      <description>&lt;p&gt;I rented a car from the Hertz agency at Ginnheimer Strasse 4 in Ramstein (just off the Army Post) for roughly one month in October 2009. I got a nice midsize Mercedes that ran beautiully all over Europe.&#160; It came with its own GPS and had all of the nice little perks--seat warmers, rear windshield wiper, automatic lights, etc. Plus the price was reasonable.&#160; So all in all, I was a satisfied customer...&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;...until I got home. I received an invoice from Hertz telling me my credit card had been charged for an addition 23.80 Euro.&#160; I checked my credit card bill and saw that I had actually been charged TWICE!&#160; When I called the rental car placein Germany about this, I was hung up on. So I called the Hertz Customer service number and was informed that the charges were for two (supposed) separate speeding incidents that occurred while I was in Germany. Apparently I had run into one of those automatic speed cameras and it recorded my license plate. HOWEVER, I was not being charged for the actual...&lt;/p&gt;... </description>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;I have completed 5 car rentals from HERTZ in the past year.&#160; Only once did I receive the car reserved.&#160; The other times, the car reserved was &quot;not available&quot;.&#160; In each case I was given a smaller/cheaper car for the reserved price.&#160; In each case the car was filthy.&#160; I had to clean the windows, as visibility was non-existent.&#160; The cheap cloth seats were covered in dog hair, and in one case, a used condom was above the visor!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Think AVIS is any better!&#160; No way same experience with them too!&lt;/p&gt;... </description>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;I recently went on a week long vacation and decided to use Hertz as my rental car company.&#160; I feel I chose right:-)&#160; It was less expensive than all the other rental car agencies!&#160; They have a very nice and understanding staff with great customer service skills.&#160; I would recommend Hertz rental agency to anyone who is on a friendly budget like me but who also like to enjoy a long road trip with family or friends:-)&lt;/p&gt;... </description>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;wife put car in body shop at 10:15am hertz was on location,eight days later picked car up 9:15am was told that car was returned before 10:15am would be charged for eight days and everything was taken care by insurance.&#160;&#160; well a month later received bill from hertz they showed car returned at 11:59pm and charged for nine days,insurance paid for day that we did not have car. and they wanted me to pay $29.78 for some license fee and taxes.called customer service said too bad insurance paid for extra day i still owe these made up fees.&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; thats why i say greedy and never again!!!&lt;/p&gt;... </description>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;My first &#160;rental car &#160;was from Hertz in Crescent City. The car from Hertz &#160;was &#160;very small. I had been in a car accident and needed to go to my Dr. &#160;several hundred miles away . There was no way I could have&#160;ridden&#160;in a car that size all the way to my Dr. I didn't know Hertz &#160;could rent out &#160;such a small car!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&#160;So my first and only experience with Hertz really didn't do me any &#160;good because the car was so small, and Hertz didn't have any larger ones.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&#160;&#160;I was very let down, and I would not&#160;recommend&#160;the local Hertz to anyone. The only reason I gave 3 stars is because the lady that waited on me was very nice, and she made up for Hertz not having very many cars.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;My first and only &#160;experience with renting a car at the local &#160;Hertz was a bad experience. &#160;Hopefully&#160;if I ever need to rent another car from Hertz &#160;in Crescent City it will be a much bigger car and I &#160;won't need &#160;to go to a San Francisco&#160;Physician! &#160;&#160;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Basically, I was charged 15 dollars &quot;service&quot; fee from platepass for using the toll roads from Denver International Airport to Broomfield Colorado. (which I paid for manually). This is an agreement I did not sign up for (or according to Platepass I did sign based on the contract) (Partly I can blame myself for not reading every fine print on the contract I sign but human decency says you let your customers know about Platepass before they sign the contract). It is not about the money but the fact that I was not aware that I signed this agreement from Hertz.. I never had this issue with another car rental company and will not rent from Hertz again.&lt;/p&gt;... </description>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;I always thought Hertz was a well know company for thier prices and service.&#160; WOW was I wrong.&#160; I reserved my vehicle through an online reservation company.&#160; The prices seemed fine, until I got there. Then I found out about the large deposit they wanted from me.&#160;&#160;And I didn't have a credit card; which many people don't now a days.&#160; So I had to take cash from my vacation money to pay for the deposit.&#160; Then, when it comes time to turn in the vehicle, they don't keep cash in their drawers.&#160; They tell me it will be 7-10 days before they mail me a check for the amount.&#160; Still waiting after 10 days....&#160;&#160;DON'T rent with&#160;Hertz! Stay far away.&#160; Horrible customer service.&#160;&lt;/p&gt;... </description>

      <description>I was very impressed with Hertz Rental Car in Huntsville.  I needed a truck, and they took my debit card.  Especially since I do not deal with credit cards.  The web site was very easy to use.  So check-in was even simplier.  I like it simple.  My only dislike was that I live in Cullman county.  While there is a Hertz Rental in Decatur, they did not have a truck at that location.  So I had to drive to Huntsville.  I used to do business with Enterprise, but since they changed there policy of not accepting debit card, I will refuse to do business with them.  Believe me I usually rent a vechicle at least 2 to 3 time a year if not more.... </description>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;I belong to an organization that has an agreement with Hertz for an automatic 5% discount on any rental in the U.S., so I always used to book with them when I traveled for business.&#160; Despite a few overly-pushy rental counter people (but that happens with any brand), I always had great experiences - easy access to rental sites, great service, fantastic automobiles, and reasonable rates.&lt;/p&gt;&amp;#13;
