"I am Legend" came out on preview, I knew I was going to have to see it! Of course, they do try to pull you in with the previews! Successful!

Saw this at the theatre which was definitely a plus! Loved It! Could not wait for the video to come out so we could watch it again at home! Have probably watched it four or five times since we bought it!

I do love Will Smith as an actor, but I am a critic also!. However, Will does not disappoint! He played his character well! Especially when he went a little off and started talking to the mannequin in the video store like she was real, then getting upset with the other mannequin because he was in a different place! But, how would you feel being alone for a long time and thinking you are the only one left? I think we would all lose it a bit also.

The story line was excellent! Hated his family died, heartwrenching, but made the story! Hated his dog died, that was sad. Really hated that his character dies, but felt it was necessary.

Whether you call it a remake of Omega Man, or an adaption of Richard Matheson's novel, or a remake of Last Man on Earth, it's all the same thing. Talks of another 'I Am Legend' based movie were going on for a long time before it finally got made. Was it worth the wait? Well, unless you have to have massive set pieces, tons of crappy CGI and an actor who's a heck of a lot more recognizable to the kids then Vincent Price, personally, I'd just stick with Last Man on Earth. Just because kids today don't know who Vincent Price is, doesn't make him any less cool.

Not that I'm gonna bust Will Smith's chops too much. This was probably one of his better performances. He conveyed emotions and he was still pretty funny, but he managed to turn it into a questionable situation. Is he just being the usual funny man Will Smith or is he just completely nuts? The more the movie goes along, the clearer it is, that he's not just cracking wise remarks at mannequins cuz he's trying to make the audience giggle,...

I'll be honest, i really did like this movie. Great action scenes scary at times but pulled together brilliantly by Will Smith as the main character, A man who is trapped on New York Island looking for the cure to a horible Virus which has nearly wiped out the entire human race. His only companion is a loveable dog named Sam.

Most people will be loving this film that is to the last five mins, i wont detail what happens to ruin the plot but, the ending is a downer it finishes just when it looks like it was going to get much more interesting. Its as though the producers ran out of money and decided to cut the movie there and then.

Although this is a let down i thoroughly enjoyed this movie, and suggest that you should see it.

I Am legend is a fun action flick, up until the end. The ending seemed shallow and empty. After watching i knew there must be more to it. I found out that there was an alternate, far more interesting ending, which followed the book more closely. In this alternate ending, we find out that the alpha-vamp was looking for his mate which Will Smith had captured (the one with the butterfly tattoo), and alpha was seeking to free her. Immediately following was the horror as Will Smith looks at his wall of experimental subjects he's killed and discovers that he's the real "Legend", a mass murderer of the planet's dominant sentient species. I can't believe this ending got cut; i would bet that the movie could have been a bigger repeat draw (like say, the sixth sense) with this ending.

The movie works well on DVD because you can then watch the alternate ending right afterwards. It's a shame that there's no good way to completely ignore the lame ending.

Will Smith made this movie. He is a great actor and with the movie it was just absolutely great/fantastic. This was a movie that had a lot of action and kept you guessing on what would happen next. Some slow areas but was picked up with the areas around the slow parts. Kept me watching and guessing....

I heard many people say they disliked this movie. I have seen it 3 times and each time I discover something I had missed the time before. I love it! Will Smith pulled this off by himself. The plot was interesting and uncommon, thats what made it a positive in my book. This is one movie that I would add to my collection and watch it many times!...

I really liked this movie, I Am Legend. Will Smith plays scientist Robert Neville who thinks he's the last man on earth. Smith is an extremely gifted actor and does a great job in this film, he really does a good job portraying his character and getting the audience into the movie. I didn't really care for all of the flashbacks and scenes from before he was alone. There are some sad parts and I think that's what brings the whole movie together. It's very different than the book by Richard Matheson, but the movie and the book are both extremely good....

I am legend is about a scientist named Robert Nevel. Robert is the last man on earh and is trying to find a cure for the disease that made everybody in the world like these zombie/vampire things. I strongly recomend this movie....

I am Legend was superb. I honestly cried several times throughout the movie. I am a huge fan of Will Smith and this movie blew my expectations through the ceiling.

My only concern was the ending. I think that it was not how most people would have wanted it to end. It left questions in my mind.

I like Will Smith, I like a lot of the movies / shows he has been in, I beleive he is a good actor with exceptional acting abilities... Someone did not do Mr. Smith nor his co-actors justice when they released this movie (especially since it wasn't in theaters very long before hitting rental shelves).
I beleive there is a good story to be told in this movie, but someone either released an unfinished piece of work, or they edited out way to much and kept too many slow pieces of useless information, and the ending wasn't all that great either. At least it had a lot of moving "moments."...

Really liked the mind-play of Smith vs. "the bad things". ALthough, this movie really kidna reminded me of 28 Weeks later, I like seeing Smith in the serious roles. Poor dog.

I was disappointed by this movie. I love will smith and the CG effects looked really cool in the previews. Those may have been the only good parts of the movie. And the dog.

There were huge chunks of the movie that were totally pointless and did not move the plot forward. Some were totally random and you didn't even understand what was going on.

There was so much sadness and senseless death that any victory at the end was not worth all the blood, sweat and tears put into it. I feel like i wasted several hours of my life. I know it was based on a book, but they could have done a lot better with this movie.

Although Will Smith shows well at the Boxoffices, this movie is somewhat disappointing. It doesn't hold true to the book. The plot was entertaining, but there were also a lot of unanswered questions and outcomes that could have been different. The ending left my group of viewers highly unsatisfied....
