I absolutely love my hotsling. I use it all the time and fold it, so that it is ready for its next use, then roll it up and put it in my diaper bag. It is always there when I need it and convenient because it is not bulky at all. There is a little bit of a learning curve to get used to wearing a sling, but the hotsling came with both a picture chart and a dvd explaining its use. I have found that when I fold it prepared for the next use, it is quick and user friendly when I am ready for it. I get comments about it frequently- that is is an adorable print, clever idea, and most importantly that my son and now my daughter look so happy, comfy, and content in it! They both have absolutely loved it. The hotsling could make a long shopping trip, sightseeing, etc. possible. It also free's up my hands when my little on is fussy and I have things that I need to get done around the house. On top of that it is versatile. My newborn can recline in it and my two year old can still sit on my hip in...
...

DianneHasAnOpinion says "Wanted to love the Hotsling but just didn't" about HotSlings Stretch Baby Sling/Wrap

When I was pregnant, I was so excited to be a baby-wearer! I even purchased a heavier car seat, figuring "well, I won't be transporting baby much in it, as I'll be carrying her in my sling." So I went on the internet and searched for several days, reading tons of reviews, to find the perfect sling. I decided that the HotSling would be it. (I saw a woman wearing an adjustable sling, and was turned off by the amount of fabric that hangs on them).

I used the sizing chart on Hotsling's website, and ordered one up. When it arrived I was SO excited. But I go to put it on, and it didn't evne come CLOSE to fitting. It wouldn't hardly go over my torso, much less allow space for a baby. I tried using a smaller sized stuffed animal to test it out -- I was right, too small! By the time I lost enough pregnancy weight to make it possibly fit, my baby was way too big for the infant hold, and I was just put-off by the experience to try any of the other holds.

I was hoping to be able...
...

I LOVE my HotSlings Stretch Baby Sling/Wrap. It is my lifesaver. It is amazing. My daughter is 7 months old and has been in it since she came home as a 4 pound, one month old preemie. It is very safe. It holds many different aged babies. My daughter seems very comfortable in it. They even sent me a DVD to teach me how to fold and wear it the many different ways that it can be worn. It is super stylish and cute. I adore it. It stays with me at ALL times. My seven month old lives in it (especially when I am trying to cook dinner). :-) My only con is that it has to be fitter properly. However, before ordering there is a size chart that it very easy to read and understand that will help you choose the right size for you.
...

jtedcastle says "Hotsling - couldn't get the fit right" about HotSlings Stretch Baby Sling/Wrap

I really enjoy baby-wearing, and was hoping that the Hotsling would work well with my son. I was excited to see they were sold at Target, but they only carry the smaller sizes. From the chart on Hotsling's website, it looked like I would need a 6. I bought one, and found that it was really tight across my shoulder when my 8 month old was in it. I traded a friend for a size 7, and found that was too loose for him.

I think the concept is great. They're very sturdy, and the materials are gorgeous. I have no idea how to do any carry besides a hip carry - it seems like if a baby wasn't sitting up in it, it wouldn't be really snug.

Also, it seems like it works well for small - average size Moms. Plus size Moms, it doesn't seem to adjust well for broader shoulders, or a longer distance to your hip.

I really wanted to like this, but it didn't seem to work well for us. I had much better luck with a ring sling that I could adjust to the length I needed.
...

The hotsling baby carrier is so nice! I love to have him so close with my hands free! I was a little nervous at first, but I don't feel that there's a chance of him falling out! That was a relief and now I love having him so near! I have one in black so it goes with just about everything. I only wish there was some way it was adjustable so my mom and husband could use it too! I didn't really want the added expense of buying multiple slings. Other than that I really like the ease of use, no buckling or strapping or locking needed!...

I followed the directions on how to buy the correct size (measured from my hip to arm and height, but when I tried to use the sling I felt that my son was being smothered. I didn't like that it was one piece of fabric with no way to adjust it. I have since purchased another wrap that I use almost daily and love. I would not recommend the hotsling to anyone....

The Hotslings baby carrier is a wonderful idea. Being small shouldered it's hard for me to wear ring slings, they always cut me off at the neck.
It is so comfortable to wear your baby in this pouch sling and it comes in adorable prints too! My daughter even messed out her entire diaper while I was shopping, so I ran home and washed the sling thinking it would be stained forever, but it came out clean!
The only problem I have with this sling is that it's sizing. I got a size 3 which was great when my daughter was little, but now that I want to do the hip carry, it's much too small. Maybe I should have shrunk as she grew! Now I need the size 4. I wish I would have gotten the stretch Hotslings, but I didn't know there was a difference at the time.
...

I am a breastfeeding, cloth diapering, babywearing mother of two girls. I LOVE slings and I thought the Hotsling was the perfect answer until I realized that with a few yeards of fabric and a few straigt seams on a sewing machine I could make the same for a few dollars instead of $40-$60. This product really is extremely overpriced and I've found flaws in them too many times to count.

Don't waste your money, make your own or buy one that's a better quality - support WAHMs who don't try to whip up something crappy just to make an extra buck!
...

I have had this product for one day and love it! I've previously tried the snugli front carrier and experience nothing but back pain after my sons got about 14 lb. I can now wear my 16 lb son in this with no pain. It is easy to get him in and out of with no straps or clips. It's compact and washable. It leaves my hands free. I feel like it has opened up a whole new world to me as I can now take my infant and my toddler places at the same time. I only wish I would have had one sooner!...

I bought a hotsling for my second son after reading several good things about it from other moms. I loved my hotsling as did my son! The only drawback that I really came across was that it was a little difficult to master putting him in and getting him out at first. Once I got the hang of it, it wasn't a big deal, though. I spent a lot of my maternity leave at the library with my infant son peacefully napping while I perused the books. It's also great for discreet breastfeeding. When he did get a little fussy in the sling, I was able to breastfeed very discreetly, no matter where I was.

...

I finally discovered the Hotsling with my last baby. I have used a variety of slings over the past few years and have never found one that was both easy to use and comfortable. I dealt with back pain, clumsy buckles, belts and slides. Slings I needed another adult to help me put on. Slings where I nearly dropped my son on his head. Low and behold the savior that is the Hotsling! So easy to use! No instruction videos or manuals needed. Extra comfortable and available in lots of stylish fabrics! Plus I can just roll it up and toss it in my purse or diaper bag....

I have or have had just about every carrier on the market. An unadjustable sling like the hotsling is a great easy type of sling to use during casual activity. I say this because leaning over may result in your child tipping or falling out. The sling is not unsafe but as with all carriers you have to use caution and limit what you do while carrying your child. I use this primarily around the house when my son wants to be held but I have things I need to do and need my hands free. If I am out walking or running after my toddler I opt for something that offers me and my baby more supports like my Ergo or Becco. The hotsling is an easy, fast to put on carrier that is a good option for novice baby wearers but may not offer the security and versatility an active parent may need. Hotslings are very attractive, are well made but buying the right size is essential. If you are sort of between sizes then order the next size up.
...
