Farklegirl says "My Hoover Vacuum makes cleaning a breeze" about Hoover Wind Tunnel Vacuum

The Hoover Wind Tunnel Cyclonic 12 Amp Vacuum makes cleaning a breeze. This model has a convenient cord rewind. This model has 3 positions, upright, and 2 lower positions for getting under tables and other furniture.

I have an Australian Shepherd, and they have alot of hair. That hair is no match for the Hoover Wind Tunnel. The dirt cup really fills up rather quickly, but it is easy enough to remove and empty. There are several attachments which make reaching higher places or small spaces easier.

The brush roll can be turned on and off by using your foot on the convenient button on the front of the vacuum. This is a definite plus for anyone with hard wood floor surfaces.

There is a small brush roll which attaches to the hoses. This small brush roll makes cleaning furniture simple. In addition to pet hair, my children can make some messes on the furniture as well. The small brush roll takes care of it.
...

While living in the basement of my parents house during my husbands military training, I had the opportunity to use their Hoover vacuum to clean my basement area and help them by cleaning their rooms upstairs too! I actually don't really mind vacuuming, but when you have a really great vacuum, the vacuuming is actually enjoyable! I purachased a different vac about 3 years ago and have been really dissatisfied with the suction power my vacuum had...although I didn't know what I was missing out on until I moved here and way how great the Hoover windtunnel was! Boy, I was vacuuming the entire house because I loved seeing how much it was able to pick up! I was using the extensions..which I also loved, there were two straight extensions for longer reaches as opposed to one on my vacuum. The vacuum had two cool features...an indicator light that told you when the carpet was clean, and the other cool feature was that you could use a carpet floor setting or a hard floor setting! It...
...

carolez says "works as expected" about Hoover Wind Tunnel Vacuum

My husband purchased the Hoover Wind Tunnel with a 12 amp motor prior to our marriage in 2006. At that time, he was living in an apartment by himself. After our marriage, he moved to my home and we acquired Maggie Mae, a bullmastiff. I was doubtful that the sweeper would be able to keep up with the dog hair and dog dander, however, to my amazement, it has performed very satisfactorily. I like the twin chamber system and can observe when the dirt chamber is full. I like the hepa filter on the side. When I took the sweeper in to be serviced, I purchased a small bottle of room deodorizer. Once a week, I place two drops on the filter and it keeps the house smelling very fresh. I like that fact that there is a head light which makes sweeping under objects much easier. There&******* also a red and green light that tells me if I have gotten all the dirt up where I had been sweeping. I don't think there is anything I do not like about this sweeper.
...

If you have kids or allergies you have to have a good vacume. I was tired of trying to find bags for my old vacume. We all have some form of allergies, but my son and I both have asthma also. I decided to go shopping for a vacume and was determined to make life easier with my choice. I chose the Hoover Wndtunnel which is bagless. One pull and the container is off the front. I pull the filter holder out and dump. It is so easy to use my 7 yearold can do it. It has a hepafilter in it to collect all those nasty allergins floating around the house. I have had it for 9 years and all I have to replace is the filter a couple times a year and the belt about every 3 years. It cost me just under $200 dollars with 3 year warranty, but i have no regrets. It sucks up everything but will not catch its own cord or money. If it gets a toy as your child screams all you have to do is open the container and get it. This has happened a few times. No more sweeping! it does this task very nicely. The hose attachments...
...

I loved this Hoover windtunnel bagged self propelled vacuum cleaner when I first bought it. I thought it was the best thing going. I had to replace the belt 4 times within 10 months. Access to the belt is so difficult to be able to change it that I counted my financial loss, junked it and bought a geared beltless Kenmore vacuum at Sears. I had been a one Hoover vacuum owner for 20 years and I am so disappointed with Hoover and this product.
...

This vacuum is really great! I have had many vacuums in my time but this one is great! I love how it has a retactable cord This is one of the things that really annoy me about vacuuming. I had wrapping the cord and it falling off! This is is a one push quick cord! It is so awesome your kids will even want to vacuum!. It has great suctionsand cleans very well. The hose attachement is also very nice. The hose is nice and sturdy and alot nicer than others that I have seen. It is easy to clean and continues to clean my floors well after many uses.
...

I bought this Hoover wind tnnel cyclonic vacuum, its red and fairly light. I bought this vacuum at target for nearly $200. I choose this particular vacuum becuase target was running a sale before Christmas that if you bought this vacuum you got a $50 gift card for Target. I also read reviews on amazon and other websites. I knew this vacuum was not the highest rated of all, but it was the highest rated in its price range. I do daycare and have to vacuum several times a day. I vacuum the bare floors and throw rugs and also regular carpet. I do put alot of use on the vacuums I use, I don't like to pick up every little thing off of the carpets. I do vacuum up a lot of things that might comprimise the machine. But I thought for the price of this vacuum that it would be what I needed. It worked fantastic at first, I absolutly loved it, I love that it is red and I like how the canister comes out and you can empty it with one hand. I dislike how the funnel filter like thing has small holes that...
...

raeanna says "The Hoover Windtunnel is falling apart in only 2 years" about Hoover Wind Tunnel Vacuum

We bought the Hoover Windtunnel vacuum just 2 1/2 years ago. Since then the switch had gone bad. I cannot get a replacement switch - they now only sell the ENTIRE handle with a newly designed switch for this vacuum. In the last 9 months it has developed an annoying growl that cannot be attributed to the belt or filters as those have been changed. It does not stay on because of the switch. The filter on the front of the vacuum that is labled as a Hepa filter does not collect any dirt or even seem to have any air flowing through it anywhere. In fact if you take off the Hepa filter you will see that it's sitting between to solid pieces of plastic with no holes anywhere with with to draw air. As far as I can see the Hepa filter is for show only and has no designed functionality. This vacuum sucks and NOT in a good way. A waste of money. I'm only holding onto it until I can afford a new one.
...

gvblondie says "I'm rather disappointed in my latest Hoover vacuum cleaner." about Hoover Wind Tunnel Vacuum

I purchased my third Hoover upright self-propelled vacuum about two years ago and I'm definitely not as happy with it as with my previous vacuums. My biggest complaint is that the on/off switch sometimes works and other times it does not. I have taken it apart and cannot see what the problem is. I even resorted to asking for help from my husband . . . always my last resort! He can't see what is causing the problem either. Now I sometimes have to un-plug it in order to turn it off. I am worried that it's not safe to do that on a regular basis. As I still have my old Hoover upright sitting out in the garage (waiting for a yard sale) I'm thinking of taking it apart to see if the parts are inter-changeable.

This was my first experience with a 'bagless' and I think it will be my last. Just seems too messy when it's time to empty. Dust flies everywhere and I usually end up taking it to the garage and cleaning it with the shop vac. Guess I should have listened to Mom after-all!...
...

This Windtunnel Bagless U5786-900 was recommended by Consumer Reports. I couldn't find it in stores ordered on line at Target. I love that it is bagless with having birds, dogs and a cat this will save me on bags. Bird seeds accounted for most of the dirt in the bag and space. Next is the dog hair (how much hair do they lose in a day??!!!). I love the hand tool for dog hair it is a small sweeper head with an agitator that helps pick up more hair and sweeps the stairs great too! My carpets looks cleaner and fluffier. I highly recommend this sweeper.
