victoria24 says "Annoying at times but mostly fun" about Hasbro Furby

I had 5 Furbies when I was a kid and have really fond memories of them! I would recommend Furby to kids 6 and up and kids at heart.

In case you have been living under a rock, Furby is an interactive toy that talks to you and needs to be fed and taken care of. It's extremely cute and funny. They are furry and come in many colors and patterns. They start out speaking "Furbish," a made up language, and gradually learn more and more English.

I think Furbies have the perfect balance between being interesting and educational but not so demanding that they take over your life. Occasionally they ask to be "fed," and sometimes they seem annoyed if you go for too long without talking to them, but you can always leave them alone and they eventually fall asleep. Sometimes it's hard to tell what the Furby is saying, especially if it's speaking Furbish, but this is what make it so funny and cute!

I loved my Furbies! I don't find them annoying at all. If you don't have time to tend to a Furby, you...
...

Furbys are Amazing! They are the best toys for young ones. My daughter had one.

I can not for any reason see for buying one of these. Although, they may look cute and fuzzy, they are heavier than expected. Also, not for younger children or special needs students. I wasted money buying a few of these for my students, wish I had not. The students did not like any of them, no matter the color or style. Just my humble opinion....

Yeah, yeah, yeah he might be cute and furry but I wasn't very impressed with it. My daughter had to put it in a dark closet every time she wanted it turned off! Maybe we didn't read the directions very well or maybe ours was dysfunctional. In any case I won't purchase another one of the creepy little cuties....

Having a Furby is so much fun. They pick up on what you say to them and repeat it later. Mine was sitting next to a telephone and the next thing you know, it was making a ringing sound. Then one day it was sneezing, after someone in the house had a cold. If you don't want to listen to them, after a few minutes of not being interactive with them, they go to sleep....

My daughter has had a few Furbies. They were all awful. Very cute and creative and fun at first... however, they always ended up with gliches. They wouldn't work properly, and they would start talking at all hours of the day and night and the only way to shut them off was to remove the batteries. I would NEVER reccomemd that any parent buy this toy for their child. And I would not suggest that anyone give one to the child of someone they know... unless you want to really annoy them. The Furby is not worth the money, or the hassle....

This Hasbro toys was the latest craze about 10 years ago but now needs to be retired to the back of the toy bin. It has out lived it time in the toy world. It was overated and overpriced for the first two years and no one could buy them at a reasonable price. Now they collect dust on the shelves of most toy stores. Time to hang it up Hasbro. The fat lady has sing this one song finally....

Quick View: Oh yeah, Furbies are still around and are selling out again! Even though they were introduced years ago (in 1999, I believe) these little interactive guys are still favorites of kids and adults. I had several of them at one time and now only one remains. He had unlearned all I taught him but I am working with him to get his intelligence level up. Furbies are both adorable and incredibly annoying. They are addictive and maddening. They're Furbies!
About the Hasbro Furby

One morning last month, I was sleeping peacefully when I awoke to the sound of a scary yawn. I popped up and looked around and there, sitting on my nightstand, was my old favorite Furby from years ago. My son had found him, batteried him up, and set him on the nightstand. And he woke up. And was apparently hungry. I thought I kicked my Furby addiction but it has returned. Fribble the Furby is now hanging out with me again and slowly learning everything I taught him all over again.

I thought these things went out...
...
