This heater does a nice job heating a room at a reasonable price. It heats quickly and is safe to use. The heater was highest rated room heater by Consumer Reports, and has worked very well in the several months that we've owned it.

The heater has allowed us to keep our thermostat low at night and still keep our bedroom very warm. The main detractions are the size of the heater, and the difficulty in reading the digital display without turning on a light source.

I would recommend this heater for anyone that wants to heat a room efficiently and quietly, and wants to save on their heating bill.
...

I love this product. I can take that slight chill out of a room quickly, and without having to heat up the entire rest of the house. The heater allows me to control the temp, so that if I am warmer or colder its an easy change. I also like the fact that if I forget to turn it off, it will turn itself off. I would definately recommend this to a friend!...

I love the quiet warm heat of this space heater. Our small cozy den where we often spend the evening watching tv, does not require us to have the whole house toasty warm, but only to have this one room comfortable. As the midwest is having rain, and cold; and slippery and freezing roads, we feel content and satified in our nice little nook....

this heater is large but will not heat a room 8 x 8 over 68 degrees. For the size of the heater, I thought it would be great for this room. You can adjust the temperature higher and it will run all the time, but the room never gets above 68.

...

This is a basic portable heater. It worked OK in a small (10ft x 10 ft) room but really did not provide adequate heating in a larger space. It IS very expensive to run. During the dead of winter, my electric bill increase 3 fold all due to usage of this device....

I've had built in baseboard heaters before and loved them. When I saw there was a space heater version, I knew it would work well at keeping my room warm without costing me a fortune to run.

I enjoy the timer feature too, so I can feel safe leaving it on when I'm not the last one to leave in the morning. I don't have to worry that it's going to be on all day wasting energy.

I actually turned off my big gas wall heater which did nothing but heat a little spot around it and the vaulted ceiling waaayyy above my head.

I would buy this again.
...

I have a Beauty Salon & it was a garage so I needed baseboard heat without it taking up too much space. It is located under my hanging coat rack so my clients love having a warm coat to go out in! It serves its purpose more ways than one. It makes me happy, cost effecient, & my clients love the location in which I've put it!...

My parents purchased a home in Pennsylvania and the boiler broke down. They purchased 3 of the Honewell Honeywell Digital Low Profile Silent Comfort Heater HZ-519 by Kaz Inc. It is a great investment. It maintains the heat very well and it extremely quiet. I was glad my parents purchased the products 3 years ago....

This heater is low profile, stylish and sits close to floor. The danger of tip over is minimal. The only problem I had with this heater was the fact that if I was away and the electric blipped off, the heater needed to be reset. The settings were easy to see and set. The heater did not get hot to touch. The color is whte and fits in with most flooring. The low profile makes it easy to position in many areas. I have an animal and it did not seem to mind the heat. It was virtually noise-free....

I received this unit and two months later it was toast (no pun intended).

In the beginning, it worked well I used it to warm the basement recreation room. I set the thermostat at about 3/4 maximum and left it to work. It was also completely quiet as advertised.

Then sometime in January, I noticed that the On/Off knob was turning brown near the edges--as if discolored by excessive heat. I turned it off to investigate. Then turned it on again. Nothing. The unit was dead. After repeatedly turning it off and on I noticed sparking underneath the switch. After repeatedly spinning the switch between off/on it finally came back on and stayed on for 2 or 3 days until it failed again.

After about 10 days of this I unplugged for safety concerns. WHAT A GIANT HASSLE FOR A 55 DOLLAR HEATER! And don't doubt for a second that Honeywell COUNTS on people not wanting to hassle with returns.

Another example of an electronic device made as cheaply as possible with little or no regard for quality or......

This is a GREAT BUY!

I turn my gas heat down at night and use this in my bedroom to save heat and money.

Easy to use; digital read out; automatic shut off after 10 hours; silent heating; you set the temperature that you want maintained.

Shop around for this.
