Another feature that we love is the light inside the dryer! I can't tell you how much easier this makes it to find that "lost sock" or other garment that tries to hide in there. It's a small thing, but man it sure does come in handy.

Overall, we are loving our new washer and dryer set. We highly recommend this dryer (and the matching washer) for any household that wants to have their clothes come out ready to wear without...
...
