http://www.viewpoints.com/Hewlett-Packard-PhotoSmart-D7260-Printer-reviews Fri, 22 Aug 2008 15:30:01 GMT Latest reviews about Hewlett Packard PhotoSmart D7260 Printer http://www.viewpoints.com/Hewlett-Packard-PhotoSmart-D7260-Printer-review-a9872 <p>I purchased the HP Photosmart D7260 to replace a 10+ year old HP inkjet and have very pleased with my purchase.  I have always liked HP products and this printer is no exception.  From everyday document printing to 4x6 photos, this printer provides excellent quality at a great price.  Below are a few of the stand out features that influenced my purchase of this product.</p><p>The HP name is almost synonymous with inkjet technology and availability.  I knew that I would be able to find ink for this printer just about anywhere PC's are sold.</p><p>The built in ethernet was a must have for me.  It allows me to share the printer with all the other PC's in the house through my wireless router.  In fact, this was the key feature that swayed my purchase.</p><p>The new six cartridge ink system is a nice money saver when it comes time for new cartridges.  Instead of buying a single $40 plus color cartridge, I now only have to spend $10 on the color that I need.</p><p>I have not yet used the other connectivity features...</p>... We've always had two printers: one for "regular" stuff and the other just for photos. We very much liked our Hewlett Packard Photosmart 1115, but after four or so years of being a workhorse, it started to go through ink like it was water. When it started to leave smudges on the prints, we decided it was time to get a new model.</p><p>We looked at several stores and even more brands, finally ending up at Staples and seeing the HP Photosmart D7260. I complained to the sales clerk about having to replace so many different cartridges; he pointed out, wisely, that the cost of replacing all of them was comparable to what we'd been paying and we'd need only to replace one at a time -- at $9.99 each -- since colors aren't used in equal amounts with photo printing.</p><p>Sold! And at just under $100, we were happy with the price -- and more important, we'ree happy with the results. The color...</p>...
