I love my 2002 Jeep Liberty Sport. Between my husband and I, we have owned 5 total. I am still on my first, and will probably own it for years to come. I have had absolutely no major problems as of yet and it is at 90,000 miles. My husband is a traveling salesman and also swears by his Jeeps. They get great gas mileage for a small SUV, gets you around in the wintertime with ease, and last forever. He puts a lot of miles on his every year with the amount of travelling he does, and when he buys a new one he always gets a lot for the trade in value. We will always be a 2 Jeep family.
...

Big enough to haul five in comfort, but small enough to get around in traffic. The 4WD means you can go nearly everywhere without getting stuck. Comfortable seats. Luggage/cargo room. Sturdy body. High enough that you can see over all the little vehicles out there and is much safer than they are. Easy to drive. Rear seats lay down so you have extra cargo room if you don't have anyone to sit there....

I purchased my Jeep Liberty brand new in February of 2002. This was my first SUV. We shopped around a lot. I wanted a smaller SUV due to price at the time. So many of the small SUV's were just that, small. My husband is 6'3" and he could not fit into many of them, his head would touch the roof. We gave up searching and then I started seeing the Liberty's every where. We went to look at them and I fell in love with it. My husband actually fit! The back seat is even quite roomy and comfortable. I drove it home that night! I have never had to have any repair done on it what-so-ever! Besides regular oil changes and tires, brakes, etc. that go with regular maintenance. I would definately purchase another Jeep vehicle again. I have two children and I am constantly driving them all over the place, besides my every day running. The Jeep has 80,000+ miles on it right now and I am simply amazed at how reliable it has been. I have never had a vehicle this long, ever. ......

I received my Jeep Liberty in college and thought it was a rockin' ride. It's shiny, small enough not to be obnoxious, and got pretty good gas mileage. My thoughts have recently changed. Considering that gas is now almost $4 a gallon, the Jeep stays put in the garage on most days since it only gets 13 mpg in town. That does increase a bit to 15-17 on the highway, but since I work in town, it's not helpful. Also, when you're purchasing your Jeep and they ask if you want an extended warranty, take it. It may have cost a bit up front, but it saved me from paying $3000 for a new transmission. It did not however save me from replacing another part that controls the AC. Apparently that's a common problem in the Liberty's. Overall, she's been a good car, but I wouldn't buy her again....

I have a 2002 Liberty Limited that I purcahsed new and love it. I've had very few problems and down time with it. It's a durable vehicle and takes the rough driving I sometimes do. I will probably upgrade to another Jeep Liberty Limited when the time comes....

I bought my Jeep Liberty new in 2002. I still have it in 2008, with it having over 130,000 miles on it. It has been thru two wrecks, and is still in great mechanical and cosmetic condition. It gets good gas mileage, and is very comfortable to ride in. The only thing that I have learned to watch, is that the tires do not get too worn. It has a tendency to slide easily, if the tires are pretty worn. But other than that, it has been a great vehicle, and I hope it keeps going for many miles to come....

I bought my Jeep in 2005 at an auction and got a great deal on the price. I like the way it drives and it gets pretty good gas mileage overall. The body looks sporty and it is fun to drive.

I don't like the interior room in the front. Nowhere to put my purse if I have a passenger. Not much room in the backseat for passengers either.

As far as cargo space, it is great. Can put the seats down in back and put just about anything in there. I've tried it!

Overall a good investment.
...

I love my Jeep Liberty. I live in the Midwest, and it gets around great in the snow in the Winter. I have a short commute to work everyday and it doesn't get all that great MPG on the short haul, but the highway MPG is pretty decent. I will drive it until it dies....
