If you know me at all, you'll know that I'm a hand washing fool! I wash my hands probably 50 times OR MORE a day. Because of this, whenever I wear a band-aid, I don't get to keep it on for long. And I go through LOTS of them because I have to keep re-applying them.

So, seeing that Band-Aid had a waterproof bandage, I was willing to pay the price of a little under $ 3.00 for 20 bandages. If they stayed on, I reasoned, I'd actually save money.

Well, let's just say I wont be buying them again. It's not that the band-aid actually came off, because it didn't. It did, however, curl up and kind of pucker around the edges. This made wearing the band-aid uncomfortable, so I ended up removing it and reapplying a new one anyway. And when I tried to not apply a new one, and just "tough it out" the part of the band-aid that had curled up, attracted other material. I actually had lint from my sweater stuck to the band-aid. Not attractive!

I like the fact that the bandages are clear. ...
...

My youngest son recently had minor surgery to have a mole removed from his arm. He received several stitches and we were told that he could shower but only with a waterproof bandage. The Dermatologist recommended Johnson & Johnson Band-Aid Clear Water Block Plus Bandages. We stopped at the drugstore store and picked up a box of 30 for around $3.99.

About Band-Aid Water Block Bandages

These transparent band-aids provide 100% waterproof protection, are flexible, hypoallergenic and have a non-stick pad. They are available in a box of all one size bandages that measure 1in. x 2 1/2 in. or in a box that contains 20 - 1 x 2-1/2 inch and 10 - 3/4 x 2 inch bandages.

My Experience

The next night my son was about to take a shower so I grabbed the box of waterproof band-aid's and began to peel the paper off of each side of the bandage like I do with the regular ones. The paper came off easily but within about a second, the bandage was all stuck together. One down, twenty-nine to go. I unpeeled a second...
...
