He was the first to pull off a performance-driven song on American Idol with <em>A Little Less Conversation</em>, leading the way for performers such as Taylor Hicks, and after his time on Idol, he was the first to release an album independently. He'll soon be out with his second album, and though it will still be an indie, it's being released with much more fanfare.<br/><br/>We'll have to wait a few months before we get to hear all of the new album, as it will be released June 3rd, but until then, we have the title track off the album, <em>Break the Silence</em>, to sample. <br/><br/>While Jon's first album, <em>Stories From Hollywood</em> was just that, a collection of songs that reflected on Jon's first few years post Idol, this upcoming album he finds much more relationship-based and less "I'm alone and life sucks." While it didn't set out to have a theme, he realizes the name certainly makes it seem like it does.......
