This is a great machine! It is smooth as butter and easy to use. I love the fine stitching it provides. I hadn't heard of Janome, but now, I wouldn't buy anything else!
...

I am not one to spend lots of money on stuff I might not use every day, but I also don't buy just anything. I wanted a new sewing machine for my on again/off again quilting projects. I was thinking of saving up for a Bernina because I wanted to upgrade from just simple forward and reverse stitching.

I had used a Bernina in a local quilting shop and was pretty impressed by the abilities, but not by the $800 price tag. On a whim I drove 20 miles to the quilting store with the Janomes. It was 15 minutes before the place was going to close on a Saturday. The owner was super helpful and just explained to me what the Janome Heart Truth HT 2008 LE could do--EVERYTHING! It has twice as many stiches for half the price as the cheapest Bernina. I walked out, thought for a moment, and went back in and bought this machine. I didn't want to wait 2 years to get a machine that didn't do as much stuff.

Nice features that are better than on the Bernina: 1/4 inch foot that won't let you...
...

I used a Kenmore for about 3 years during my early beginning stages (and I still have it and use it). I wanted to upgrade to add stitches to my capability and boy did I get them! I decided on the Janome Heart Truth 2008 Limited Edition after much research and thought. I just love this machine. It gives a lot for the money. I had the hang of it before leaving the store, and I was not on a computerized machine before. Anyone can use this with ease. I like the threader, although I was told it is the most common item to break since it is a small-ish plastic piece. My old machine I had to step on the 'gas' and then help it start up with the hand wheel. Not this baby. It is so smooth. I can get triple the work done in the same amount of time I used to spend with my old machine.

<br>The only big negative right now is that I have to use the -/+ buttons to scroll through the stitches and it doesn't wrap around when you get to the end. For instance, if you get to the last stitch, use...
...
