lgas says "The best family mini van on the road is the Honda Odyssey" about Honda Odyssey - 2005

We bought a one year old used 2005 Honda Odyssey three years ago. It has been the greatest family van ever! The only service it ever needs is oil changes- and the van actually tells you when that needs to be done- it has a service light. And guess what- the oil doesn't need to be changed every three thousand miles like the oil and lube places make you believe- my van requires an oil change approximately every six thousand miles. You can see the oil life of the current oil but scrolling through the odometer so its easy to see whn that oil change is coming! I drive seven kids to school every day 20 miles away, and I love the fact that this van is an eight passenger van- it sure helps with carpooling! We were debating between a large SUV and a Honda Odyssey. Gas prices made us decide on the Odyssey and I have never looked back- unfortunately someday our children will be teenagers and may not fit so comfortably in this vehicle, but until then we will be Honda Odyssey owners!
...

I was against mini-vans for all the same reasons most people are. However, my husband finally convinced me to get one and we wound up getting a used 2005 one last year. It is now my all time favorite car! I wish I had gotten one before we had kids. It drives really well, has so much space, is great for traveling and for hauling big items, has lots of storage space and cup holders and is really kid friendly.
...

its an amazing car with the luxury and style priced just right, i love the cruise ocntrol to save gas, heated seats and best of all it has held its market value even in the last 4 yrs. tat we have owned it for.this is an amazing car with a lot of power , even though the fuel consumption is on the higher side, the speed and and the pick up is reall good. its very comfortable to drive it. we have done a comparison between and lexus and bmw basc models this car beats them hands down.

we have a big family with kids we all can fit in very comfortably with a twin stroller and a single stroler, we don t use the last 2 seats but when we do, its ok for hte little kids to sit at the back not very comfortable for adults or young adults. we got this car beacuase of the style and price which is not very high for luxury cars. we would definitely recommend this car to friends and family. we love it.
...

We live in Illinois and drove to Ohio to get our Odyssey. We have the 2005 touring edition. It rides so comfortably. The only complaint I have is the wind noise......it's not terrible but it's definitely there. Our kids love the DVD player. I love that it can be controlled from the front seat. I've seen other entertainment systems that only have controls on the unit itself which makes it very hard to set up and run for the driver. This van has so many options......GPS, heated seats, dual climate control, steering wheel controls for the radio (which includes XM satellite), cruise control and voice activated commands. My son loves that he can charge his Nintendo DS right in the car while he's playing it.....no more whining about the DS dying while we're on a road trip! You can open the back passenger doors with the remote or from inside the vehicle. The storage area in the "trunk" is huge compared to most other vans. The 60/40 split seats in the back make hauling larger...
...

This van is comfortable and a pleasure to drive. It is nice to use with the kids and having the DVD play on long trips makes it so much easier!!! Of course the service at the dealership is excellent which is a nice plus. I am used to basic cars so getting this van was like luxury for me...especially the heated seats....

The Honda Odyssey is the best car that I have owned. I love the cup holders everywhere - I think there are 9.

This car is easy to drive and doesn't break down even though I am hard on cars.

My Odyssey does have a change holder. I cannot think of any negatives about the Honda Odyssey.
...

mjay says " I love my van, not only is it roomy and drives live a dream." about Honda Odyssey - 2005

I love my Odyssey. It is stylish ( for a van), drives like a dream, has power side doors, side windows that open, and is roomy enough for my family of five. Nobody has to sit next to on another if they don't want to. Also the van sits 8 passengers, which is great for carpooling to school or after school activities. Very comfortable for long car rides. Huge cargo area even with all the seats up. Back seat folds down to give you a gigantic cargo area. I have put 4 bikes in the back (before I got my bike rack). I love my van and you will too. Only complaint is the fabric in the van. It is light in color and with kids gets dirty easily.

...
