I have often admired the Quality that Home Depot puts into their products. Weither if you are a do - it - yourselfer or someone just needing quality products at a reasonable cost, I think Home Depot products are the best buy. I have found personally that they have the best products over the other big named company. I have bought a few cabinets and installed them myself, also I have bought shelves, and even my computer desk from them.

The staff is always helpful and if they do not have the answer themselves, they always find someone that can answer the questions you ask. There has never been a time I went in without someone asking me if I needed help with anything.

I have always enjoyed going to Home Depot for all my needs. I have bought products to build things myself, and also products that I could put together for my self. I always have a positive time shopping there.

I think that they have the best attitude no matter what it is you seek; from buying tools, lumber, paint or just sandpaper!...
...

Home Depot is one of my favorite "do-it-yourself" stores. They have everything you need to fix any problem you have. My wife and I just had our kitchen redone by Home Depot and they did a great job and the price was amazing. We did have some problems, but they made it right and to me that's very important that they make their customers happy. I really recommend Home Depot for all your home improvement needs....

Home Depot, is a nice store, the only trouble is the help. They act like they are doing you a favor by waiting on you. You go to ask question the sales person doesn't know, but they'll ask someone, and they never come back.

There cabinets are really nice, but when you go back to talk to the sales person, they are on the phone and they stay on the phone. I was going to buy some for my garage, but they didn't act liked they cared.
...

Never buy your kitchen from a big Home Improvement Store. The salespeople are justs that sales people they are not designers and have no idea about the other things involved in designing, for example lighting, plumbing, construction matters...... They may get your kitchen within your budget but when it arrives you realize key pieces are missing... Wainscot or trim and they didn't tell you thats how it came in at budget. I could go on and on....
...

My husband and I designed a modern kitchen, replacing everything except the flooring. Home Depot was wonderful in helping us design the cabinetry, choosing the best value for the money, and staying within out budget while providing good quality and very eye appealing cabinets.

We opted to install them ourselves, not something just anyone could do without the right tools and patience, but saved a good amount of money by doing so.

Home Depot was terrific in helping us achieve the basic design we wanted, including a wrap around counter into the family room with a desk and hutch above the desk to blend in with the kitchen. I couldn't be happier, and we received so many compliments on a job well done by both us and Home Depot!
...

Careful not to draw attention to yourself - after all, you've read all the horror stories, watched all the TV exposures and everywhere you go in search of your dream kitchen you feel a little like a lamb being led to the slaughter.

Have you entered the lion's den?
Peekaboo819 says "Great cabinets - used our own contractor for installation" about Home Depot Custom Cabinetry

We used our own contractor, because we've had bad experiences with Home Depot subcontractors in the past.

The cabinets we ordered came in rather quickly (approx. 2 1/2 weeks). Two of the doors were the wrong size, and the re-order came in in about a week. The color and quality were perfect.

The only real problem that we've had is that the little pieces of rubber you put on the doors so that they close quietly are simply attached with adhesive backing (you have to put these on yourself). They also tend to come off quickly -- ours started falling off within a year of normal use. Of course, they're easily (and cheaply) replaceable, but it's still a minor pain to have to keep reapplying the little pads.

Otherwise, the quality and appearance are terrific!
...

Wonderful cabinets, designed by the best in the business, at least here in Fenton. Helpful in placement and look. The designer worked endless hours with me to get these cabinets to fit just perfectly in my country style home, which by the way is not new, nor are the walls straight and plumb (as he called them) making it much more of a job than what we had originally planned. But it was well worth the time and effort that he and we spent on the project since Home Depot has a good reputation, we felt it would be the best place to at least start on the project and go to other places from there after getting a quote. But after they measured and we sat down with them we soon realized that here was much more to this project than we had thought. And Home Depot personnel here in Fenton, MI were able to acomplish the goal we had in mind and the job came out perfect....with time to spare before Christmas and the huge party we are throwing to show off our new kitchen cabinets and countertops! We have...
...

Home Depot takes you through all phases of kitchen remodel. They sub contract out for kitchen install. There where many mistakes made on bid and installers didnt always know who was to do certain aspects of electrical and plumbing work. Be diligent in keeping track of what gets done, dont rely on the bid, there will be mistakes and things will get missed. Once everything is finally finished you will have a beautiful kitchen....
