vivasuzi says "Peter Pan... Part 2" about Hook

When I first saw Hook, I was younger and I thought it was the most fantastic movie. Now I'm an adult, and I still love this movie to death. So you've seen Peter Pan, what is this movie about?? Like my title says, it's what happens AFTER Peter Pan ends.

Basic Plot
The basic plot is revealed late in the movie, so I won't give it away. Instead I'll just explain a little of the beginning. Peter Banning is a hard working guy. Work is his life, and his kids and wife are on the back burner. Peter and Moira Banning's (Robin Williams and Caroline Goodall) kids are kidnapped right near the beginning, and a message is left from the infamous Captain James S. Hook (Dustin Hoffman). Now Peter must find his kids with the help of Tinkerbell (Julia Roberts) and a whole new set of lost boys. But first, he must remember his past, before he can correct his future.

Ok, so maybe that gave it away a little for some of you, but that really is only the start of this movie!

Actors
The cast list is great! Robin......

bobo47170 says "the greatest kids movie ever" about Hook

Hook is a marvelous movie made even better by robin williams and dustin hoffman. I have seen several remakes of peter pan and Hook is by far the best. robin williams is excellent as a workaholic who doesn't believe in anything but work. Like most fathers he is so busy building a fortune that his family ends up neglected. When he goes to london with his family and his children are kidnapped by the infamous Hook he goes through a lot of denial that what he is seeing is anything other than his imagination. Through it all tink encourages the lost boys to help peter remember who he is....

GSmoke827 says "HIgh flying adventure, if a little modernized" about Hook

Peter Banning (Robin Williams) is afraid of hights and flying, loves his children less than he should, and cares more about his job than about his family. What Peter doesn't know is that his old foster mother, Granny Wendy (Maggie Smith) is the Wendy from the story of Peter Pan. Captain Hook (Dustin Hoffman) knows this, however, and when Peter and his family visit Wendy in London, he kidnaps Peter's children. Peter must go back to Never Never Land, remember who he is, learn how to be Peter Pan, overcome his fear of heights and flying, and rescue his children before Hook can brainwash them into loving him more than Peter.
This film has all the adventure Never Never Land should have. The film drags a little at the beginning, but once Peter Makes it to Never Land, the film flies. The lost boys have nearly trippled in number and are lead by Rufio (Dante Basco) who cannot fly, but can crow and fight like Peter could. Together the lost boys and Tinkerbell (Julia Roberts)...
...
