KLM not honest company. Clerks and supervisers have no ideas about company rules. They try to charge you for everything - out of rules, don't suggest you any help. That's all about Chicago O'Hare Airport location. I e-mailed to the company, didn't get any (axcept automatic) answer....

I have been travelling the world for 25 years and have experienced many airlines some sadly are no longer around but my favorite one of all is KLM. The staff are always happy and friendly unlike some US carriers I could name. I have never had a flight delay or cancellation with them (except for when there was a hurricane) and have travelled with them at least 10 times. The choice of food in Coach and Premium Economy is always good and the entertainment choice offers something for everyone. Leg room is fine in Coach but if you are tall I recommend paying that little extra to get the extra leg space in Premium Economy or better still travel in their Upper Class cabin. Electronic check in is available at most airports with KLM which saves time. They offer a great mileage system and the miles do not expire. If you have not got enough miles for the journey you want they also offer part miles payment and part cash which I have used on a few occasions. My first choice everytime...

I have only flown KLM airlines once. I didn't realize that the agent checking me in only checked my bag to airport where my first layover was instead of my final destination. When I got to that airport I tried to use the self service kiosk to get the boarding passes for the remaining flights, but it said I didn't have a checked bag. I spent about 45 minutes waiting in line to speak to a KLM agent. They wheren't able to do anything so they sent me to wait in another line (another 20 minutes). In the end they did track down my bag and it made it on my flight, but I spent most of my layover waiting in lines. On a better note, the seats were decently comfortable and the in flight service was fine.

I flew with them twice and I would say that I didn't like it at all: everything is so uncomfortable, sits, tvs, headphones they give...The food they give is terrible, I was starving 17 hours but I wouldn't eat it. It was very cold and the blankets or whatever you call them were so small and thin. They lost my luggage, made mistake in my tickets, so I missed my flight...In other words, I wouldn't recomend it to anyone....

KLM put me on an earlier flight (without informing me) but when I checked with NWA it showed I was still on the later flight. However, my luggage was checked on the earlier flight. I talked to three different agents on two different days just to be told I would have to wait at the gate (which was the only "seat" the agent could give me at the time). I was told to go right away (which was 3 hours before departure) to make sure i got a seat, but nobody showed up until 10 minutes after we were supposed to begin boarding. The agent that finally came to help me was rude and disrespectful. All in all it was a horrible 9 hour flight plus all the time I wasted trying to figure out what flight I was really on. ...

I fly KLM to go to Europe from Lima. They have a direct flight to Amsterdam. I have flow with them 3 times (Economy Class) and I have had a very good experience. Their check in is very quick both in Lima and in Schiphol Airport. Their in flight service is also very good. They served me with two meals, two snacks, peanuts, and drinks. You can get wine or alcohol and it's all included in the ticket price. The entertainment is one of the best. They have a wide choice of movies, tv shows, news, and games on their own personal seat screens.
The only minus to KLM is that they only allow 20 KG of baggage. Most other airlines let you take two 20 KG packages totalling 40 KG. They charge about 30 Euros per kilo, so be careful that you do not go overweight by much, they don't care if you go over 2 to 3 kilos however. Fly with KLM and I am sure you will be very pleased.

I would recommend KLM airlines to anyone and everyone. I used to live in the UK and when I would travel if this airlline was available I always flew with them. The food was always good. Not that crappy airline food, but really good, real food. I got ice cream even one time. Also the frequent flyer program for this airline is very good. I am able to fly for free sometimes ( not including tax).....

I have taken this flight on several occasions from Amsterdam to Brussels and vise versa. It seems this route does not have a true departure time which means on more that one occasion, I have missed my connecting flight. And your luggage rarely makes it to its final destination with you. It takes forever for the agents in baggage claim to inform you that your bag did not make the flight and will be arriving on the next flight which is usually the next day....

I've had the unhappy experience of trying to move my mile balance with NWA WorldPerks to KLM Flying Blue. This was a required process after I moved from the United States to Europe. In a nut-shell, my miles were transferred out from WorldPerks, but never arrived into the Flying Blue account. All my efforts to contact Flying Blue led to no result, none of my letters were ever answered. This is a hell of a way to treat a platinum customer. It has been a month now since I "transferred" miles to my KLM account, and there is no end in sight to this saga....

I first started flying with KLM when they were still know as just Northwest Arlines. One of my flights got canceled because of bad weather and the next day I flew out to my next destination and there was a 5 hour delay because of bad weather. Northwest Gave every passenger a little booklet with a $5 voucher for food, a 5 minute phone card, and $50 dollars off of their next fight. I was so Impressed with their actions, and is was to no fault of theirs, is was just a really bad snow storm. I had also noticed something on my ticket that didn't look right so I went up to the counter. I asked the lady if there had been a mistake with my ticket because it looked like a low number on the ticket like First Class, She replied no mistake, this is for you inconcience from yesterday and today, Enjoy your flight in First Class, My jaw Dropped as I thanked her....

I flew KLM for the first time in February 07, after years as a US Air customer. The service is exceptional, the cabins comfortable, and the flight enjoyable. My flight was around 9 hours, but didn't seem nearly that long. There was plenty of in-flight entertainment, great food, and courteous staff. As soon as I arrived at my destination, I signed up for the KLM mileage program. I look forward to future flights with them.

PS. The business class is worth every penny...
