I am fairly impressed with my new hotpoint. It was a great price, I bought it online and had it delivered. My old oven had continueing problems turning off and such.

This time I looked for the best price and went with a basic model. As long as it had a timer and a clock I was good to go. I was replacing a more expensive Hotpoint oven. So far so good. We broke it in on Thanksgiving putting it to the test. It cooked and browned our turkey evenly.

The packaging was simple and the directions were easy to understand. It took only a half hour to install it. I didn't have to light any pilot lights at all. They are all electric starters, I like that feature.

As a unit it is pretty light and easy to move around but solid enough to trust with a turkey. I think this oven will last a few good years without something going wrong. That's all I ask from an appliance.

I have spent more money in the past on appliances only to find they are not that great because they cost more, they have the same problems...
...

axlschick says "I'll Never Buy Another Brand! " about Hotpoint Range - RGB745

This is a fabulous range, I can't say enough good things about it. We had a cheaper gas range previously, and every time I baked something, it had to be rotated flipped, turned, etc. in order to come out evenly cooked. It was a giant hassle to bake anything, as it needed constant supervision. This range is the complete opposite. Put your item in the oven, set the timer, and forget about it. When the timer dings, out come your perfectly baked items. And I can't believe the difference in texture! The muffins and cakes are so much lighter and flufflier, it's amazing. I often bake the cheaper store brand biscuits, and we couldn't believe the difference when I baked them in this oven! And the stovetop is great, too. There's four burners, two are regular, and one is high capacity for bringing things to a boil quicker, and one is low capacity for simmering. And the cooktop burners are sealed for easier cleaning. The oven is larger capacity and it's self cleaning! What more could you ask for....
...

The Hotpoint Stove works extremely well. the oven heats evenly. The burners heat fast.

The only drawback it he bottom drawer. It is hard to open as there is no place to grab it.
...

bkovacs says "This stove really cooks." about Hotpoint Range - RGB745

My wife and I were looking for a standalone stove that would fit in the space that our old drop-in stove occupied and it turned out that the Hotpoint RGB745 was a perfect fit. We got our RGB745 in traditional appliance white.

What Is It?

The Hotpoint RGB745 is a traditional-looking four-burner natural gas stove with pushbutton controls and a digital readout on the back panel. It measures exactly 30 inches wide, which was a whisker less than some of the other stoves that we checked. The backsplash is 11 inches tall, which is a bit taller than I would like.

The cooktop has four burners: two for medium heat, one for high heat and one for low heat. Arching over the burners are heavy-duty pot supports coated with a gray enamel. Gray drip pans surrounding the burners are easily removed for washing in the sink, a nice touch that I appreciate. Although the oven and timer controls are on the electronic panel in the backsplash, the burner controls are traditional knobs at the front of the stove....
...
