I will have to say that the Hoover Elite Rewind is one of the best vacuums that I've ever owned. It is absolutely fantastic at picking up particles from the carpet, and drawing dirt up out of the carpet as well. I am thoroughly pleased with how my flooring looks after I've used this vacuum.

I bought this vaccum because it claimed to do a good job on pet hair. The suctionis horrible and I have a problem with the belt breaking. I have yet to find a vaccum that does a decent job picking up animal fur.As far as getting it off furniture the Pledge $5.00 pet fur remover works the best. I do not recomed this vacum to any pet owner !!!!...

Hoover Rewind Elite Bagless Upright Vacumn. I bought this about 8 months ago for $89.99 so wasn't expecting perfection but I certainly didn't expect haviing so much trouble, either. The suction is not great, and the belt has a tendancy to burn up and break it I use the machine too long. What's up with that? ? ? ? ? New belts are not very costly but the effort to take apart the roller brush assembly to replace it is a real PAIN ! ! ! ! ! I would never buy another one of these!...

I've been satisfied so far with this vacume. I like the self rewinding feature for the cord. The bagless feature is a plus, and empties through the bottom is great. The vacuming power is good and you can see the dirt it picks up. Not that heavy compared to alot of uprights. Just wish the hose was longer for cleaning stairs. It does have the pover brush for cleaning the furniture which is great....

The Hoover Elite is great. It has 7 height adjustments so you can go from carpet to bare floor. The Bagless container is clear so you can see when it is getting full. It comes with a mini vacuum attachment to put on the hose and you can vacuum furniture and drapes. The rewind cord eliminates tangles and makes it easy to store....

I wasn't expecting much from the Hoover Elite Rewind vacuum. I wanted a more expensive model like a Dyson, but my husband wanted to spend a little less and suggested this model. I didn't think I would like it very much, but consented. I was genuinely surprised. My previous vacuum was similar to this but a Kenmore and it was hard to deal with because of the dust cup being difficult to remove and replace, etc. Getting to the dirt stuck inside the dust cup was absurd since you couldn't get to some places inside there. So I worried that this might be similar

What a surprise! This Hoover Rewind is easy to maintain. The cup is easy to pop out of place. With a push of a button you can lift it right out. Then it has a lever on the side to empty the contents so you never have to touch the dirt unless on rare occasions something lodges up in the top chamber. Nine times out of ten all of the pet hair and big stuff falls in the bottom portion of container so it's easy to dump. ......

This is one of the worst vaccums I have ever had. I bought it on a Sat. night, brought it home and put it together on Sun. On Monday night I moved all my furniture out, because I was getting all new furniture on Tue. I started to vaccum the carpet and all of a sudden I hear a horrible noise and it starts to smell like it is burning! Before I can get it shut off pieces start blowing out of the bottom of it, the beater bar just blows apart!

It says on the instruction sheet to call the company before taking the vaccum back to the store. So I call the phone # first thing Tue. morning and the lady says, "well, do you have your receipt?" I tell her I do and she says, "then just take it back to where you bought it." I informed her that the instructions told me to call them first and she just said, "well, you need to take it back to the store you bought it from."

I will never buy another Hoover again!