&lt;p&gt;That changed last fall.&lt;/p&gt;&amp;#13;
&lt;p&gt;On a trip to New Hampshire, my colleague and I arrived at the rental counter and were told that it would be a &lt;strong&gt;1 HOUR WAIT&lt;/strong&gt; on the car I had reserved 2 months in advance.&#160; (Reason?&#160; They were short on car wash staff.&#160; I hate to state the obvious, but don't they just drive them through a machine?)&lt;/p&gt;&amp;#13;
&lt;p&gt;In addition, the economy car I had reserved was not available but they would upgrade me (for free) to a premium vehicle (read: Ford Mustang).&#160; Whoopee.&#160; (The girl at the counter also asked if we wanted a hard top or convertible.&#160; Considering it was the East Coast in October and we...&lt;/p&gt;... </description>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;I am currently arguing with Hertz after I (by chance) noticed they'd charged me 70 GBP extra upon the return of my car.&lt;/p&gt;&amp;#13;
&lt;p&gt;The car was 100% full of fuel, i had filled it minutes before arriving back at the returns depot. They've asked me for a receipt for fuel but I paid cash and have no record of the payment.&lt;/p&gt;&amp;#13;
&lt;p&gt;Aside from this the wing mirror cover must've just fallen off at some point because I hit nothing and It wasn't there when I stopped. Luckily i took out super cover but it's as if they were trying to squeeze money out of me in any way they could because they invented the fuel bill instead.&lt;/p&gt;&amp;#13;

      <description>&lt;p&gt;When I rented the Car, the petrol level was at 3/8 but wrongly updated in receipt as 8/8. Later same day, I called the location and informed them about it and I was told it will be updated. (But it was not taken care of).&lt;/p&gt;&amp;#13;
&lt;p&gt;&#160;I returned the car with petrol level at 4/8. But I was charged about 100 USD for petrol.&#160;&lt;/p&gt;&amp;#13;
&lt;p&gt;I called up the Customer Support and was told that they cannot do anything about it and have to call the location from where I rented the car.&#160;&lt;/p&gt;&amp;#13;
&lt;p&gt;Called up the location couple of times and was both the times that they were busy with some customer now and call me back. (They never called back).&#160;&lt;/p&gt;&amp;#13;
&lt;p&gt;Third time, I was able to get someone. I informed him about the problem. He confirmed he has taken care of the same and I will get the amount back in my Credit Card Account in 2 weeks. (Waited for 3 weeks but never got the amount back).&#160;&lt;/p&gt;&amp;#13;
&lt;p&gt;Called up the same location again several times. Every time the person who picked said he cannot do anything about it and his supervisor will call...&lt;/p&gt;... </description>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;I had rented a car and pre-purchased gas so I wouldn't have to find a gas station when I came back to the airport.&#160; I had the car for 5 days, so I naturally had to refuel the car at some point during the time I had it.&#160; When I took it back to Hertz, they charged me for a full tank and will not reimburse me.&#160; It could be a cheap $25 reimbursement and everything would be fine.&#160; Instead the guy who helped me was rude and said that I had &lt;em&gt;clearly&lt;/em&gt;signed for the gas.&#160; When I had the paperwork&#160;of me asking him to please tell me where I had signed, he all the sudden changed his story and said that there was a sign behind that person who rented me a car had the information.&#160; Once I caught him at his game, he became rude and raised his voice over and over at me.&#160; Am I not the customer?&#160; I will never use them again.&lt;/p&gt;... </description>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;A few years ago I frequently travelled back and forth from my home to the Washingon DC area, and Hertz was the car rental place for me every time I arrived there. But, in all honesty I have to admit to having known someone who worked there. &#160;After they found a new job, I also admit to finding a new car rental service as the prices at Hertz were far more than many other car rental places anywhere that I travelled.&#160;&lt;/p&gt;&amp;#13;
&lt;p&gt;Recently I had the opportunity to travel to San Diego, California and shock and surprise - Hertz car rental was actually the least expensive (and quite reasonable) car rental for our family of four. &#160;We require at the least a midsize car due to strollers, suitcases, car seats and children. &#160;&lt;/p&gt;&amp;#13;
&lt;p&gt;After arriving in San Diego 8 hours late due to storms in Houston, we arrived to find that Hertz did indeed still have our reservation (yes I have arrived late at other counters to find that my reservation wasn't held). &#160;However, it was approximately 11:30 pm so there was only one customer...&lt;/p&gt;... </description>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;I was looking for a good deal on a rental car for one day while in Philadelphia, PA and Hertz offered a prepaid rate that was a good $20 or so cheaper than any other!&#160; Not to mention it fit in my budget to pay for most of the car then and would leave only about $20 to pay on the day of the rental.&#160; When my flight got into Philadelphia, I get to the Hertz counter, only to be told they will have to do a preauthorization for $200 OVER what the balance of the rental would be, so a total of $216.00!!&#160; Well, I had not planned for that!&#160; I knew they would do a hold, but Enterprise only holds $50!&#160; So my rental was denied.&#160; They said there was nothing they could do about the hold.&#160;&lt;/p&gt;&amp;#13;
&lt;p&gt;NO WHERE in the terms and conditions could I find that they would hold $200 at the time of the rental.&#160; I did email them and am waiting for their response.&#160; I believe that this is something that SHOULD be in their terms and conditions of rental!&lt;/p&gt;... </description>
