Ifound out the hard way that dry food in any form is making our cats sick. Study up on how dry food is made no matter how "natural" there is nothing natural about it. This food contains so many things that a cat would never eat if we didn't give it to them. Cats are pure carnivores not omnivores like we are. They would never eat potatoes, apples, carrots, cranberries, alfalfa sprouts, tomatoes. When have you ever seen any of the cats in a zoo eating fruits and vegetables? I did not know any of this and my cat developed diabetes feeding a "high quality" dry food. Please do research on what a cat should eat.
...

wingnutkitty says "Evo is healthy for cats" about Innova EVO (for cats and dogs)

For years I feed my cats food that claimed to be healthy for them. My cats were pledged with skin problem's and health issues. This resulted in many expensive visits to the vet. The healthy food was full of grain causing my cats to gain weight. After trying many cat foods, even prescriptions food cat food with a high price tag I found EVO.

Evo is grain free. Once the cats are use to eating food with less sugar they eat less of it. Evo has lots of Omega fatty acids, chicken and turkey protein. My cats favorite flavors so switching to Evo was easy. The food meet the needs of my diabetic cat and illuminated the skin problem of the second. This has saved my cat from the traumatic effects of repeted visits to the vet, and for me the price of the visit.

You will not find Evo on the shelf of a pet store chain. It is easy to find with a quick computer search with your area code. You will find the nearest pet food store that supplies it. For me it is more than worth the extra effort and...
...

My cat has terrible allergies, including food allergies. It was very difficult to find foods he was able to eat without any problems. After feeding him this food for a few weeks, his allergies were significantly better. Unfortunately, it's not his favorite tasting food, but I certainly can't argue with the results! I would recommend this to anyone whose pet is suffering from allergies....

Innova Evo was recommended to me by my vet after my cat started having some urinary tract problems. She told me that some cats are very sensitive to the carbohydrates in most dry cat foods. My cat had been raised on dry food, so he wouldn't even eat anything else, but this cat food is low in carbs and my cat loved it. Best yet, no more litterbox problems!...

Ingredients in this food speak for itself!! Great food, no by-products!!!

Turkey

Turkey is the clean combination of flesh and skin with or without accompanying bone, derived from the parts or whole carcasses of turkey or a combination of thereof - exclusive of feathers, heads, feet, and entrails.

Turkey is an excellent source of highly digestible protein. Natura uses high-quality turkey in many of our formulations.

The turkey Natura uses is tested to be free of hormones, antibiotics and pesticides, as well as chemical preservatives such as BHA, BHT and ethoxyquin. This is an important distinction because manufacturers are not required to list substances that are present in the ingredients when they go into the pet food.
Chicken Meal
Chicken meal is the dry rendered (cooked down) product from a combination of clean flesh and skin with or without accompanying bone, derived from the parts of whole carcasses of chicken -- exclusive of feathers, heads, feet, or entrails.

Chicken meal is...
...

After a reccommendation from the owner of a local pet shop, I bought a bag of this food and my cats LOVE it. Since so much more of it gets digested, they don't eat as much, so even though it's expensive, I won't have to buy food as often.

I'm thinking about purchasing a bag of the dog formula for my boyfriend's dog. It makes me sad that he feeds him crappy food that you can get at any grocery store. The ingredients in it are just awful! Hopefully he'll like it!...

My cat was diagnosed with IBS 3 years ago. For 2 of those years, I fed her a prescription cat food recommended by my Vet, IVD Duck and Pea dry. She still threw up about once a week. Then a member in an IBS group suggested EVO for her because it was grain free and had a high protein content. My cat has done great, she has not been sick for over 1 month now since I switched her to the new food, and I am convinced it is because of the EVO. Plus, the EVO is actually less expensive that the prescription food!...

Innova is a great brand of pet food and EVO is their high end product. They use high quality ingreadients and no junky filler. EVO is high in protein and has no junk fillers which is great for cats espically who need a high protein diet as obligate carnoves. The drawbacks to Innova is that it is a bit pricey and can be harder to find. But it is worth it. Look for it at higher end pet stores. My cats really like the taste of this food and I feel that I am giving them a healthy diet....

I fed EVO to my two cats last year, then switched to all canned food for awhile, then added kibble to their diet again a few months ago (because they were missing it so much).

Over the past two years I have tried most or all of the high-end, grain-free kibble and EVO is definitely their favorite. They like it so much I have to limit how much I give them so that they don't gain weight from it (they are fat already).

I like Innova's manufacturing standards and commitment to quality. I talked to one of their reps in August and was very impressed with the company and its values. Yes, EVO is an expensive food but it is worth the price!
...

My cat, Annabel, loves Evo. With all the kitty junk food out there (not to mention the recent scare) I feel it's important to make sure she gets good nutrition. Pets can't go shopping for themselves, so it's the owner's responsibility to do the research and try to keep the pets healthy. My vet recommends Evo, as do other cat owners and rescuers I know. It's not carried everywhere. I buy it at An-Jan in San Jose, CA....

My veterinarian suggested that I try this brand of dry cat food. He is a big fan of home-cooked cat foods and this was one of the very few brands of store bought cat food he recommended. After using many vets in the past -- I trust him completely and I know he stands to make no profit out of his recommendations... it is a brand of cat food he trusts and recommends without reservation. My cat loves it and she is one of the most finicky cats who has ever owned me. I belong to many feline health yahoo groups and this is also one of the few brands of cat food recommended because it is grain-free and as close to natural as you can get. My cat's litter box does not smell and there is less "waste" -- which is a sign that the food has less filler and is well digested. I feel good about feeding DaisyMae this food and she loves it and would not switch to another brand. The only negative is that there is only one pet feed store in my area that carries it and they are sometimes out of......
