I agree with Chef Ramsey in most cases but I do not agree with the way he talks to the chef's. Of course that is what makes the show work. The first time he called me an "old cow" I would walk out. So, I watch but don't have have the desire to be a top chef....

I love this show, but since Lacey (last season) I wonder if this show is staged. She was a terrible "chef" that had no business there, and why she stayed most of the show is beyond me. This season, a chef from last season just happened to be sitting out in the dining area and he was asked to come back to the show because one of the contestants were not good enough, within 5 minutes of the show. Another "contestant" that same day was crazy and cracked for no reason...security had to get in. Are these people proof of the show having fake contestants thrown in for the ratings???? I also hate the fact that every contestant smokes every season, and they all have bad language...those combined definitely give you a dirty mouth

I love Hell's Kitchen...I love everything about it! Chef Gordon Ramsay tells the truth and yes, some people might think he's being to tough and mean, but I love it! He's got to do that...He wants to make sure the one he chooses can handle the pressure of being a head cook. Like they say " if you can't handle the heat, get out of the kitchen"...so very true on this show...

I just can't get enough!

OK, I understand we have a desire to be entertained and, currently, we seem to be hooked on reality programs, but who would eat at a place where the head chief is screaming and swaring all the time?

And do the guest come for free or do they pay to be ginny-pigs? I mean if someone where to cut the tip of their finger off in my meal...OMG!!! Is that what they mean by finger-food?

Still, I like some of the tips they do provide and some of the food looks very etible. Gordon Ramsey is "interesting" to watch. I wonder if his mentors reated him like dirt when he was trying to learn his way around the kitchen. With a mouth like his, he probably go fired from a few gigs/

If some guy kept yelling me and throwing my cooking all over the kitchen while I was trying to do my best, I'd deck him (maybe that's why I keep watching ??). And how do some the "competitors" keep from using the available meat cleaver on each other?

God knows, I'll be watching the finals...LOL

This is the only reality/competition show that I watch. Chef Ramsey took everything that was great about his Kitchen Nightmares shows (both overseas and US) and amped it up by adding the ability to crush the egos of those who thought they were oh so great and "deserved" to be chefs. Most wouldn't make it in a roadside diner.

It may be the same format every season, but you get new personalities every time and the challenges always change. And we know Ramsey wouldn't tolerate something that was stale.

Gordan Ramsay's blood pressure must be sky high! He throws food, spits out food, smacks his fist on the counters, bangs his head on the wall repeatedly, yells, swears... Then, when he's with the winning team, having dinner he's a gentle man and a gentleman and a fun guy. I think he needs just a bit more medication for bi-polar and for high blood pressure. Is it all an act? Maybe. But I hope he has security guards on set because one of these days a 'chef' may lash back. Not good in a kitchen with an assortment of weapons available. And change the menu........risotto is so 1st season....

I have watched Hell's Kitchen now for 3 yrs. I can't believe people would go on a show knowing how they will be treated by Chef Ramsey. But, obviously they do. So I enjoy watching these people get blasted as they make mistakes that anyone would make in the pressure cooker that they prepare meals in. Ramsey can be tough but he is also fair. If you do a good job you are told if you can't tie your shoe he lets you know about it.

It's different and toward the end mostly enjoyable. Plus you get a few receipes from the show as well.

Although I do believe it is somewhat staged... the shows is entertaining. It is interesting to me to see how people handle pressure situations (getting yelled at A LOT and still show respect for the person yelling). Each season starts with a group of idiots in my book and somehow one of them ends up with a restaraunt to run. I would like to see one season where they actually use people with REAL talent.

My husband and I love to watch Hell's Kitchen and any other show that Gordon Ramsay is on. We don't like reality shows, but Hell's Kitchen is real life. The food produced on that show, is a good example of the kind of food that you get in a lot of restaurants because it isn't checked before it's brought to your table. We can't tell you how many dishes we've sent back because they were still raw, were burned, or were cold. We have a lot of respect for this show because it teaches a vast range of people how to properly prepare and serve food, whether it's to your family or someone else.
We're very much looking forward to the next episode and the next season.

I really love watching Hell's Kitchen. Chef Ramsey is a bit neurotic, but it is his restaurant and I commend him on not sending out food that is not prepared correctly or to his satisfaction. Ultimately, the consumer would blame him for any problems.

His screaming is a bit unnerving, and I'd be scared to death to work in his kitchen. Great show to watch when you really want to see reality.
