I have a dog that is 8 years old and has been using this product all of her life and she has never had any problems. They are easy to give to the dog and the dogs actually like them where as a pill they normally spit them out.

I would recommend this product to all that have dogs.

I buy my dog meds from PetMeds so I get great prices on Heartgard chewables. My dog loves them and thinks he's getting a treat when he gets them and has no clue he's getting medicine! He'd eat the whole box if I let him! And as far as I can tell they work great. We've never had any issues and I have a lazy bulldog that looooooooves to sunbathe outside and we live near a pond so I'm sure there are plenty of mosquitos buzzing around him! Great stuff!

Heartgard is a great product to prevent heartworm. My dog thinks it is a treat with his food once a month. A great bargain for the price and it keeps your dog healthy. Just feed the chewable treat to your dog once a month with their food and they are protected all month. Heartworm is so common in the warmer climates, that heartworm preventative is a must to keep your dog healthy. Just be sure to have a heartworm test before starting the product. If your dog goes off the preventative even for a few months, it is very important to get them tested before starting the preventative again.

I am a recsue advocate and love my wonderful adopted furry family members. With three dogs, I am anxious to provide them with the best possible care and that includes their preventative care using Heartgad Plus Chewables. They love the taste and enjoy the monthly "medicinal" treat. Three dogs are expensive and as such, I need to use all the tools possible to save on trips to the vet. My bulldog loves the chewables..they must take like treats. She is an 8-month old puppy that can tell when you try to give her any sort of pill, but since these are chewable, we just tell her they are treats and down it goes!

It is easy to get my dog to take the medicine without her knowing that Heartgard is medicine. She loves the flavor of Heartgard and looks forward to my going to the cupboard to get her another. I have been giving Heartgard year round for the past 4 years. If we don't give it year round our vet requires an annual blood test to check for heart worms. I really don't like to hurt my puppy any time, so to avoid the annual blood draw I have just resoirtedd to giving the Heartgard year round. I like the frequency of only having to give the medicine once a month. I also like the little stickers in the shape of a heart to place on the calendar as a reminder to give the next dose....

Heartgard is all I have ever used and have never had a problem with it. I have a chihuahua that is small and worry about giving him to many meds but this has never made him sick at all! I get a 6 month supply at the vets for 24.00.I won't even bother trying anything else because this has done the job so far....

I have had dogs all my life and have lost several to heart worms, I really advise people to get Heartgard Plus Chewables because they are very easy to give to your pet and they love the taste of them and it's the best thing you can do for your pet that you love. The photo below shows you the dogs that I have placed on Heartguard. Brandy and Buddy really loves them, in fact they both want to eat the entire package.
