chewieinchicago says "The balls of Jericho " about Jericho

The bigger story of how the town as a whole is handling this disaster seems to take something of a back seat to the much less interesting story of Jake and his busload of kids. Maybe further into the show, four or five episodes in would be the place for this. But right now, in the middle of 'Jericho's" debut, it might be a good time for something more spectacular if CBS wants viewers coming back. I mean, 'Lost' gave us a massive plane crash and a gigantic, invisible, tree-eating monster. All 'Jericho' can manage is a distant mushroom cloud, bad cell phone reception, and a guy in need of a tow truck.

Ultimately though, I think there's potential. Ulrich doesn't bring much to the table but Gerald McRaney is a calming, comfortable presence as the town's mayor. Other more minor characters leave enough of an impression too, enough to keep me coming back at least another week to see if they can keep the town from rioting. And of course there's all those pesky questions. Tonight we learned that...
...

mei1304 says "Great show, too bad got canceled" about Jericho

Jericho was one of the best shows, I have ever watched. When the series started I thought it was too explicit especially with the politics issues at the time, but as the show run I became a fan, since season 1 to the last one, just missed one episode, but caught up with the re-runs, CBS should not canceled the show, and then let the fans to saved it, but once saved they just agreed for one more season and leave the fans wanting more, now some of the actors are working in new tv shows or some other projects, I certainly hope the another network would jump up and buy the rights to continue with the story.

The story so far it kept me interested for a long time, there should be a way to at least write books about it if there's not other way to have it on the small screen, I recommended this series to the next generations, for them to understand what this generation went through, a hard time with the country involved in war!
...

SurviveThis says "Fantastic series for the whole family" about Jericho

Watching Jericho was like reading a fantastic mystery novel, suspense waiting around each commercial break! This series is a family friendly show with a very talented cast, Skeet Ulrich being the best (what a leading man...easy on the eyes!). With an intriguing plot and suprises every episode, I never missed an episode! It was a unique story line, one I have never seen before. Jericho had a devoted fan base that actually saved the show for a bit and more episodes were ordered because of the "save the show" campaign they launched. I highly recommend it!
...

I loved Jericho when it was on TV and was so upset when it was cancelled. Yes, I was one of those people that signed a petition to have it brought back....which it did. Then it fell victim to the writers strike and was cancelled again. I love the story line and characters. It made you evaluate what you do to survive if that ever happened
...

punkpig says "AHHHHHHH so frustrating!!" about Jericho

This has got to be one of the most amazing and frustrating TV series of all time. First the amazing. Never has a cancelled show been brought back due to viewer demand. Nuts! It was amazing to see a network actually listen to it's viewers and give them what they want. Usually the networks simply ignore the viewer and tells them what they want. However the frustrating part is the network KILLED IT!! Yes the writters strike did not help either but the network could have aired episodes much sooner than they did instead of waitinh untill intrest wained. Another frustrating factor.....the last words we ever hear in the script are "I think I just declaired war on Wyoming". That's it we were left hanging!! PLEASE some one pick this thing up!!! So warning if you buy the DVD's.....your gonna get frustrated....

Rennae says "Thought provoking show dropped before it's time." about Jericho

The tv program, Jericho, was one of the best programs to come along in a long time. It made you think about your values if everything you knew changed radically. The acting was good, the writing was awesome, family issues were portrayed realistically as well as the mystery and conspiracy parts that kept you on the edge of your seat. It's too bad CBS couldn't see beyond the Neilson's ratings and left a well produced and thought provoking program on for a while longer....

livinnazoo says "Jericho is, BY FAR, the best show I have ever seen!" about Jericho

The town of Jericho is quaint, friendly and (to take a line from a song) it's where "everybody knows your name"....I love it!

The residents of Jericho are faced with a big problem when nuclear bombs destroy much of the United States. Because of their location, they were far enough from the bombs for everyone to survive. What happens next is nothing less than amazing and something that no other TV show has ever delved into: What would happen if nuclear war started and you were a survivor left in a country with no power, no communication, no access to food or medical care?

"Rangers" (if you watch the second season, you will understand the nickname) are hardy, good hearted folks for the most part and, they know how to band together to get the right things done. The characters of Jericho are amazing, they put a new spin on reality, I have never seen characters portrayed with more soul and feeling. These actors put themselves into a fictional situation that no one in the US has had to...
...

Okjayhawkgirl says "Can I borrow your Tank" about Jericho

Jericho season 1 and season 2 DVD sets, OMG what a terrific series. Finally a television show that is innovative, thought provoking and progressive. Season 1 contains all 22 episodes along with a few extras and some deleted scenes. Season 2 contains all 7 episodes along with some extras, including a thank you from the cast to all the "nutty" fans that helped save show and the alternate ending finale. I am one of those "nutty" fans that campaigned to save the show after CBS cancelled it the first time, and are again campaigning for another network to pick the show up after CBS in their infinte wisdom canceled it AGAIN.

If you are not familiar with Jericho it is a serial drama, that takes place after 23 nuclear attacks happen in the United States. Jericho is fictional small town in Kansas, that has been spared from destruction. It is not a "Mad Max" type show, but one of survival in the face of disaster with the whole town pulling together. It has intrigue, suspense and great...
...

joisygirl04 says "a show with real thought, adventure, love, hope and fear." about Jericho

I'm usually uninterested in religiously tuning into the tube. Then came Jericho- one episode and I was hooked. The story follows a young man's return to his hometown on the same day 25 US cities are nuclear attacked by an unknown attacker. Jericho is a story with heart, and an amazing sense of reality. If this were to really happen, how would we resond? There is love, and hope, fear and pain; each character takes on roles you'd never believe they could and handle them well.
As our story continues we are slowly shown the extreme depth of these attacks and how truely close to home they hit. Jericho begins to rebuild, but not in a fashion they enjoy. The townspeople are interestly reminiscent of the early inhabitants of the United States as their question remains: revolt or reamin occupied?
Jericho has many lessons to teach, and many wonderful stories to tell. Tune in. You'll fall in love too.

Tuedays on cbs at 10:00 and also online at cbs's website where you can see all the episodes from......
