Ikea is a nice place to look for deals. The biggest issues with this store are finding the escalators down. Some of the stuff is out of place and hard to find Other than that this store is really good to get some bargain deals on household stuff,

The Ikea in Schaumburg is a great place to shop. Unlike the ikea in boilingbrook you can go to the section or department of the store you want to go to. In boilingbrook you have to follow the arrows through teh entire store. I also like that it is a very large store and you can get almost anything you need there, Make sure to check out the as is department. We got 20 glasses at 7 cents each because they were out of the box. who cares! and we also found the missing items to our disses set for one dollar it is also great to go day after new years to get great deals

I love Ikea, I really do. They have great prices on housewares, and furniture and linens. Love the kitchen section, cheap bath accessories. And the plants are awesome- very affordable large selection of unique and pretty plants.

However, the floor design sucks! It is like a maze in this store! Once you get in, you dont get out unless you walk through the entire store! Sometimes, I like to be able to go in grab want I want and just leave. You can't manage that here! It is also strange not being able to see the doors or windows.

I'm surprised Ikea (right now) has only a 3.5 rating. I'm bring it UP because Ikea is AMAZING.

Affordable, ultra-modern, stylish furniture in a fun-to-shop, family friendly store with a huge selection, from plants to children's toys to frames to fabric for curtains, pillows etc. As well as every type of furniture, of course.

Did I mention there's two awesome restaurant on the first and third floor? On the first is hot dogs, cinnamon rolls, coffee etc., on the thirt, lunch dishes, cake, etc. All affordable.

The second is set up so with example rooms. The college dorm, the playroom, the family living room, the teenage girl's room...it's awesome. If you've never been here, it's a must. Even if you don't plan on buying anything, it's the funnest window-shopping shop you'll ever visit.

Definitely give yourself plenty of time to take it all in. Once your there, not only do they have so many options of everything, but they help you visualize how and where to use it ,by setting up everyroom accordinating to te item or theme.
The fact that you can get quality trendy items at an affordable cost who doesnt want that!

We recently needed some storage bookshelves for a number of things. I was so happy with the product I found at Ikea and even more happy to get it home and put it to use! Not only is it versatile, but it was a fantastic price for something that we needed now. It was nice to find something that we can use now, for low cost, and good durability....

Ikea has a pretty good selection of stuff for any room in your home at very affordable prices. But be warned that you do get what you pay for. I'm a 21 year old whos just kind of starting out on my own so I think its a very suitable store for someone like myself, but for people who want better quality things that will last more than just a few years, then I do not advise you to shop here....

I went there on a weekend to get a coat rack and it was great shopping, however, it was REALLY REALLY crowded. I was able to find someone help me find the item I wanted, but then when it came to checking out, the lines were very very long....

I visited the Schaumburg Ikea, because I've heard so many people say how wonderful it was. Someone also mentioned tbat it was one of the largest in the US, so I HAD to go. I was very disappointed. First, yes it is large, but it also isn't organized. While most stores have a consistent flow, Ikea jumps all over the place with no discernable pattern that can help you find what you're looking for. There were times I felt completely lost. Of course, the messiness could have played a factor in that. Tablecloths were thrown everywhere. Blankets were in kitchen items. And there was no one around to maintain the store or assist customers.

With that said, I didn't have that problem at the Ikea in Bolingbrook. Everything was orderly, and people were there to assist if needed. I purchased a desk, utensils, and artwork. Besides the fact that assembly of the desk was time consuming, I was very happy overall. Definitely go to the Bolingbrook Ikea instead of Schaumburg.

The Ikea's in the Chicao area are not convienient to reach, especially when you do not own a car. However, I was determined to purchase specific furniture pieces after moving into a downtown condo. I was already familiar with all of the Billy bookcases as I had installed them in my previous home. Knowing it was going to be an ordeal to get to Schaumburg, get everything I needed, arrange for home delivery and then get myself home, I planned ahead and went in with the list of everything I intended to purchase. I still managed to spend 3 hours in the store and over $2k. Others complain about the customer service but I only experienced a problem with the returns department, where it seemed the two employees moved slower than humanly possible. I found great help from 2 guys in the self serve area who took my entire list (over 800 lbs of furniture), pulled all of the items and helped me get them to the checkout on two very full carts. Checkout also was pretty quick as it was a Thursday......

What can I say about IKEA other then I LOVE IT...

I was introduced to this store by my friend who lives in Chicago. I live in Green Bay, WI and was down for a visit. We decided to shop in Schaumburg and she stated there was this store I had to see... Before we entered, I gazed at this huge blue and gold building and thought WOW... then Amy said this " We need to decide how long we will shop before we go in... What time do you want to leave by?" I looked at her like she was crazy... WHAT? A time limit?... I thought she was nuts.

We went in and spent 5 hours and spent about $150.00/hour... I guess that is what she meant, I recalled as we stuffed my Mini Cooper to the rim with our prizes. It was quite an experiences!!!

First off there are 3 floors to prowl. 2 of the floors have the merchandise displayed as it would look in an home, apartment or dorm. It was awesome to see the unique storage ideas, colors and decor. That took me forever to view. Of course I had to sit or lay...

I love a bargain like the next guy, but Ikea tests my patience...

My husband and I went to Ikea last night to buy a cabinet, farm sink and counter top for our basement. We didnt want to spend a lot of money on custom built in's, so we thought we would just get a standard white cabinet from Ikea.

Our experience...

We were pleasantly surprised by how many options of cabinetry Ikea had. And, they didnt look terribly cheap (despite their inexpensive price tag). Each item was about $200. Definitely not bad given the $10k quote we got for the built in. This was a major plus for Ikea-- good selection and decent styles. (oh, and great price!)

Once we picked out what we wanted, things took a turn for the worse. We waited in line for nearly 1 hour to place our order. Then, another hour or so for our furniture to be ready to pick up. We also learned that the cabinets we wanted were in stock, but the door panels were not so we would need to wait 10 days for those. And, we could come back out to Ikea to...
