I recently bought several boxes of Kashi GoLean waffles(assorted flavors). Normally we are an Eggo family, but in an effort to have a more healthier choice opted to give these a go. The first time out we tried the Kashi GoLean Blueberry waffles. Popped them intot the toaster adn sat back waiting in anticipation. They smelled delicious but they taste was not.

Initially, I was having a hard time cutting them. I understand I am not the strongest person the world but I think these would have been better suited as frisbees or paper weights even. The taste of them was almost non-descript and virtually like eating cardboard. At the hope of making them passable I slayed them in syrup, but that did nothing but make it worse.

We have also given the Kashi GoLean Strawberry Flax ones a go with the same end results. I ended up giving away all the boxes I bought. Overall, I think the idea is great, but these need to go back to the testing phase for the taste factor.

P.S.

Waffles are a delicious form of breakfast (or any other meal for that matter) but they are usually so rich that sometimes you end up feeling overly-sated and sleepy for a while afterward. Now the famous Kashi Company has come up with a waffle we can feel good about eating ... Kashi GoLean Waffles. These fresh warm breakfast goodies come in several flavors of which I chose Blueberry. They pack the great nutritional punch found in Kashi cereals and deliver this in a product which fortifies and satisfies you for hours without putting your feet to sleep. A six pack of these waffles is a bit expensive -- $3.99 -- but there is a great coupon out there online for $1.50 off.

INGREDIENTS:

Kashi GoLean Blueberry Waffles contain (among other things): water, unbleached/unenriched wheat flour, whole wheat flour, wild blueberries, soy protein isolate, evaporated cane juice (no high fructose corn syrup or hydrogenated oils), red wheat bran, oat fiber, expeller pressed canola oil, chicory...
...

I received A free coupon to try Kashi Golean waffles in the mail. I was surprised to find that they were actually good tasting. I tried the blueberry waffles and I expected them to taste like cardboard but they were very delicious. They had plenty of blueberries in them to satify my taste. They are quick and easy to fix and are healthy for you. They contain 6g fiber, 3g low fat, and 8g protein. They kept me feeling full all morning. I did not have to snack in between meals. I highly recommend Kashi waffles to everyone. Kashi waffles comes in Strawberry, too. Kashi waffles will keep your digestive tract healthy, too. If you are watching your weight or need more fiber in your diet, try Kashi. They are priced right also. I personally am going to purchase the strawberry waffles next. They taste great with or without syrup. I ate them right out of the toaster. Go get some today. You will not regret it.
...

Kashi "go lean" waffles

Kashi has done it again! waffles full of flavor that's good for you. a while back I recieved a rather weird booklet that contained six coupons, one was for a free box of kashi waffles while the others were a dollar and fifty cents off any kashi go lean waffles. I kept the free coupon and gave the rest to who ever was interested in trying kashi waffles. I ended up purchasing the waffles at the local walmart supercenter and gave one of the coupons to the cashier. I noticed on the package it said that "white tea" was added to the waffles to help keep my heart healthy. like all other kashi products the go lean waffles are made with natural ingrendents and doesn't skip on the flavor. it's like eggo except it's a natural ingrendents (YUMMY)

if only the company would make larger boxes. now you only get 6 per box, how about 12 or even 24? also kashi should make a syrup line (whos with me?)
...

I must say I am a fan of Kashi, but I was a little concerned that the flavor may be lacking since they branched out into frozen products. I was PLEASANTLY surprised that the flavor was not sacrificed. These have to be some of the best if not the best frozen waffels I have ever tasted. They crisp up nicely without getting to tough, they are excellent with or without syurp. And hey they are good for you to boot! Kashi is a industry leader in bringing healthy and tasty foods to a broader market. I credit them for a huge jump in healthy eating, even though it's the trend to be more green and healthy these days. Kashi is at the forefront of that movement for sure, at least at a consumer purchasing level
...

stef42678 says "Healthy Breakfast Waffles" about Kashi GOLEAN Waffles

I challenged myself to start eating breakfast everyday, but I also want to eat healthy. I love the taste of waffles, but not the fat, so Kashi has come up with a great solution with these GOLEAN waffles. Each of the waffles is great tasting and not high in calories. The waffles are so easy to make because they are frozen, so you just pop them in the oven or toaster for a few minutes and then you can have a healthy breakfast with whole grain and great flavor. The waffles come in both blueberry and original. You don't need to pile on the syrup because each waffle has so much flavor that it is great on its own. Kashi GOLean waffles have 8g of protein and they're high fiber to keep you full. The original waffles are made with a hint of sweet vanilla. I love the blueberry waffles which are high in sweet flavor and made with plump, juicy blueberries. Each serving of two waffles is 170 calories and only 3 grams of fat. They are the great way to eat healthy and enjoy the yummy......
