This humidifier was exactly what we needed. It not only helps to create the environment we need for our kids, but also is exceptionally quiet during operation. We placed a hygrometer (available at specialty stores for less than $25) in the "target" room to see if the humidifier was actually working and how long the humidity levels would remain where we desired them. Our results, though only done over a couple of days, showed that this model was exceptional at raising the huimidity level, then keeping it there.
...

The Honeywell 4 gallon Humidifier is highly reliable, and gives needed moisture to rooms. It is very quiet, and requires only low routine maintenance. I have used other brands, and they have broken down in one way or another after using for awhile, but the Honeywell Humidifier is here for the duration. you don't have to worry about it malfunctioning, it runs like a well oiled clock. It's 4 gallon capacity effectively moisturizes a room and you don't have to refill it all the time. I use one in every room in my house, excluding the bathrooms. I have a lotm of allergies and sinus problems in the winter, and dry heat in the winter from the furnace, always used to make them even worse, but with Honeywell Humidifier, I have been able to breathe better in the winter months, and not have to worry about sinus infections from dry furnace heat, or a dry throat and eyes from the furnace heat. The 4 gallon tank keeps every room moist and alleveates dry, uncomfortable to breathe air. I gave this...
...

We have tried numerous brands of humidifiers throughout our 30 yrs of home ownership and this Honeywell model is by far the absolute best we've owned. We have one for the first floor and one for the second floor and they have been operating nicely for years. We cannot say enough about the satisfaction this product has brought us.
...

The humidifier is good but the main thing is its filters. Its so hard to find. Without filters you can't use it so even it is good but after you don't have filter. Its of no use. We hardly found filter from amazon. One filter from amazon costs 8 dollars. So i won't recommend it....

nemesis099 says "Great Humidifier for those in need of a warm mist humidifier!" about Honeywell Humidifier - 4-gallon - HWM-450

I recently moved and the house I'm in does not have a furnace humidifier. So I went and purchased this warm mist model for the winter. So far we are very happy with its performance. We at first left it on all night but realized even in our large room that it was getting too humid so we now set it on 42 so it turns off and on as we need more humidity. This has been a terrific investment especially with colds where adding moisture seems to have helped immedieatly.

We have had a problem with it sometimes getting stuck at 20 on the humidistat and all you do is turn it off and let it cool down and it fixes the problem. We have not had this problem when we set it to a humidity level to turn off at.

I would and have recommended this product to friends partially because of its low price ($50 at Home Depot) and the fact that it can keep a large room humid something the little Vicks model we had couldn't do.
...
