The Hoover Bagless Upright vacuum has very good suction but is a little challanged when it comes to picking up larger messes (i.e. cheerios). It's lightweight and looks pretty sharp. Has a nice telescoping handle.

Although it has a sufficient length of hose it does not come with extension poles. I found it difficult to use to clean the ceiling fans and that a little more stooping was required for areas such as the sliding glass door tracks. It does come with a dust brush and a crevice tool which lends some extension (the dust brush snaps on to the end of the crevice tool) but I need at least two poles for comfort. I am planning on checking on the Hoover website to see if there are some that are compatible so until then I remain a bit disapointed ....

The filter has a nifty little thing on it that you move across the ridges to help release the dust prior to emptying. The cup releases from the bottom. A definate plus there!

When the vacuum is in the upright position you have...
...

I bought this Hoover Nano-Lite vacuum at Wal-Mart yesterday about $55. plus tax.

Pros- It cleans a carpet that is so thick everything stays on the top. It removed a lot of cat hair, lint, sand and tiny particles really well. Goes close up with walls very easy.It is 12 amps compared to some lite weight vacs that are 9 amps which makes it more powerful. The handle adjust to long and short depending on how high you want it. One great feature is that it is easy to empty this bagless vac. Dirt cup clicks on and off very easy. Dirt falls right out the bottom into pail.No dust kick back in your face. Comes with long electic cord, hose and a couple of attachents. Carrying handle in front very convient as well as on and off button top front.

Cons-Very noisy, hose attachement to short. I used a velcro strip to gather cord to hang on vaccum.
...

I am disappointed in the Hoover nano lite. Rarely do I have appliances or electronics that stop working or have problems when they are not abused. Unfortunately the Nano lite falls into this category. I would say that the performance for the first year was ok for such a cheaply priced vaccuum. It would clean carpets well and my hard wood floor less so. Nevertheless I would empty a large pile of dust and dirt after every vacuumming. I could tell about 3 months in that the motor was funky. The device seemed to get overly hot and had a strange smell. Fast forward 14 months after the purchase and the thing completely died, of course after the 1 year warranty.
...

I LOVE my vacuum cleaner! The Nanolite has been a great buy. I bought it this last December and it has worked perfectly ever since. I never have to go over and over my floor. One pass is enough. I do not have pet hair, as some have mentioned, but my own hair sheds like crazy in the bathroom where I blowdry it, and the Nanolite picks it up without a problem. One thing- I have to turn the switch to the Hard Floor setting to vacuum my kitchen rug or it will unravel the edges. I am so glad I didn't pay more for a vacuum when this one does the job!
...

Went searching for a replacement for my Hoover electric broom, a lightweight vacuum I had used for years on my bare floors - it finally died - I have a larger, fancier Hoover Windtunnel bagless vacuum that I use on my carpets and rugs and I LOVE it - but it is too heavy to use on a flight of stairs and too bulky to manuver around the bathrooms - stumbled upon the Nanolite at Walmart - this is a great vacuum at a great price - very light-weight and easily manuverable in small spaces - it has great suction - I also love the bagless feature - highly recommend this item - very practical for any level of cleaning.
...

Does not pick up pet hair at all!!! Works ok for first month. Would be good if you lived in a small apartment by yourself with no animals. Hoover nano lite upright bagless vacuum is cheap but invest in something better!...

After having several high dollar vacuums break after less than a year, I decided to buy a cheap one so it would be truly disposable. The Hoover Nanolite is still going strong! After using my old windtunnel to vacuum one room, I re-vacuumed the room using my new nanolite. I had to empty the canister twice and whack the filter to get the dirt out. How horrible to realize my carpet had been that dirty for who knows how long and that a $50 vacuum could have done the job right the first time.

Pros: lightweight, inexpensive, easy to store, works like a trooper, sucks dirt like nobody's business.

Cons: Canister cup could hold more, hose could be longer, having a light would be nice and a longer cord would be nice. None of these are showstoppers.

I'd buy another one and I'd recommend it to others.
...

I bought the cute little Hoover Nano Lite last night at Walmart. Plugged it in this morning and was hoping for a litlle powerhouse of a cleaning tool. I was disappointed. I have children and a cat. It just didn't do well on my area rug especially. It did okay on the bare floor with the tools......Thankfully I haven't given away my old one yet. Now at least I can vaccuum again before I go back to the drawing board.I also could only go one direction on my area rug. I tried to go the other way and it was soooo hard to push and the head bounced on the floor.
...

I received the Hoover Nanolite vac. for Christmas. I LOVE the way this powerhouse cleans! There are some minor things that would be nice if they changed. I wish it had a longer cord and also a longer hose. Other that these minor flaws I have no complaints. It cleans better than a large vacuum. It gets so much dirt out of the carpet, its almost embarassing! It's easy to manuver. Easy to empty the dirt cup as well as to clean the filter. You really can't go wrong with this. Makes housekeeping much easier. Thanks for the great gift Son!...

I bought a Hoover Nanolite at Walmart( $49.99) since my old dirt devil died. I wanted something light so could carry it upstairs but that would clean wood floors( most of my floors) and area rugs. It really works great. Picks up easily as much dirt as the previous big heavy model I had. The bagless cup is large enough for a few uses before it needs emptied. Picks up the cat hair from my solid dark green sofa with the uphostery tool. only the uphostery brush and crevice tools for tools but that is all i really ever use. the hose could be a little longer since it would be hard to get into some ceiling corners. love the telescoping handle, auto adjusts for carpet lengths. the cord winder is pretty meger and needs to be larger. first bagless i ever had but it does collect some dust around the place that opens when you empty the cup so i wipe that area with a wet paper towel when i empty the cup. other than that, no complaints and it sucks up stuff great which is it's main purpose. Not a lot......
