LaurieM says "Lincoln Logs are even more fun than they were when I was a kid!" about K'NEX Lincoln Logs

I have two sons ages seven and eleven. They have loved building blocks of all shapes and sizes since they were babies. To this day, my seven-year-old still builds with his Lincoln Logs. My eleven year old tries to act as if he is too old for them but I catch him from time to time playing with them too. Anything that keeps them off the video game consoles makes me a happy mom!

About Lincoln Logs

Lincoln Logs have been a family classic since 1916. There are so many different variations of Lincoln Log sets out there that it's hard to choose which set to buy. Most sets come with stained wood logs, plastic roofs, other accessories, and play figures. Prices range anywhere from $4.99 for a mini set all the way up to $200 for large or commemorative sets.

My Experience

Our Lincoln Log experience started out with a mini set that came with just a few logs and a couple of accessories. It was perfect when the boys were younger but as they got older, they wanted larger sets to expand their building...
...

nyacking says "Can't beat Lincoln Logs for creativity and imagination." about K'NEX Lincoln Logs

Most toys preclude imagination nowadays. Old fashioned Lincoln Logs allow children to create whatever it is they are interested in - cars, houses, villages, weapons, tools, animals - you name it. My niece played with Lincoln Logs for hours at a time, as did I when I was young....

Lincoln Logs are still a classic. I bought them for my six year old son. He plays with them often, and uses his imagination to build and create. This is something that is not even possible with many "new" creations. I love this toy!...

My toddler loves to play with his Lincoln Logs almost as much as I do!! He loves to create a ranch to put his farm animals on or to create different types of houses. Even though they are an "old timey, basic" toy without the bells and whistles of electronic sounds, etc., I think Lincoln Logs are a great toy that encourages creative and imaginative play. The quality of the wood and the plastic parts is great. I also really like the fact that they include several "up-close" pictures of different items with the kit; this gives us a better idea of how to build the different things. There are also several different kits so you can create a whole town!! Really like this toy!!
...
