2008 was a very stressful year for my aunt. Her hair got so thin that she told my cousin to "shave it all off." after which, she started wearing coverings and wigs.

Someone introduced her to Root Awakenings last December and she started using it as a daily shampoo and conditioner.

Yesterday, we were at my cousin's home for Thanksgiving dinner. I hadn't seen my aunt in a while and the last time I did she was wearing a wig so I didn't really give the thick, silky, black hair on her head a second thought until my wife said "You grew your hair back using what?"

At that point, all the adults were focused on my aunt's hair. We all ran our fingers through it. It was so soft and smooth. She told us that she had been using "Root Awakening" that she bought at WalMart and that she also colors her hair. (She's 60+ years old and likes her hair black.)

When I got home, I called my mom (who has dealt with thin hair for years) and told her about it.

I am a busy mom and normally do not stray away from what I usually use just because I don't have the time to redo it if I don't like it. My hair is very baby fine and gets damaged very easily. So I tried John Frieda's root awakening strength restoring shampoo . conditioner and leave in conditioner treatmentand I was blown away. It made my hair healthier and amazing. It did exactly what it said it would do. The smell was amazing and my hair looked healthier from the first use. I have been using it for about 6 months now and it still works on my hair. That is saying a lot because my hair is very fine but damaged so it is hard to find that balance of conditioner without weighing down my hair. It is a little more expensive that what I usually use but it is worth the extra cash so make my hair look this good. I will definitely continue to use these products and would recommend them to family and friends.

I absolutely LOVE John Frieda Root Awakening products! I've been using the root awakening shampoo & conditioner for dry hair for about 8 weeks. I have blonde, thin hair that breaks easily. I have noticed a huge difference in the softness and feel of my hair. I feel like my hair is stronger and healthier. It is worth the price above all others!

I heard this is suppose to help wake up yur roots.

I need alittle wake up call.

My daughter had me use Root Awaking Shampoo and Conditioner and WOW the smell and the tingling that I felt when using it. My hair feels good, smells good and shines. I highly recommened it. So if you haven't tried it yet Do so. It's worth it

I tried this John Freida Root Awakening shampoo and conditioner, and right away, I loved it! The smell is nice, not overpowering. It has a eucalyptus scent, but not like the cough drop, if you know what I mean. It's very nice and soothing. The conditioner works great also. I have hard water, and I'm always complaining about conditioners that don't really work that great. Well, this one works great. It makes my hair shiny, soft, smooth and silky. The product claims to help restore the roots, but I haven't really noticed that. I just know that my hair feels nice when I use this. It's also good for color treated hair, which is a big plus for me.

I also tried the detangler, and I like that as well. It really does detangle your hair, and it has heat protectant in it so your hair won't get fried when you're styling it. It's a great product, and I would definitely recommend it. It also is very economically priced.

I tried the John Frieda Root Awakenings Strength Restoring shampoo and conditioner, and was very pleased with the result. My hair was left smelling good, but not overly scented, and was very manageable.

I recently got the detangling spray as a free sample, along with the shampoo and conditioner. I absolutely love this... my hair is curly and tends to dry very quickly. Since I wear it curly most of the time, the morning after is usually ouch filled, as I try to untangle the curls. The detangling spray has worked wonders... I spray on my roots and a few gentle brushes and voila the tangles are gone. And, it smells great - pepperminty and fresh. I spray this, brush and then style as usual - a great find indeed.

I just now bought John Frieda's Root Awakening System and I must admit I was truely skeptical about these products, but i had some extra money on hand and I've heard some good things about John Frieda's Root Awakening System so I thought "Why not?"

This is my very first time useing the system and i must say I am blown away by the results, The smell is amazing and the results are as promised! I give it a 5/5.

I tried this Shampoo as a sample and went out and bought it.My hair is so dry and it feels young again.I used it once, and had to buy this after one use.My son said the same .I also bought the conditioner .The type is Root Awakeing and is good for the dry ends.I hope to enjoy my hair again.

When my box of goodies arrived I told my mother, who is from MN and staying with me for a few weeks, and my husband the "deal" with Bzz.

I discussed the below with my husband and mother and both of them are going to be trying what I have in my shower and will report back to me.

I have naturally curly, greying hair that is dyed every 8-10 weeks. I have also recently started losing some hair at the crown. I consider my hair on the dryer side and I have yet to find the "holy grail" as far as hair care is concerned.

I showered and used both the shampoo and conditioner this morning. The smell of the shampoo was NOT what I was expecting. I was expecting an "in your face" scent because of the peppermint and eucalyptus (even though there is no eucalyptus oil in it). I was kind of disappointed that it didn't smell really strong. It's a pleasant smell but could be stronger. I put about a quarter sized drop in my hand and started shampooing my hair. It lathered beautifully! Nice and thick....

I was quite surprised by the new John Frieda "Root Awakening" shampoo & conditioner. It really does what it says... which is purify, stimulate, feed and nourish! I was sent two full bottles to try it for this word of mouth campaign and being a skeptic was just happy to have a free sample LOL but I actually notice a difference! (Their website can explain why better than I can.) For me, I've only used it once so far but I already noticed my hair is shinier and feels fluffier/lighter and smoother (like after going to the salon.) I liked the scent too... the Eucalyptus and Mint mingle in a very light and soft combination. I'm usually more of the Suave, Dove... maybe even what is on sale type of girl... but I'm thinking if after only one use, I like it this much, it might be worth its price! I would recommend giving it a shot with an open mind, even if you are like me and low maintenance.

I tried the new Root Awakening shampoo, conditioner and detangler products that were sent to me as part of a sampling kit. I'm super impressed! I am a shampoo snob, and currently am using products that are upwards of $100. Well, I may just make the switch. Not only did my hair turn out better after using these products, than it did when using my expensive salon-bought products, it helped clear up my scalp itch and irritation.

Any product that gives you all of this in one bottle is worth it's weight in gold! I'm hooked and will tell everyone I know to at least give these products a test drive by trying them once. It does tingle on the scalp, just like the label reads, due to the eucalyptus that is in it, but it also cures whatever is ailing your scalp.

Great product!
