I bought my HP G60 earlier this year and am still in love with it every time I use it! The HD screen makes for a beautiful movie viewer if I find myself away from a TV, and the speakers make it easy to use this notebook as my portable stereo. The keyboard is relatively quiet and very large, including a full numerical keyboard on the right, which I find VERY useful if I'm doing bills online!

The mouse touch-pad is highly responsive, and the built-in scrollbar on the right is so incredibly useful, I'd be lost without it! The keys are durable and the keyboard is easy to navigate. The battery life is decent if you turn down the brightness of the screen when it's not plugged in, I've gotten at least 2-3 hours out of it. Offline is a different story, this thing will last forever.

The memory can be upgraded to 4G, which is more than enough for your standard laptop. I am running on 3G of memory and my computer is much faster than any laptop I've previously owned. The internet starts right...

I stay at home and manage a family of 7, I pay my bills, manage accounts, keep up with friends, make doctors appointments, review work, make money basically I live my life through my computer and this computer makes it easier for me the keys click so easy and the screen is so big I love it, i've had offers from people to buy it but even though I know I can always buy another I just don't want to part with it. I also love that it's not expensive, I broke the screen a month after I got it and was able to buy the screen for less than 200 dollars and replace it myself. I have a busy two year old that keeps taking off the keys and they are easily replaced and work perfectly, no sticking what so ever. Did I mention I love the screen it is so big and bright I watch movies on it when the kids over run the house and take over everything else I know I still got my hp waiting for me and only me everyone knows that.

The HP G60 235DX laptop is one of the most awesome computers I have had the opportunity to work and have fun on. I have learned a lot about working with the programs and software available on this and am still learning on a daily basis. This is a computer I would definitely recommend to even a beginner. This computer is one of the easiest to navigate and to build confidence in a strict beginner. It has wonderfully easy software as far as writing letters, resumes and any other writing necessary. This powerful gadget downloads music, software, photos and many other items deemed worthy. It has built in antispyware, spam blocker and virus protection. I should state here that one needs to at least have an idea of what they want to accomplish with this or any computer. You can always upgrade you memory on this system by adding flash drives, hard drives or system drives and make it more capable of holding all the information you require i.e music, photos, emails just about...

This computer is great. Very user friendly and is great with the added number keypad on the side. The keypad is much different and a very nice feeling on te finger tips. I love the ability to turn the mouse on/off with the touch of a button. I thought with the silver type finish, that it would show lots of finger prints but that's not the case. Comes with Windows Vista. Highly recommended.

I bought my G60 refurbished from Overstock, and I am very happy with it!

Screen is large and bright (even on power save I can read it well on the train.) Processing speed is good for its generation, graphics are good, and the feel of the keyboard is excellent.

Battery life seems to be fair, but I'm always running a USB device, so I know its sucking down power. My only real regret is that it's hard drive is a little small. It seems Im having to constantly manage things off to an external drive.

this laptop's screen is very fragile i read lots of article on the net about this issue.
I bought my HP g60-235DX laptop 3 months ago, which was working fine but that one evening the LCD screen cracked when i opend my laptop. i called HP they said warranty doesn't cover the screen, funny thing is he said that this was an accident we wont cover :-) opening my laptop, how this can be accident... i paid $600 for this and now i am trying to seel it on ebay for 100 bucks.. i do like HP products and i am also veryyyyy disappointed..Thank you HP :(

It took several days and lots of research to reach a decison on the purchase of a laptop computer. I found the reputation of the Hewlett Packard Company to influence my decision on my recent purchase of my laptop computer. I enjoy a 16.0" (16.9 diagonal) widescreen display and comes with a built in web cam. Help and support features came installed in my Hewlett Packard laptop along with several trial offers for such things as a Norton antivirus program, Quicken, and Microsoft Office.

This product is everyrhing i have hoped for in a laptop computer and more. It has a numeric keyboard on the side next to the alphabet keyboard, a feature that I really wanted. And Hewlett Packard offers a host of games installed, I have only had time to try a few of them so far, but again, the larger screen is much easier on my eyes for games or surfing the web. Hewlett Packard was easy on the budget too. I found it for less that $500 on sale. A Purchase I have not once regretted.

The HP G60-235 DX is my first laptop I bought in Febuary 2009. It has a 16.0" diagonal widescreen, and is optimized for hdtv. Has 320 GB hard drive that is a big plus for me.I have not been able to use all the programs on it yet, but so far I love it. The only thing that is the volume is lower and not as loud than i'm used to. But since this is my first laptop, maybe that is how all of them are. I searched many laptops before buying this one, and this one had the most features for it's price. And a plus is it has a webcam. Not all laptops that was in my price range had a webcam offered. The battery seems to be good and doesn't drain fast. I usually keep it charging all day, unless I take it to other rooms. What I also like about it also that it's not too big and not too small. I haven't tried the direct disk labeling yet, but looking forward to trying it. Overall this is a great laptop computer, with a great price

There are so many good point here below I'll list just a few. First I'd like to say that the tech service at hp is by far superior to any tech service that I have ever enciuntered.

Pros: I love the 350G hard drive and 3G starting RAM. The design is very clean and simple. I am full-time employed and I live on the computerI would be lost without it. I have a lot going on and this is just the "work horse" laptop with extras I was looking for.

Cons: The only thing I'd add to it would be keypad volume controls. Or so I thought after futher review even that's there so I have no complaints.

Summary:

The HP G60-235DX is an excellent computer. I don't have any complaints; really just a few minor extras that would have been nice if included. It's a bit slow to start-up but still, it only takes a couple minutes so it's very minor. Other than that I have nothing negative to say. It's listed for an amazing price and if you're looking for a sleek laptop that's more than adequate for the average...
