I bought a Holmes heater for my husband's office because it is at the front of our home and always cold during the winter. It does great to keep him comfortable, not to warm or cool. We bought a second one for a bedroom and it also works great keeping the room warm and toasty. Love it and works great!

bought this heater HCH4051W for my daughter for Xmas. the objective was to keep her, the boyfriend and my two beautiful grand daughters (aged 3 1/2 & 4 mo.s) warm in their bedroom (older 3-decker, no central heat). within 7 days, this heater melted and could have caught the house on fire, taking the lives of my loved ones (and some others)! the heater was used in a normal fashion, only when needed and was not in any way damaged when it was purchased-for $17 at Walmart. I brought the burned up heater back to the store so they could see what had happened but refused a refund-i'm waiting for a class action lawsuit against Holmes or their parent company and i'm keeping the evidence! has anyone else had a problem with this specific product? took photos also but can't enter them on this computer. i actually live a short drive from this company, maybe i'll give them a visit. Walmart is not going to remove this dangerous product from their shelves without a recall......

I WORK IN A VERY COLD WAREHOUSE AND HAVE THIS HEATER UNDER MY DESK, IT IS A VERY GOOD HEATER AND DOES NOT TAKE UP ANY SPACE. IT HAS A VERY STRONG HEAT FLOW AND I LOVE IT....

I purchased this little heater in 2001, and it's still going strong. We use it in our bathroom on frosty northeastern mornings in the Autumn and winter.

Within less than 5 minutes, the Holmes Ceramic space heater will sufficiently warm a 12' x 12' area. There are a variety of settings, and I don't think in our smaller bathroom I've ever turned the settings to "high".

The heater I have is an ocillating model, a feature I've just now discovered no longer works on my aged heater, (I never used it, so this is a moot point for me). There is a bit of a flimsy little filter in the back, encased in an easily removed housing for the purpose of cleaning, or replacement of said flimsy filter. It's necessary to wash this thin filter regularly for optimum performance. I just rinse mine off with warm water and let it air dry, pop it back in and snap on the lid.

Maybe it's a bit much to ask, but I hope this unit lasts forever. I've never seen a reasonably priced area space heater work so...

I love my Holmes ceramic heater, all the control options allow me to choose the perfect temperature for my space. It's so small it fits perfectly under my desk and keeps me toasty all day....

I brought this product mostly because it was on sale. But to my surprise it turn out to be a great buy. Not only is it compact and dosen't take up much room, but it's powerful. I recommend this heater for people who want to heat up their office space and moderate size rooms....
