AnnaBanana says "What would my teeth and I do without this?" about Johnson & Johnson Reach Gentle Gum Care with Fluoride

With hindsight comes wisdom, and now I realize that I should have been flossing my teeth all along. Even after I "cottoned on" and started faithful daily flossing 15 years ago, it took a while to find a floss that really worked for me. I didn't care for that waxed stuff but certain kinds of unwaxed woven floss were difficult to use because my teeth are set very closely together with very little space in between to easily negotiate floss.

It may be that other people are having this problem also and for them I must recommend the one which has worked so beautifully for me -- Johnson & Johnson Reach Gentle Gum Care with Fluoride. This is a wonderful product -- durable, doesn't fray easily, but is thin and soft enough to get the job done without pulling too strenuously on tooth enamel or delicate dental work. The floss is also embued with a delightful mint taste which I find very refreshing. When this product goes on sale, I have a tendency to "stock up" because I have come to depend...
...

I have been using the gentle care floss for years becuase it really gets inbetween tight teeth with out breaking. The uniquie twist design of the threads are slightly fuzzy and get all the bits of food and spice other types of floss will miss. This is the only floss I use now in spite of the not so great taste. The added mint helps with the taste, so its not so bad and you get used to it. I love the plastic lided box with the thread cutter, it makes it so easy to use and I carry it with me in my purse. I keep a lot of these on hand so that I always have some and never run out. i am very loyal to this product and don't ever want to use anything else....

How long do you spend in front of the dental floss trying to decide which one to buy? For me it’s too long. I never remember what I like.

In the case of Johnson & Johnson Reach Gentle Gum Care with Fluoride this was my second time buying it. I clearly didn’t remember the first time.

This plastic container holds 50-yards of mint flavor woven floss. What this means is that rather than having one strand there are two. One is white and one is blue. The piece I just used that is in front of me has many more than two. Why? Because it comes apart. In spite of being told it is “extra shred resistant” it isn’t.

I’ve had a problem with the packaging. This is the second container that has broken. The plastic part that holds the piece of metal to cut off the floss comes loose. This means I have to cut the floss with a scissors.

What I do like about this floss is that it slides easily. I have many teeth that are quite close together so that’s a consideration when I buy...
...
