I love my Pilot. I wouldnt trade it for any other car...it is the best out there.
Good gas mileage (for an SUV), very dependable, great safety and it rides perfect. I have gotten so many complements on this car. I have it in black and it looks very sharp!...

My husband & I purchased the highest trim possible (leather & navi with backup camera) and had several upgrades added including the 3M invisible bug guard/rock sheild. We think it is the most uncomfortable car we have ever owned. The 2008 Honda Pilot does lure you in while you are test driving, but once you own it and have been driving it for a month or two, you come to realize that the honeymoon period is over. But by then you are stuck with a vehicle you can trade or sell without losing your butt.
Cons:
- not so good gas mileage, but we were award of that ahead of time (we traded in a 2005 suburban that got the same gas mileage)
- the exterior paint chips so easily (we have the 3M invisible shield & exterior seal guard)
- the navigation unit is a piece of crap - if you are lucky 2 out of 10 inquiries/locations will be recognized and we live in Minneapolis/St Paul Metropolitan area
- the acceleration is very poor
- the engine has an annoying hum (service department says that is just the......

I was in a car accident with my Hyundai Sonata this year. Needing a new car I did a lot of research on what would be the safest car in my price range and was led to the Honda Pilot. What can I say about this car....I love it. I love the way it drives, nice and smooth. I have two kids who fit very comfortably in the backseat, and the cargo room even with the third row up is superb. I can't say enough about this car. The safety features are awesome and the feel of it is great too....Take one for a test drive, you will not be dissapointed....

The Honda Pilot has it all. And, the best part about it was that most features were included, not add-ons. They did some really smart things on this car, like make the middle seat adjustable. Not only could the kids tilt the seat back if they wanted to sleep, they could also move the seat forward to give the person in the third seat more leg room. Speaking of the third seat, an actual full grown human being can sit back there unlike some of the competitors. It is a great family car, comfortable, great to drive and good on gas for an SUV. Can't say enough about it....

I am a big fan of the Honda Pilot. It is a very good car to drive and always is a smooth ride. One reason that I really lke it over the rest of the suvs on the market is the fact that is has alot of room but it does not drive like a truck. The problem with alot of suvs out there is that they are that the ones that drive like cars are always too small especially for me because I am tall. The Pilot has 3 rows of seats but drives likes a car and gives a ton of room for everyone in teh car. The navigation system is really great as well especially with the new 3d view when getting off the highway....

TCollins says "My very first SUV, and I am so thankful the Pilot was it!!!" about Honda Pilot - 2008

I have always had a honda! My first was the regular 2006 civic, then I upgraded to the 2007 civic SI...and finally I decided the Pilot was where I should have started all along! I have two soon to be very big boxers (one will be about 100pds and the other at 60 when fully grown) and had been avoiding rplanning road trips home because my previous sedans just didnt offer the room for such long trips with them, my fiance and luggage! Now the kids (dogs) can lay down in the back when I put the third row seat down with plenty of room to play and sleep!

I have never loved a car more! I have not noticed any blind spots that I thought an SUV would have because the Pilot is surrounded with windows! The ride is smoother than either of my sedans and I feel powerful on the road.

I was nervouse about gas mileage but I just reached half a tank today and I've went a little of 200 miles!! Plus I am just excited I can now use regular gas and save some money! (the SI had to use high grade! :-/)...
...

My fellow Americans, if you are in the market for an SUV, please look no further. If you want an SUV that is smartly designed, handles great, has an outstanding drivers view of the road, gets good fuel economy for an SUV and is consistantly rated among the best in it's class by all auto reviewers under the sun, all you have to do is test drive the Pilot. No, I don't work for Honda. I bought my EX-L in March of 2008. Traded in my 05 Accord, needed more room to haul my wife's stuff. Wow, what a car.. And get this... my auto insurance WENT DOWN!! That was nice. I was told that an owner of a Pilot is less likely to get injured in a crash. With all the safety features and a 5 star crash test rating, it's easy to understand why. This is my third new Honda in the past 10 years. The other two were Accords.. The Honda name does not disappoint. Sure I could gush on.. Test drive an American made SUV, then the Honda.. Make your own judgement.

oh, yes it has day time...
...

The Honda Pilot Ex-L 2008 is my second Pilot and forsee me always driving one. It is a nicely equipped and nice looking vehicle. I love the quality of Honda vehicles even though I always drove American vehicles before, you just can not beat honda quality. This Pilot I upgraded to leather and love it, I dont think I could go back. Heated seats, powered moonroof, it is nice in any season. My husband complains because it isnt 'fun' to drive in the snow because of the Stability Assist, it is practically idiot proof!...

This is my third SUV. My first was a '96 Blazer....bad news! My second was a '98 Mercury Mountaineer....loved it (and still own it)!! So I was a bit apprehensive about moving to a Honda, but I'm totally satisfied with my decision. It has a smoother ride due to its unibody suspension and more traditional car tires (vs. knobby truck tires). It is noticeably larger both inside and out. I believe the wider track (by 8 inches) makes for better stability and a smoother, more car-like ride. The interior cargo area will handle 4-foot wide materials something I haven't seen since the days of the large station wagons. Some assessories are easily added by a DIY-type individual (side steps, luggage rack crossbars, etc.) thus saving the buyer some money. All and all after one month and a thousand miles I am very satisfied with the Honda Pilot. My first 600 mile long highway trip resulted in 23-24 mpg!! Not bad for a SUV.
...
