We bought the HP Photosmart printer to go with the HP digital camera and took it to Alaska, Canada and across the southwest with different family members. It was so convenient to print pictures as we went and give them to people instead of waiting to print them later. The pictures are clear and color is good. You can print from the camera with the connecting cord or from a memory card and it lets you preview the picture on a small display on top of the Photosmart printer. You can skip pictures, delete them or print them. The photo sheets that come with it are good quality and we've used different brands, both matte finish and glossy and they both work in the printer. They print quickly and with good color. the toner cartridge is anywhere from $10 - $20. We bought a cartridge in Alaska at a Radio Shack for $10 but it didn't last very long, so you get what you pay for. All in all it is very convenient and easy to use.

Hp came out the photo value packs to help consumers with price and value. When you price out the photo paper and the ink separately it shows the value packs has value. The paper in it self usually retails about $12 for a 100 pack and most packs include 150 4X6 photo paper. The biggest con is the inks are NOT full. There is usually enough to print all the photo paper in the pack. So the number paper that is included in the pack is an indication how many paper it will print....

The Hewlett Packard photosmart A616 was a perfect purcahse for us. Photos transfer from variuos memory cards, or can be dowloaded via USB cable. LCD display on the printer allows for editing one the printer. Various layout selections allow for single prints or multiple print in a two-up, three-up, four up style. This printer runs smart and clean right out of the box. Very user friendly. Even my Mom - who is not the most tech savvy - is printing right from camera to printer and getting top quality prints on HP photo paper. The single ink cartridge last for at least 100 prints or more. I am very happy with this purchase and have recomended this to many friends....
