I got the Homedics Brethe after seeing it in a store display...while being in one of those, "oh why not? I'll try something different" types of moods. I was pleasantly surprised by the product- it really does seems to clean the air in my house. It DEFINITELY gets rid of odors. I enjoyed the scents that came with the machine...vanilla, lime, and citrus. All are good-smelling without being over-whelming. The machine is fairly quiet, and the light-up feature is a nice bonus.

After about a month, I purchased the full size oils, this time lavender and citrus. I was a little surprised at the cost of the scents- about fifteen dollars each. One bottle will last about a month if you use the machine every day.

While this is an innovative, well-working product, it is a little pricey for what it actually accomplishes; the machine itself is approximately $50 dollars, and each scent additive ranges from $10 to $15 dollars.

I bought the HoMedics Brethe Air Revitalizer hoping that my boyfriend might be able to breathe better at night. I figured if he wasn't stuffed up and I wasn't listening to him breathe, maybe we could both rest better. We really like this product and it does what we wanted, he is sleeping much better and so am I. The scents are okay. The lavender scent didn't not come with my machine (though I wish it had), and we don't mind the lime, but the other scents remind me of cleaning products. Luckily you don't have to use them, and we typically don't at night. When we keep the air revitalizer in our bedroom with the door shut, the difference in the air inside the bedroom and outside of the bedroom is startling. We also notice that it works well to purify the air of our entire apartment. I haven't noticed the water becoming dirty but my apartment is new and kept very clean; I also don't have any pets. The blue light is optional, so you don't have to worry about it bothering you. The machine...

First of all i would like to offer you this great product call the Homedics Brethe Air Revitalizer . At first i thought this wasn't one of the greatest product but when i started using it i thought it was a great and fine product that would allow people to breath clean and fresh air not only for great repiration but very good for the health environment that surround us everyday keeping you feel better all day long good when having stuffing nose prevent from breathing germs.The Homedics Brethe Air Revitalizer is easy to clean and easy to use just add warm water every time and watch it move alot of around your home.

The homedic air air purefier is adequate for roomsize air pureification but not large enough for whole house use , The effective range of the unit is about the size of a childs bedroom. This unit should not replace a a product that uses heppia or ozone type of filtration....

This is a very good product. I like the fact you dont have to buy filters and it has a great scent. It really draws the dust out of the air. You can actually tell your home is fresher and the air cleaner within a day. I highly reccomend this product....

This little machine is a real gem. We have four dogs and this machine keeps our air sweet smelling thoughout the day. Well worth the $60 we paid for it It even gives off a pretty blue light glow. I'm planning on buying a second machine for my bedroom and perhaps even a third!...

This product workd for a limited amount of time, but is not worth even half of tthe price, which was $60. The oils that you add to the water smell great, but they don't last long and are expensive to replace. The machine is noisy and will cause a sound issue if you plan on using it inn a living area where conversation or television is occurring. he best thing about the Air Revitalizer is the clean scent which I believe could be obtained cheaper, smaller and less noisy.

I am thoroughly disappointed with the overall performance although I will continue to use it at night in my bedroom. It is a great sound machine and provides freshness in the room where my pets sleep with me. It would not be great for larger areas.

Just the Facts: The Homedics brethe is a small machine that consists of a clear plastic bowl on a wide pedestal with a motorized lid that causes the water and scent in the bowl to swirl around and cleanse and scent household air.

I suffer from allergies and asthma and our two cats, fireplace, and gas forced heat dry me out and irritate my lungs. I bought the brethe machine hoping that it would help to cleanse and freshen the air in my home and add some much needed humidity to the air as well.

After just a few uses I decided to send the brethe back to QVC as the only thing it did was fill my house with the unpleasant scent of the botanical liquids it came with. My unit came with botanical scents in lavender, lime, vanilla, and citrus. All of them smelled pretty bad in the bottle but lime and lavender smelled better than the others so I tried those first.

I had purchased the Homedics Brethe after reading the reviews on this site. As the owner of two cats, and living in New England, I experience very dry air in my home in the winter. Homedics includes three botanical scents with this machine: Lime, Citrus and Vanilla. The Citrus was the only scent that was pleasurable. Vanilla really didn't smell like vanilla at all. I couldn't tell you what it smelled like, just that it didn't smell good. I will say that the Lime scent at first, smelled OK, but it did leave a not so pleasant after smell. The only way that I could describe it is: kind of like the after taste from a diet soda. The price of these botanical scents, should you like them, and want to purchase more, is in my opinion, rather high: $14.99 per 2.03 oz. bottle. All in all, I think this is a good product, and would have given a five star review, and recommend to a friend, if the scents were more appealing, and reasonably priced!...

This product works great & does what it advertises. The smell isn't the greatest, but it's tolerable & much better than smelling pet odors, smoke odors, cooking odors, etc. I thought I'd like the vanilla scent the best, but it's actually the worst scent. I prefer the lime above any of them. It isn't the quietest machine, but it's not unbearable....

The Brethe Air Revitalizer is definitely a product worth trying. It's very cost effective at only around $60 compared to other air purifiers on the market that are around $200+. I would definitely recommend this product over the Ionic Breeze. I have owned an Ionic Breeze for over a year now (paid around $300 for it), and while it does take dust/dirt particles out of the air, it definitely doesn't MOVE very much air and it's a pain to clean.

The Brethe Air Revitalizer is very easy to use and clean. You just fill up the bowl with water to the fill line (I like to use purified/distilled water instead of regular tap) replace the top, and push a button and it will clean the air for 24 hours. You do need to empty and replace the water at least every 24 hours, as it gets dirty and the water level decreases after it's been running for a while.

It also comes with 4 different essential oils: vanilla, citris, lime, and lavender that you can add to the water to diffuse the scent throughout...
