cmohr80 says "Kashi TLC Soft-Baked Bars are 110 calories of tasty goodness!" about Kashi - TLC variety

I received my Kashi TLC Soft-Baked Snack Barfrom Vocalpoints in the mail a few days before Thanksgiving.

The Kashi TLC Soft-Baked Snack Bar, also known as a Cereal Bar, is made with real fruit, has 7 whole grains and 3g of fiber. It comes in three flavors; Baked Apple Spice, Blackberry Graham and Ripe Strawberry. 25 of the 110 calorie snack comes from fat; 0 trans and 0 saturated, so what's left over are the good fats (mono and poly saturated). 0mg of cholesterol, 125mg of sodium, 9g of sugars, 2g of protein. This product contains wheat and soy ingredients. A box of 6 retails for around $2.50.

I'm usually hesitant to try health bars because the majority of them that I have tried taste like tree bark. I'm also not the first to sample Kashi products because I find their cereals to be a bit bland and woodsy tasting. However, I am a health conscious mom, who's always looking for healthy alternative snacks for her child. So, when the Kashi TLC Soft-Baked Snack Bar in Blackberry...
...

lastlydreaming says "Kashi TLC variety = dry, grainy cereal bars " about Kashi - TLC variety

Kashi came out with a new cereal bar, available in strawberry, apple and blackberry. I purchased and ate their strawberry version of a fruit bar. Blah, this was dry, and extremely grainy, the flavor was so lacking - my own tongue begged me to eat a spoon of sugar (which I did not do.) The flavour was definitely not an artificial strawberry, but not a sweet, ripe one either. It's as if someone picked strawberries, and assume that because it was organic, a consumer would actually be duped to thinking it tasted good. It's about 3.5" in size, with 6 sealed bars in a box, and can retail anywhere from $2.50 (on sale) to $4.00. Definitely stick to Kellog's or some other name brand fruit bar - this seems like they are more concerned with organic ingredients than about the actual taste - which is important, especially for those of you who give it to kids. It leaves your mouth dry, wanting you to drink something!...
