I bought the Bagless Wind tunnel one year ago. It is the worse use of money and energy I have ever purchased. Hoover will not back it up and I've been told that it keeps the repair shops in business. Mine was in the shop in the first two months because the cord stopped rewinding and the belt broke everytime I used it, not kidding. The cord works a little better now and the belt now only breaks every other tme I vacuum. By the way, you have to remove a lot of screws to replace the belt. I buy the belts 5 at a time. You mght ask what Hoover says, they say, "talk to your repair shop." Oh, it also overheats every time there is the slightest clog and then some sensor burns out, which costs $50.00 to replace. Walmart won't pull it off the shelf until "Hoover recalls it." So there you are, out $200.00 with nothiing you can do except write reviews. Chalk it up to education, I'm going out to buy a real vacuum.

By the way, I don't have 5 kids and I'm fairly mechanically...

I read consumer report before buying this vacumn and felt confident it would match the Dyson. Was I in la la land. My sister has a Dyson which I had used before and initially the hoover performed similarly to the Dyson. However, within weeks there was an obvious deterioration in suction. I have a black rug that did not look quite as black after vacumning. The filter is hard to clean and not washable which may be why the suction goes. The hand sweeper when works does a good job of picking up pet hair, but clogs easily. I have had to open it numerous times to remove hair to get it working again. the vacumn lasted or only three months then I had to take it to a service center for repairs. The belt was broken and the warranty did not cover that. I anticipate that I will be changing belts frequently. It's also very heavy to use on staircases. My mom refuses to use it because of the weight

This is a very economical vacuum cleaner and works well for the price point. I would recommend it to anyone as a first time cleaner.

The Hoover Windtunnel is awful. It was, by far, the worst vacum I've ever owned. It spit dirt and dust back at me when I tried to clean my hardwood floors. The debris holder was a nightmare to clean, and never actually came clean, ever. It left a ton of dirt and sand behind, and would stop working for no obvious reason. I'd have to let it rest for several hours before I could use it again. Then, it woudln't pick anything up, and I'd have to sweep anyway. Don't waste your money, buy any other vacum, and you'll be better off then if you'd bought the Windtunnel.

the hoover mach 5 was nightmare from the beginning, had a mind of its own, always shut down at intervals, is the most sensitive piece of technology in a bad way! everything stopped functioning correctly one after the other until I'm now ready to throw it out completely, with great relief and pleasure, but also very angry at the large amount I paid for it, and it only lasted a year!

I absolutely love this vacuum. It picks up the hair from my dogs and cats like a charm. My previous vacuum was an Oreck and I vacuumed my whole house with it right before getting this one. I went over the carpet with the Hoover Windtunnel and I couldn't believe the amount of dirt, hair, and old Carpet Fresh the Oreck left behind. I love all of the attachments, and the fact that it's bagless. I empty the canister and the filter after each use and it really gets the job done.

The only con is that it is a little on the heavy side, but it cleans so much better than my light weight Orek.

We have owned our Hoover Windtunnel Bagless vacuum for 4 years and it is still working as well as it did on day one. We use it to clean up after 7 cats and 4 house rabbits, hay and cat litter are always sucked up in it easily. I love the hose attachment....

I absolutely love this vacuum! This is my second one like this. It is great for use on everything from hardwood to plush carpet. I also use it to vacuum the cat hair off my furniture and bed comforter, which is a several times a week task. The attachment has powerful suction as well. After several months my husband takes the attachment apart and cleans out excess hair that has accumulated. My husband is also a neat freak and when he empties the dirt, he also uses a whisk brush to brush off the filter. I think this probably helps it to pick up better and last longer, even though it doesn't say to do that. After I use the vacuum, I can definitely tell. It gives the carpet a fresh look. I have even used one of the brushes to clean my mini blinds and it does and excellent job. I've read the reviews stating that this vacuum doesn't pick up pet hair well, but I really disagree with that. I have two cats, one of which is long hair. I vacuum several times a week as the...

The belts keep on breaking and the brushes keep getting stuck because of the hai that get wrapped in the brush even though I clean it everytime it is used.

I own a Hoover Windtunnel bagless upright vaccum and let me tell you would never buy one ever ever again. I now wish I would have bought a Dyson! I thought my previous vaccum sweeper was bad...ha. Thie windtunnel is no better. many faults with the sweeper keep it from being truely great. Some of the filters work good, but the one that is in the canister that you have to empty...needs to be washable!! There is no way to get that filter really clean so that it picks up really well. I take it outside and bang it on the side of the deck and dust flies everywhere. I have my husband blow it out with the airhose but thats a disaster too. another problem is when you go to dump the canister and you tip it over, the filter wants to fall out with it and usually does and makes a huge mess. The on board tools leave something to be desired to. The only tool that works is the wider attatchment with the teeth, that helps some with pet hair but not very well. I have 2 cats and keeping...

I am so happy I purchased this Hoover wind tunnel machine! It's absolutely great and makes carpets look so nice. Bagless feature is great too! It does such a nice job and going bagless saves on purchasing bags too! It's a little hard to push around for me since my last machine was a self-propelled machine, but that one was not bagless as this machine is! Suction is good too!...

hoover bagless windtunnel i have one and i love it. it is so lightweight easy to manuever and picks up dog and cat hair easily and smoothly. i have a microfiber sofa, and the hair sticks to it but not with this vacuum. hans up a superb product...

This was a great machine for about 6 months--then it died. I kept the attachments and used them with my next machine--a Eureks Boss which is also showing signs of wear after only a few months. I am now searching for a real quality cleaner which will last for at least 5-10 years....

Hoover wind tunnel Vacuum It is very heavy and hard to push around. Cleans well but it just way to heavy. I hope they come up with something a lot lighter weight and easier to move around. The vacuum is a little pricy and hard to clean the vacuum. I will suggest people who is going to buy this vacuum to try it out at the store modle before buying it.
