My husband bought me my Honda Pilot for my birthday back in 2007. It has been a wonderful SUV that is very roomy and comfy for long trips with the kids. It has a spacious back area and separate climate control so the persons in the back can use thier own heat or air. The few things that I wish were on the pilot are things you can do without but would be a great conveniece if they were on the automobile. Our pilot has been reliable and we really love the appearance. We test drove many other SUV's and they were not as roomy or have the smooth drive that this one does.
...

I have had my Pilot for a year now and owned one previously. I need the extra room for family , hauling groceries and large purchases that would not fit in a sedan. It drives smoothly and handles good, not as bumpy a ride as some other SUV'S. I will more than likely purchase another pilot when I decide to trade this one in. The one thing I am considering next time is one with a GPS system....

ShellieCarr says "Roomy as a mini-van but WAY cuter" about Honda Pilot - 2007

OK, let's face it - a minivan is never "cute" or "stylish" or even "fun to drive" but it's practical because you can fit six kids in the back and all the stuff that goes along with kids. If I didn't have kids, I probably wouldn't buy a Honda Pilot, but I do have kids and I wanted a car that was sportier, cuter and more fun to drive then the minivan I had before and I am very pleased with my Honda Pilot.

It's not great on gas mileage, but it's easy for my children to climb into the back, the doors are easy for them to operate and they can work all the seatbelts in the back seats, even the middle seat- belts.

I really like the way the car is porportioned (I do not have the nav-system in the car, i have a seperate GPS), everything is in a logic place. My husband drives a different kind of car and I think it's not proportioned properly for me - but anyway, I really like the center console between the front seats (my seat and the passenger) and it was good thinking the way that is put together...
...

My wife and i purchased the 2007 Pilot in April 2007 and love this vehicle..We used to have a 2006 Pilot. My wife got into a serious car accident with the 2006 Pilot. A 1 ton pickup truck broadsided her with my 3 year old daughter in the car.The truck hit on my daughters side, setting off the side curtain airbag. The steel beam on the side of the door where the accident occurred was still in tact. The Pilot was totaled, my wife and daughter walked away from the accident with a few bruises..So it was a no brainer to buy the 2007 Pilot..Thank You Honda for building such an outstanding vehicle..

David
...

We looked at plenty of SUV's before buying a 2007 Pilot EX-L without the navigation (why pay 2000 $ for a 400 $ GPS). This is a great SUV. We went on a road trip through Virginia with 4 kids below the age of 5. Enough room for 2 strollers, 1 cooler, plenty of duffels and 4 adults without issues. The 3rd row seat is slightly small for adults but the fact that the middle seat slides back and forth is a huge difference maker. We got >22 mpg while driving ~60 & 75 mph on the interstate. Well worth the money and a heckuva lot easier to move than a chevy....

After driving a Nissan Pathfinder for ten years I was in the market for a new car. I did not like the new model of Pathfinder so I set out to find an SUV that would provide stability on the road in ice and snow. I test drove a number of vehicles and settled on the Honda Pilot. The Pilot has handled extremely well on the hilly roads of Southeastern Ohio. Highway driving is a dream and for an SUV it is obtaining what I would consider excellent gas mileage. When the first snow of season hit I was concerned about the Pilot's ability to remain stable on the icy roads. I was overjoyed with the ability of the SUV on the road. It was stable and handled like a dream. I have two complaints however, first the center console has a lot of what I consider to be useless space. The center console has a sliding top to close off some of the space but that also takes the cup holders away. The second comment would be that although the SUV is reported to seat eight, the third row of seats...
...

I love my pilot - we upgraded to pur pilot from a 2001 Highlanderand there is a tremendous difference - the 3rd row seat is actually fnctional and can seat 2 adults - not the 2 munchkins that could possibly fit in the highlander. Dont bother getting the NAV system - much cheaper to buy a Garmin or Magellan. The in town gas mileage is a bit bad considering the EPA tags it at 18 mpg - we were breaking 15 barely - but the highway is definitely awesome - we averaged 23 on a trip to British Columbia (800 miles) The tank is large and gave a range of 380+miles. Highly recommend getting a DVD player to go on the backs of the head rests cause the Honda ones blocks the rear view window....

This is a great family car! We are a family of four with 2 carseats and we never feel cramped in our Honda Pilot. We have a huge stroller that easily fits in the back. The third row of seats is very comfortable however I don't recommend a full-grown male to sit back there, especially for long distances. We have never had any problems with this car...and it drives great. Has all the pros of being an SUV, but drives easily like a car. Nice dash and I love all the pockets everywhere...this is especially convenient when you have small children. I would highly recommend the Honda Pilot to anyone....

I love my 2007 Honda Pilot. It's so easy to drive! i feel like I'm sitting above the traffic without having to scale the vehicle to get in! I have piled my son's friends in multiple times for outings and everyone has plenty of room. no squished buns here! The only thing I wish was better is the gas milage, but what SUV owner doesn't? Overall, it's a great vehicle to own....

Even though Honda does not haggle costs with you as much as other car manufacturers, it is so worth buying a Honda! I leased my Pilot and only after 1 week, I started talking about buying it! A full grown adult can sit in the way back. I wouldn't recommend it for long distances but for a trip to soccer practice or the store, it is acceptable. I just love all of the little "pockets" and compartment space that the Pilot has.

It is truly a wonderful vehicle and I would give it two thumbs up and recommend it to anyone!...

The Pilot is my first SUV after having driven mostly quick, sporty coupes. I was looking for an SUV because my growing family had outgrown the coupe. This is the third Honda we have owned, and I don't think we'll ever get a non-Honda vehicle because in our experience, with regular maintenance, Hondas last forever.

As with any non-hybrid SUV, the Pilot's gas mileage is not great. And it can feel a little bit lumbering as it goes up steep hills. However, when it's not having to work too hard (i.e., when it's on level ground, travelling at a steady speed) the engine switches to running on four cylinders instead of six. I figure it must be saving a little bit of gas then, so I do feel a tad bit less guilty at the pump.

I researched all the SUV choices out there for the '07 model year before finally selecting the Pilot, and during my search I kept coming back to the Pilot for a number of reasons. First, the side-curtain airbags extend all the way to the back of the car,...
...

I've never owned a Honda before (although my husband has) and it was time to trade in my van. The kids are getting older so I felt I needed to "graduate" to something more grown-up. I chose the Honda Pilot and have not regretted that decision yet! It is so luxurious and comfortable but it's the safety features that I love! Airbags all around, the passenger seat automatically detects the weight of the passenger in case it is a child and shuts off the front airbag. It also detects if either front passenger is wearing their seatbeat and "alarms" you until it is put on. This might be annoying to some but it will SAVE YOUR LIFE!!

It drives stupendously with very little road noise. There is no "engine noise" like my previous Chrysler had. It has so much room with the third row passenger seating and allows eight to sit very comfortably -- as long as you aren't extraoridinarily tall!! I'm 5'10" and have no trouble in either row although I'm am primarily the driver.

It's been a wonderful...
...
