If you have allergy prone dog this is the food to buy! I have two Boston Terriers and my male is allergic to chicken, beef, and yeast. It is very hard to find food that is not an outrageous price, although this isn't the cheapest, it is reasonable. I am a bzz agent and received Hills science diet natures best for my Scottish & Carin terrier and to try. My Scottie is a very picky eater, the dog will not even touch a low fat slice of cheese (he knows the difference)! However he quickly took to the new food. I am excited to try this food out due to the fact it is made with quality ingredients. My little boy has allergies so a quality food with pure ingredients is a must at our house! Natures best comes in 5 different varieties so that is helpful to avoid allergy triggers. They do have ingredients such as chicken, soybean meal, egg, grains, carrots, peas, broccoli, apples, cranberries, flaxseed, soybean oil, and vitamins E & C. Ingredients are grown on farms here in North America and the meets are USDA inspected. Hills Scieance Diet can be purchased in bags that range in 4 lbs - 30 lbs depending on the variety you select. Nature's Best is a great food for your dog. No byproducts, corn, or wheat. Also, since I started feeding it to my Aussie, her hair is much softer. I think it is the pork fat. She's never had food with that in it before. There is also a chicken flavor. She loves both....

During a recent pet store visit, I struck up a conversation with the Science Diet rep. I was concerned about my 16-year-old cat's diet. My little cutie pie (aka 9-year-old miniature poodle) was with me so, of course, it didn't take long for the conversation to be all about him. When I mentioned that he's crazy for raw veggies and comes running when he hears chopping in the kitchen, she offered us a small sample bag of Science Diet Nature's Best lamb and brown rice dinner (small bites). He absolutely loved it, so back I went two days later for a larger bag.

He has always eaten another brand high-quality dog food, so I hadn't worried about his diet. And at 9-years-old, hadn't worried about him behaving older and slower. Well, after a week, both my husband and I were commenting on our puppy being back. Sure, he sleeps all day, but the playful, craziness is back when he is up and around. His eyes, as well as his attitude, just seem brighter.

I find that the best way to tell the quality of a dog food is by the appearance of my dogs's coats. When I switched my 2 greyhounds from Wal-Mart brand dog food over to Science Diet Lamb & Rice small bites I saw a significant improvement in their coats and overall health. Additionally they prefer smaller chunks to the large ones.
