twizzlecat2 says "Best show I've seen in a long time." about House - Season One

Ever since the first episope of House I have been hooked. There are probably very few that I have not seen since I started watching it. The ones I have missed I'm sure I have seen the reruns of. I have seen a lot of the episodes many times, it doesn't matter because I just really enjoy seeing all of them over and over again. Sometimes they have a marathon of House if it wasn't for having to eat or go somewhere etc, I would probably sit in front of the TV watching it for hours. I have stayed up all hours of the night to watch it. There has never been a program on tv that has gotten my interest as much as House. I really never was into watching programs about Doctors but this one to me was totally different. Its just so different than the others. Some of them can be so boring but this one never has been to me. I make sure whenever a new episode of House is coming on to watch it. I hope House stays around for many years to come.
...

The first time i watched house i was immediately drawn. it is not a show that you have to watch every episode to know what's going on. just watching the advertisements have me marking my calendar for the next show. re-runs do not bother me either i could watch them over and over....

I recently got into the television show House because I heard about how great it is. I think after watching two shows I was hooked. Since I just started watching the show, I decided to collect the boxed seasons on DVD. I didn't realize that they were so expensive! I saw some stores selling each season for $45.

I did find them on sale and decided to start from the beginning. I purchased House Season One. I liked the fact that there is quite a bit of runtime in the season, almost 1000 minutes. That's a lot of House! The thing I think I like about this show the most is the humor of Dr. Greg House, or the complicated cases that they deal with.

Dr. House is so hilarious, and everyone on his staff compliments him. The team works so well together. One of the saddest episodes of House I have seen is the one with the babies sick, found in this season. It brought tears to my eyes when the poor kids were sick.

I highly recommend this DVD boxed set for any fans of House. Even...
...

cmorgan21 says "For everyone who wanted to talk back to boss or coworkers" about House - Season One

House, Season One, is great watching for a long weekend or a short convalesence. It has been on Fox television for two seasons. If you haven't been a fan, the dvd will convert you and prepare you for season 3 in the Fall.

House is a great diagostician and a lousy human being. Every episode follows the same format: some patient has some unknown disease that will likely kill him or her. House and his team of doctors race the clock to figure out the disease and cure the patient.

House is uniformly mean to his subordinates and to his boss, the hospital administrator. Even his best friend, a cancer doctor, gets more insults than compliments. I find his brand of sarcasm laugh out loud funny. Most of the episodes have upbeat endings which reinforces what we all hope: a trip to the hospital will effect a cure. There are just enough downbeat endings to maintain reality and add suspense.

The medicine is well researched and riveting, as well.
...

I would watch House anytime! This is one of the greatest t.v. shows of 2008. You learn a lot about diseases and how to solve them. I would recommend this to whoever is into the medical field or that likes unusual cases. you'll love the characters and even though Dr.House can be annoying it's worth watching and if you really like it I would definitely recommend buying it!...

House is a bold in your face look at medicine and how complicated it can sometimes be. I love that Dr. House is protrayed as a real person with real problems and short comings. Too often people dont see doctors as human beings too. The cases they have told are riveting just want you want to watch in a drama. ...

House is a wonderful series, but I really liked it better when he had the first team. The new team annoys the hell out of me. I don't really know why, they just do. I think my favorite part of the series is the quirky interaction between House and Cuddy. They make me laugh constantly. Wonderfully written and superb acting on all fronts. House's attitude is so funny. It makes me wonder if there really is a doctor like him out here in the real world....

I started watching this show when it first started - and loved it from the beginning. Unfortunately, since the show began it's second season, it lost some of the charm it had in it's first season. Season one of House is like no other, the characters are great, the plots are fantastic. A must-see for any television fan!...

What can I say about House. First of all who ever would have guessed the main character is British. You can't even tell he has an American accent. It is so weird to hear him talk in real life and know that is his true voice. This doctor who is a pill popping, egotistocal, sarcastic man is absolutely incredible at finding out diagnosis no other doctor could ever think of in their entire lives. He surronds himself with three other incredible doctors on his team, an incredible actress as the chief of staff, and his best friend, who is an oncologist. Every show centers around him trying to solve a case that no other doctor could ever think of and centers around him trying to ruin the lives of all the people he works with in the hospital. Meanwhile, due to his own illness that leads to a permanent disability and his having to pop percocet every hour because of his pain, he still is incredible at ruling out diagnoses and saving the hour. It is worth watching and when you find......

ViewButterflyBlue says "Put a good actor in a well written show and you have HOUSE" about House - Season One

I absolutely love the character of House because he's straight forward and to the point and says things honestly even if it does sometimes tick people off and believe me, I can
relate to that having done that a few times myself in life. Its nice to see characters that
are not always so perfect because it makes it more interesting and you can more easily relate. I think Cameron is a wonderful accent to the show and so is Foreman. Chase is
very expressive and I really hope I can see him make movies someday as well because
he is a very good actor. House's character has been in some excellent flims as well such as The Flight of the Phoenix and he was good in the movie it only stands to reason he would be so good in the show, House. I am a medical assistant by trade when working and after fifteen years as a caregiver and following doctors orders when you just want to roll your eyes at them from time to time, I really can relate to this show because I do have an understanding of medical knowledge......

From the beginning of this show, I have been a fan! If I had a disease that no one could diagnose, I would love to have a doctor like House. However, I am not sure I would like to be his colleague. It's funny to watch him insult but I am not so sure I could take them. But, at least, he calls them like he sees them....

House ahs cynical uncompromised wit that just makes you love him and hate him. the characters are very complex and thestory line is always interesting. The supporting characters really add to the plot. The intriging storie consist of rare disease and circumstances, which House with his 'everyone lies policy' always figures out. This is a great dvd to buy and watch over and over again....
